Janna saved the picture of Star cuddling up to Marco on her computer. She then texted Jackie, telling her to get on skype. To Janna it felt like it was Christmas morning, she knew Star would eventually take her up on one of her suggestions. She was just surprised it was one of her lame ones, a romantic non-date, guess Marco is more naive than she realized or the kid can't quite let go of his little alien friend just yet. The latter, however, being far more interesting, maybe she's been doing things wrong. Maybe instead of turning both girls against each other she should have been just been making Marco doubt himself, no way he would have gone after Jackie if even for the slightest moment he felt he had a thing for Star. He’d probably freak himself out over the prospect and chose to remain alone with his conflicting thoughts. At least then at the very least it would have given Janna more time to get ready to make her move on him. Janna sighed at the thought of what could have been, what's done is done and now she just has to hope her original plan works. It wasn't long before Jackie was logged into Skype, now the fun was ready to begin. She almost felt bad for manipulating Jackie like this, but love can make a girl do stupid, terrible things. Unforgivable things, even.


"Hey Janna, what's going on?" read Jackie's first message.

"As your friend, I feel that I need to say I told you so," Janna typed back.

"Really Janna? You just want to gloat again," Jackie responded.

"Hey, it's for your own good, I tried to warn you."

"Warn me about what?"

"Not what, who. And you know who I'm talking about," Janna typed back.

Jackie rolled her eyes as she sat in front of her PC. "Let me guess, Star, right?"

"Yeah, Star. You should be freaking out right now."

Jackie honestly wasn't mad. Whatever it is it clearly has some sort of explanation, and besides she's ready to move on from this. The whole jealous bitch thing isn't very fitting for her. Jackie was still surprised how mad she got in the first place. Whatever it is that Star is doing she may or may not deal with it in her own way, as far as Jackie is concerned Star is only setting herself up for heartbreak at this point.

"I'm sending you the picture, one second," Janna typed.

""Fine, send away!" Jackie replied. This was bound to be good.

"There it is," typed Janna as the prompt to see the image came up.

Jackie clicked it. She raised an eyebrow at what she saw but was not filled with rage as much as Janna was hoping for.

"LOOK AT IT OMG RIGHT?" Janna typed in all caps.

"Yeah, Star sure looks comfy sleeping on top of him like that," Jackie replied cooly.

"That's it? You aren't even going to swear?" Janna replied. She couldn't believe Jackie wasn't going over to Marco's house right now to kill Star.

"Why? We've been over this. I trust Marco, and besides, I sort of had a feeling Star would attempt crap like this," Jackie responded. "The real shocker would be if she didn't keep on trying to flirt with Marco or whatever it is that she tried to do exactly."

"And No, Janna, I'm not. Violence is not the answer, I already learned that, besides I don't want to upset Marco if I knock Star out cold," Jackie typed back; she was trying to be the bigger person.

Janna couldn't believe what she was seeing. She was convinced that this more than anything would finally set her off. Finally be the thing that ends up breaking up all three of them, but nope. Jackie sounds more interested in playing more Portal 2 with Marco then talking about Star from what she's saying in the chat. Janna wanted to scream in frustration but held it in; she should have just bitten Marco with her fake vampire teeth during that weird field trip Star took them on. It wouldn't have done anything, but at least it would have given her physical contact with him, hell she'd take a punch to the face from him at this point. Anything to feel that sweet Diaz flesh as it makes contact with hers.

"This picture does have me thinking, though, I promised you we would hang out more, so today lets just hang out, I already taught Marco some of the basics of skateboarding, you should be no problem," Jackie typed but Janna was still not really paying attention.

"What? Oh yeah, sure, okay, later then," Janna finally responded.

"Where did you get this picture anyways? Are you spying on them? Lol!"

"haha no xD I got it from Facebook my um mom added me and she added Marco's mother and blah blah blah we all have each other on Facebook now," Janna typed trying to sound innocent.

"Marco's mom huh? Then I know it's no big deal I don't think she likes me much anyways"

"Huh what why?" Janna asked.

"Just a hunch, I'll explain it to you later, bye I'm going to eat breakfast, I'll cya at the skatepark around 12ish?"

"Yeah sure Jacks 12ish" Janna answered. "Bye"

"Oh wait before I go, have you ever been into Marco's room?" Janna asked.

"What are you implying?"

"Oh no nothing just curious, thinking about pictures and stuff"

Jackie looked a little confused as she saw the text pop up on screen. "Right...well no I have not yet, but I should let Star know I'm not gonna stay away from his house and family forever... Anyways I'm super hungry so yeah bye"

Both girls quit Skype. Janna slammed her hand on her desk in frustration and Jackie punched her bedroom wall leaving a little fist-sized hole above a previous fist-sized hole. Jackie reminded herself to find a way to cover that up before her parents see it. She didn't want to give Janna the satisfaction of knowing she was right, she was indeed mad. While she was honest when she said she knew Star would pull more stunts, she could never be fully prepared for the hallmark greeting card moments Star seems to pull out of her ass. Jackie looked at the picture of comfy Star snuggled on top of Marco again.

"Yeah, that's right you little bitch, keep dreaming, because your dreams are the closest you'll get!" Jackie mumbled to herself.

"If only you knew how bad you lost this little game we’re-" Jackie stopped mid-sentence.

Does she dare? Is she so petty that she would risk embarrassing herself just to metaphorically slap Star across the face? The answer is yes. Jackie returned to her PC and emailed herself the picture of Star and Marco that she then opened on her phone. She memorized Stars phone number from Marco's contact list.

At the Diaz house, Star had gone to her bedroom to change clothes; no way she's going to wear the same outfit twice in one day. She may, however, hold off on washing this one, it still has Marco's scent, and it comforts her.

Her phone began to ring in her pocket. Star was still trying to figure out how to get Space unicorn on it, that thing is so cute. She noticed it was a text message, from Jackie no less, Star wondered what she could want. She opened the text app to find out.

"I know what you are doing," the text read.

Star looked around her room. Holy Cow maybe Jackie really did install the camera?

"I don't understand Jackie," Star texted back. "What am I doing?"

Jackie sent her the picture of her and Marco on the couch. Stars eyes opened up wide in shock. Someone took a picture of...wait...Marco's mother was doing something on her phone when she woke up. "Oh no! No, no, no, no!" Star thought to herself; she had never intended for Jackie to find out about last night. How could Mrs. Diaz betray her like that? She doesn't even like Jackie, Star overheard her talking to Marco's father about her.

"That girl is going to be the type that skates all day and smokes weed all night, do you want Marco doing that, too?" Star remembers her complaining to Marco's father.

"God no! Skaters can be major douchebags I don't want Marco turning into that," was his father's reply. She had then heard a smacking sound and Mr. Diaz saying "oww" Star got bored with the rest of their talk and zoned out she was just happy Mrs. Diaz didn't like Jackie with Marco either.


"Jackie look it's not Marco that initiated what you saw," Star finally replied.

"Oh I know, I trust Marco more than I trust my own family, it's you I have the problem with but not anymore," Jackie responded. "I'm only going to tell you once more: you lost, get over it, just leave him alone! Stop with this flirty crap, he does not care at all!"

Star sent an angry emoji. "He may be your boyfriend, but you don't know him nearly as well as I do, you two aren't married and nothing is over, UNDERSTAND?!"

"I have something to show you, I don't want to do it but clearly no amount of me yelling at you is going to work and Marco would hate it if I threw your magic ass off a cliff, the sweet lovable make love not war bastard that he is."

Star rolled her eyes. "Yeah, yeah Jackie, whatever, not my fault you can't handle a little competition," Star quickly typed back.

Jackie sent Star an image, she opened it and immediately regretted it. It was a picture of Jackie topless on top of Marco as he kissed her he himself shirtless, the same one from yesterday. All of a sudden it made sense when Marco joked that he was thinking about parts of Jackie...those parts.

"He really does look hot shirtless," Star said weakly to herself

"NOW YOU SEE? BACK OFF!! OR NO WAIT, YOU KNOW WHAT? KEEP THROWING YOURSELF AT HIM, I WANT TO SEE HIM REJECT YOU OVER AND OVER AGAIN, ITS BOUND TO BE HILARIOUS!!" Jackie typed in all caps.

Star began to hyperventilate. She couldn't top that. Maybe it was over; Marco would never love her now that Jackie has done that for him. Star let a single tear drop, she held the phone in her hand and she squeezed it. A little too hard though.

The phone shattered in her hand lodging bits of glass from the screen into her flesh drawing blood. It began to trickle down onto the carpet, but Star didn't care nor feel it.

She didn't feel anything anymore.
