  2. BASIC RULES: (Standard Difficulty and lower)
  3.
  4. 1.-The Op will post a picture containing the digits your post must end on in order to 'Get' (except in the first 2 or 3 posts, where the story sets in)
  5. 2.-The gets controls your actions and dialogues, not the main character's dialogues
  6. 3.-Your character is pretty much a normal magicless human, unless the context says otherwise
  7. 4.-The gets must quote the story post, otherwise they're not valid
  8. 5.-Is the get going to derail the story? keep rolling for a better route!
  9. It's likely that OP picks more than 1 get at the time if the situation calls for it.
  10. 6.-The only scenario where rule 4 would be overlooked is if the actual get attempts to
  11. derail the story
  12. 7.-If the get has nothing to do with the story or it reefers to something other than the story context, it is invalid, users must keep rolling
  13. 8.-There are some posts that will do nothing (See "buzzwords") as they have been done before and contribute nothing to the story. If these posts 'get', keep rolling for the actual get.
  14. 9.-There are some posts that are “context sensitive” A good example of those are “>rape” and “Give him/her the D” (See “semi-buzzwords)
  15. 10.-Keep in mind that posts stating things like “Leave current pony and go with X Pony” though allowed, they must likely just be used as a temporary advice for the main quest.
  16.
  17. Game over (Standard Difficulty and lower)
  18.
  19. At a certain point, it's likely that the course of the story takes a dive for a bad ending. this will trigger a "Restart from last save point" message:
  20.
  21. 1.-When the message is displayed, quote the post you wish to return the story to
  22. 2.-The first post after the restart screen decides
  23. 3.-If an Anon/tripfag/namefag decides that the story shouldn't continue, confirmation about this will be asked, in this case, anyone can overrule his decision.
  24. 4.-If he thread restarts too many times, you will be offered to change to an easier difficulty
  25. 5.-In these difficulties, any story post is a save point
  26.
  27. Buzzwords
  28.
  29. In the past threads, as these posts has been 'got' too many times, they are now considered “buzzwords”
  30. These do nothing and are automatically ruled out as gets. Seeing any post with these as a get is as good as no get at all.
  31. 1.- “Go to X and cum in Y's face” will trigger a message saying “out of reach”
  32. 2.- “Kill yourself” won't do anything
  33. 3.- Anything Mortal Kombat related will trigger a message saying “TOASTY!”
  34. 4.- Anything related to using a “(Dragon)Dildo” won't work if you don't actually own a dildo, in fact, anything saying “Use your X to Y” won't work if you don't have the item. Remember, unless the quests calls for it, you have absolutely no items with you
  35. 5.- “Fist your own anus” will redirect you to a picture of goatse.jpg
  36. 5.-In Hard and Very Hard difficulties, when the Confidence bar is equal or lower to 70, posts with farfetched decisions will be discarded as “thoughts” or will trigger a message saying “You aren't confident enough to do that, keep rolling”
  37. 6.-Any message posted more than once will be ruled out automatically. Messages on the same style will be discarded too and redirected to the first instance.
  38. 7.- Any copypasta will be ignored (see rule 6)
  39. 8.-The “Coon Coon Black baboon” pasta will trigger a message saying “>Implying”
  40. 9.-Any post including "Shrek" will trigger a message saying "LE DREAMWORKS FACE"
  41.
  42. Semi-buzz words
  43.
  44. 1.- “Kill X” normally won't do anything, unless the context calls for it.
  45. 2.- “Give her the D” will trigger a Game over screen if used out of context, same goes with “Cum on <current pony>'s face”
  46. 3.- “>rape” will trigger a 2 part Game over screen if used on crowded places. Much like “Give her the D” and “Kill X” it only works in certain contexts
  47.
  48. Keep in mind that many buzzwords and semi-buzzwords are now included in the “shipost” get category (See “Types of get) and by such, they won't be taken in count.
  49.
  50. Calling out support
  51.
  52. -Gets that include “Call/Summon the spiritual master” or contain only Rene Descartes's portrait will trigger a free advice from your spiritual guide. This is limited to once per thread.
  53. -Gets that include “Call/Summon familiar” or contain a negative/color-inverted picture of Screwball will trigger a free item giving from your familiar. This is limited to once per thread.
  54.
  55. Difficulties:
  56.
  57. These threads start on Adventure (normal) difficulty, but there are a few difficulties this CYOA can be played on too. You can change the difficulty only at the beginning of the thread, before OP's third post. To change difficulties your post should include “#<Level of difficulty> Difficulty”. (See Difficulties)
  58.
  59. Fag (Very easy)
  60.
  61. >There are no gets nor rolls. Post are decided by the OP, the best post decides
  62. >The personalities are pretty loose, anything could happen
  63. >Save system is automatic, every post is a save
  64. >Vanilla gets are allowed
  65.
  66. Moot (Easy)
  67.
  68. >Gets are always three '1 digit' numbers
  69. >The personalities have more personality traits than in 'Fag'
  70. >Save system is automatic, every post is a save
  71. >Vanilla gets are allowed
  72.
  73.
  74. Adventure (Normal)
  75. >Gets start as three '1 digit' numbers, then two '1 digit' numbers and one '2 digits' number, then one '1 digit' number and two '2 digits' numbers.
  76. >Characters are presented in a logical reasonable spectrum of their personalities
  77. >Save system is automatic, every post is a save
  78. >Vanilla gets are restricted (see 'Get types')
  79.
  80. Man mode (Hard)
  81.
  82. >Gets start as two '1 digit' numbers, then one '1 digit' number and one '2 digit' number
  83. >Characters will have traits of personality similar to those in real life
  84. >Your character will have a “Confidence Bar” that will always start in 90 (See 'Confidence bar)
  85. >Vanilla gets are ignored (see 'Get types')
  86. >Saves are manual, to save, type “SAVE ATP” on the subject and get. Keep in mind that even if the post with get says “SAVE ATP” if the post is in fact a buzzword post, it will not count as a save. “Restart from last save point” will only refer to the story post linked to the “SAVE ATP” get
  87.
  88. Legendary (Very Hard)
  89.
  90. >Get is determined by one '1digit' number
  91. >Characters will always have some defect that will prevent an easy interaction with them
  92. >Your character will have a “Confidence Bar” that will always start in 90 (See 'Confidence bar)
  93. >Vanilla gets are ignored (see 'Get types')
  94. >There are no save points, a game over screen will end the adventure
  95.
  96. Get types:
  97.
  98. These are the type of gets that are common on every thread. Keep in mind some of these gets are restricted or ignored in certain difficulties (See “Normal mode” “Hard mode” and “Very Hard mode”)
  99.
  100. The hierarchy of GETs:
  101. 1. Legendary GET: gets that are creative, move the story forward, and are sexy. These gets pretty much define the story and turn a simple date CYOA into a once-in-a-lifetime experience
  102. 2. Two out of 3 get: sexy, creative, 'move things along' gets
  103. 3. Creative get: gets that involve a deep thought line and often involve a deep twist for the story in general
  104. 4. Sexy gets: gets that make the story kinkier (without diving into a shitpost get)
  105. 5. Moves story along: gets that simply move the story forward as the context calls for
  106. 6. Entertaining derails: Derails that , even when they derail the story, they bring amusement to posters in general, they are often distinguished by the lack of negative response and by all the “THIS” that come with it
  107. 7. Gibberish get: gets that ramble about things out of context, often involving questions to character in an inadequate context or talking about something at complete random.
  108. 8. Vanilla gets: Bland gets that doesn't contribute much at the story. Often one liners that can be interpreted in too many ways to be clear
  109. 9. Shitposting get: gets which only interest is to derail not only the story but the thread itself.
  110.
  111. Confidence Bar
  112.
  113. In higher difficulties ('Hard' and 'Very Hard') actions will get filtered by an inhibition system called the “Confidence Bar”. This bar will start at 90, but will decrease depending on how confident, how assertive or just how well is the relationship going with the current pony. The higher the confidence, the more things a get can do.
  114.
  115. -Each story post will remind you of how much confidence you have. Each subsequent post will also include how much confidence you gained or lost
  116. -Gets will be rated according to the context, farfetched gets will have a higher rate where simple things will have a lower one
  117. i.e “rape and kill her” will need a 200 confidence level to be achieved, whereas “Start with an ice breaker” will only require 35
  118. -The lower your confidence is, the more erratic the behavior of your character will be. Even the most simple actions like “peel a banana” will end up with your character spoiling everything.
  119. -The more 'alpha' a get is, the more confidence you'll get.
