  1. Unfortunately the Royal Sicilian Rangers have disbanded as of this discussion being posted. This may come as a surprise to some and an expected inevitability to others, however myself and Minsk have decided it’s for the best that the regiment not continue. This is due in part to my own lack of motivation to lead, however we feel that even a change in leadership would be simply delaying the inevitable because of recent lowered attendance, dwindling motivation from regular members and a lack of any incoming recruits.
  2. However, despite this unfortunate conclusion I can honestly say I can look back on this regiment and consider it a success; we started around seven months ago as a standalone skirmisher/light infantry regiment led by individuals with no or very little past leading experience, and despite this managed to make a name for ourselves and consistently attend an average of four events every week. In our prime, we often even achieved a full line-up of fifteen men for certain events (and I shan’t bring up the train wreck that was the very temporary Royal Sicilian First Battery).
  3. I would like to thank a few members in particular for their consistent presence and for helping us solidify a strong community: Serjeant Mariachi, Corporals Archibald and Kaiser, Lance Corporals Sheki and Kasabian, Chosen CSB Warg, Chosen Men Kero, Sytnos, KeeXeyn, Tomas, Eddard Stark, CalluM and honorary Chosen Man Solax. I sincerely thank you all for your continued supporting of the regiment. I also want to thank Lieutenant Minsk Meat, who far too often picked up my slack and who generally gave the regiment too much to even list.
  4. As for what comes next, we are keeping the RSR Teamspeak and converting it into a social area, unaffiliated with any group and managed by myself and Minsk. I’m afraid I lack a clear direction to point any of you who wish to continue playing Warband within this community; the 48th Regiment of Highlanders have shown interest in starting a skirmishers detachment, so should any of you be interested in being a part of this please express this interest to myself (they will be looking for both members and leaders, however past leading experience may not be necessary to those of you who would be interested in officer positions).
  5. I think that pretty much sums everything up. I hope that those of you who were part of the regiment will continue to remain in contact with myself and the others, however should you instead wish to move on I understand and wish you the best in your future endeavours.
