  1. The Humanity Lost
  2. Type: ?
  3. Background Cost: 15
  4.
  5. This strange totem, tied inextricably to a dreadful Wyrm totem, was borne of the wishes of none other than penitent vampires. It represents the desire to see the sun again, to taste a dinner plate instead of crimson blood, to breathe and have one's own children. The Humanity Lost appears only to those rare Garou who would hesitate to raise a claw against a Cainite just minding their own business. It appears as a pale face in the crowd, human as can be if not for the fangs peeking out of its mouth and the glimmer of pain in its eyes.
  6.
  7. Of the very few Garou who know of this spirit's existence, some view it as nothing less than a death sentence to the packs it chooses. Many conservative Garou would see mercy against any vampire as a sign of weakness at best, and the mark of a traitor at worst. As a result, the packs that follow the Humanity Lost are seldom seen doing business at septs and rarely hold any status because of it; it's simply too dangerous given the unforgiving nature many Garou have toward the Kindred. They seek their Renown directly from the spirits as some Fera do, instead.
  8.
  9. Others who know it, however, theorize that perhaps, somewhere within that society of blood and backstabbing, there's a glimmer of hope. They believe that perhaps the Wyrm's grip on the Kindred can be loosened, and that this totem is evidence of that.
  10.
  11. Individual Traits: A follower of Humanity Lost gains access to the Gifts: Blood Scent, Persuasion, and Smell of Man, as well as an additional point of permanent Willpower. These benefits are lost if Humanity Lost ever withdraws its patronage. However, they *lose* four points of temporary honor, and subtract 1 from any award of Honor renown in the future.
  12. Pack Traits: Packs who follow Humanity Lost each have access to an additional three dots of Politics and Law.
  13. Ban: The Humanity Lost declares no quarter against Kindred who willfully let their ties to their lost light degrade. A pack who follows Humanity Lost must seek out and destroy vampires on Paths of Enlightenment other than Humanity. In addition, the children of Humanity Lost must help those who truly repent to rebuild what they've lost to the Beast.
  14.

  16. The Beast Within
  17. Type: Corruption
  18. Background Cost: 15
  19.
  20. This totem, tied inextricably to another totem that reflects Humanity, is a blood-hungry, instinctual monster. It appears as the shadow of a human, dripping in blood and viscera, with fangs the size of pocket knives, always clutching a dead and bleeding body, and its packs aren't terribly much different to that depiction. It is the manifestation of everything Gaian Garou hate about vampires, and that alone has drawn the attention of many a pack of Black Spiral Dancers to its side. It represents the slow slide into monstrosity, the thing that many Kindred fear, and many more utterly embrace. In fact, the Spiral packs that follow the Beast Within eventually begin to take on aspects of the Curse of Caine themselves. Sunlight begins to burn them, and they find solid food less palatable than blood.
  21.
  22. Individual Traits: A bastard that follows the Beast Within takes bashing damage for every five minutes he spends in direct sunlight, and feels compelled to consume at least a pint of blood alongside every meal. As far as benefits go, however, the bastard is considered to have a pool of five Blood Points that he may spend in place of Gnosis to fuel his damned powers.
  23. Pack Traits: Packs who follow the Beast Within collectively reduce the difficulty on frenzy rolls by 2, and gain access to three dots each of Politics and Intimidation.
  24. Ban: Spirals who follow the Beast Within must do whatever they can to erode Humanity in the Kindred. They must also attempt to destroy any vampire who has reached the mythical state of Golconda.
