- >Episode 7 aired!
- How did you all enjoy episode 7, "That Lie is a Scar"?
- I'm sure most people were flabbergasted by the knee Ulith gave Akira immediately.
- That wasn't a card attack at all. Please don't try this at home.
- >Knee slam
- Ulith was appalled by the way Hitoe was visibly hurt.
- On the other hand, Mirurun very deliberately says "Uwa, Aki-lucky got an earful!"
- She's Akira-level of riling people up.
- >Akira hits her card with a "Shut the fuck up, you bitch!"
- To a normal person, she just looks like somebody smacking a card...
- >Ulith's motive
- This episode, although her logic was vague, we got to hear Ulith's reason for wanting to battle Ruuko.
- Ulith's desire is solely to destroy that which is beautiful and right.
- The only place she can fulfil her wish is within Selector battles...
- {TN: This image is some Evangelion level shit}
- >She has crushed the hearts of many a girl during her time as a Selector
- Among all the Selectors she's faced, Ruuko, the strongest, is the one she wants to crush the most.
- Ruuko steeled herself to battle against Ulith in order to save Hitoe.
- >Ruuko VS Ulith, both with Black-White mixed decks
- This battle, here are their respective decks:
- Ruuko: Maze and Ancient Weapon SIGNI with a white-black mix
- Ulith: Angel and Devil SIGNI with a white-black mix
- Both of their decks are a mix of darkness and light. Thusly, their decks serve as a nice reflection of the story itself.
- >Ulith's second turn
- She summons Sudden Ruination Urie and Symbol of Immortality Cosmo
- This is the layout at the end of that turn.
- You can see Forerunner Archangel Archgain in her hand!
- Then, on the next turn.
- Ruuko starts attacking early.
- >"Iona-san! Death Beam!"
- >Byoon
- Death Beam is an Art from the preconstructed Iona deck.
- The cost is a bit high, but it can banish an opposing SIGNI regardless of its power.
- I recommend this Art for people who get confused at ones with complicated effects.
- The game proceeded with attacks flying back and forth, and eventually both reached level 4. Then...
- Ruuko's sixth turn. She grows Iona to level 5.
- >Ruuko is already down to 0 Life Cloth. She's on the brink of defeat.
- You can only grow Iona level 5 when your own Life Cloth is 1 or less.
- As long as level 5 Iona is out, both you and your opponent may only summon one SIGNI.
- >"Dark Matter!" Ruuko strongly shouts, as if asking for answers.
- Dark Matter is the very definition of an Art made for level 5 Iona.
- It clears both you and your opponent's SIGNI zones, and adds one to your Life Cloth.
- The tables are turned! Or so she thought...
- Iona's attack was blocked by Baroque Defense.
- At this time, Tama had 2 Life Cloth, and Iona 1.
- Both have Arts to spare, so either has the potential to win.
- And then, despite being in the middle of the battle, Iona began to speak of Mayu...
- >The current layout. She picks a good point to stop and speak about something important...
- >The truth about who Mayu really is will be revealed
- Iona reveals a shocking truth.
- A truth about the girl named Mayu.
- The girl lived in isolation since her birth, and knew nothing of the outside world.
- She is the Girl of Beginnings who gave birth to the Girl of Light and the Girl of Darkness.
- Given the story thus far, the Girl of Light must be Tama, and the Girl ofDarkness Iona. ANd yet...
- Many mysteries remain, but the one thing for certain is that Mayu holds the key to understanding the Selector battles.
- What will come of this battle?
- I'm sure you're on the edge of your seat, so please wait excitedly for next week!
- >(...Can she even battle like this?)
