  7.
  8. Version Differences:
  9. -This game was released across 4 platforms: PC, GameCube, XBOX and PS2
  10.
  11. -GCN is the glitchiest, Batter-Ed clipping works in a lot of 90 degree corners, making S3.1 fence clip possible
  12. -Console versions have a lot of lag in specific areas which is not present on the PC version, saving time
  13. -XBOX and PS2 have the slowest load times, GCN has the second fastest and PC has the fastest loads
  14. -PS2, XBOX and PC have minor differences in the levels, such as;
  15. -The Scam 3 Fence Clip is patched on PS2/XBOX/PC, thus you either have to do the plank section normally or perform Tractor 1 skip
  16. -Lag affects some things in the console versions, for example Edd can clip out of bounds for no reason in Scam 4 and die, presumably due to the lag present in the level. This is rare but it can happen
  17. -The end of Scam 3 Pt. 1 is empty on GCN, however a dog enemy was added in the other versions
  18. -For some reason the game can crash at the beginning of the Kanker battle on GCN. There is no real reason as to why this happens
  19. -Scam 1's cat moves around randomly on the PS2/XBOX/PC versions however he will ALWAYS be stuck in the same spot on GCN
  20.
  21. General Tips:
  22. -Remember your Ed switching!! This is extremely important in optimizing your runs. Knowing how many times to press a button to switch and knowing which Ed you need to use next is crucial in runs. The switch order goes Ed>Edd>Eddy however this order will be different at the beginning of stages where you start as Eddy. When you start as Eddy in a stage the order will become Eddy>Edd>Ed, however the order will revert back to normal after one full switch to all 3 Eds.
  23.
  24. -Whether or not you want to do Scam 4 powercell skip is entirely up to you; if you DO want to go for it in runs, keep in mind the method currently used is not 100% consistent and the skip is very unlikely to work on the first few tries. Just do the powercell part as you normally would if you are not feeling comfortable with the skip yet.
  25.
  26. -Know your RNG! RNG can be a bitch in a lot of cases, screwing your run over due to something you could not control. Simply just figure out where the most RNG heavy spots are and LEARN TO IMPROVISE! Thinking of backup strats on the fly in case of bad RNG is a must for running this game, especially in Scam 1 where bad RNG can cost you 20+ seconds!
  27.
  28. PROTIP: RNG Heavy spots for your convenience
  29. -Scam 1: the entire scam as a whole
  30. -Scam 2: Bridge Skip (rats can screw you over)
  31. -Scam 3 Pt. 1: small patch of land filled with rats and red squirrels, right next to the bridge leading to Kevin's can minigame (enemy positioning and AI can waste time)
  32. -Scam 3 Pt. 2: none
  33. -Scam 4: Red Powercell Room w/ rats (disregard this if you are doing Powercell Skip), Victor battle (number of hits needed to knock him into the water is random due to his movement pattern, 1 hit is godly, 2 hits is average and 3+ hits is just bad RNG)
  34. -Scam 5: Ed positioning during OoB method of Scam 5 Skip
  35. -Scam 6: Victor battle, The Quadruple Dog Room (very easy to die with bad dog placement), Squirrels and heart projectiles during the final Kanker battle (getting hit by a heart or a squirrel while carrying a can messes up it's throwing physics which can and WILL waste time if it happens).
