  1. SnK's main heroine doesn't stand a chance againts Haru, but its MC felt more reliable and played a bigger role in the overall story. All the SnK side characters are far more memorable than G-Sensou and that made me enjoy the SoL elements a lot more. And you can't best a Wakamoto antagonist.

  3. Also, while SnK happens in an alternate universe, G-Sensou is developed in the real world. I had trouble with the immersion at times because of that. I had trouble believing some of the developments.

  5. But my biggest issue with G-Sensou was this: I enjoy mystery a lot and in mystery fiction any "twin brother" twist is fucking cheap. It's really hard to make that kind of twist work and deliver it in a satisfying way. And I think that G-Sensou failed to do that in spite of the excessive foreshadowing. It never crossed my mind that such a lazy device was going to be used in what tried to be a good mystery VN. I wanted the truth to be more complex than a "twin brother" reveal. The delivery was more of a let down than a surprise.

  7. Finally, the SnK characters didn't wear such a blatant plot armor as Maou did in G-Sensou. And all its twists relied on a sturdy and clever writing to blow your mind, not "survived a plane crash" twist.
