  1. Note: I wrote this story as a guest writer for the Little Miracle Monster Orphanage written by timiddarkspy. If you're curious about the source material, it can be found at http://monstergirlunlimited.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=4152. Also, to avoid confusion, Fubuki and Katy are the co-founders of the orphanage and are a yuki-onna and echidna respectively.
  2.
  3. Four Goblins and One Hobgoblin
  4.
  5. Fubuki sighed as she finished a bit of her paperwork. Sitting back in her chair, she reached for her mug of hot chocolate, which had long since cooled down to a more reasonable temperature for the yuki-onna. She examined the swirling, melted remains of the marshmallows before taking a long sip of the chocolate brew. Deciding that now would be a good time to take a much needed break, she couldn’t help but feel a little annoyed when someone decided to knock on her office door.
  6.
  7. “Come in,” said Fubuki, putting on her best winning smile. Her new guests were a short, portly man and a taller, almost stick thin woman. “Hello.”
  8.
  9. “Hello! The name’s Michael and this is my wife, Emily.”
  10.
  11. “Nice to meet you, Miss?”
  12.
  13. “Fubuki.” Fubuki got out of her chair and bowed slightly. “Would I be right to assume that you are looking to adopt?”
  14.
  15. “Yes we are,” said Emily while nodding.
  16.
  17. “Can I inquire as to why you wish to adopt one of our girls?” Both of them seemed to become depressed after Fubuki’s inquiry.
  18.
  19. “Well,” started Michael, “my brother and his wife, there was an accident and they…”
  20.
  21. “Are no longer with us,” finished Emily. She took hold of her husband’s hand and squeezed it tight before continuing. “We’re taking care of their son. Galen’s a nice boy, but very quiet and he hasn’t been taking this very well.”
  22.
  23. “I can imagine.” It wasn’t hard. A few of the girls at the orphanage shared a similar story. Katy did too if she remembered correctly. It wasn’t an enviable situation.
  24.
  25. Michael continued, “He hasn’t been making any friends since he moved in with us and he isn’t talking to us either. We were hoping if we had someone closer to his own age living with us, maybe he’d open up a little bit.”
  26.
  27. “I’m sorry. While your intentions do seem to be admirable, I can’t let you adopt any of our girls if it’s only to help your nephew. They deserve better than that.”
  28.
  29. “And we agree!” exclaimed Emily as she let go of Michael’s hand and approached Fubuki. “The truth is that we’ve been having some trouble having children on our own.” Fubuki couldn’t help but notice as Michael turned a dark shade of red and turned away out of embarrassment. “We were already considering adoption. This situation just helped us make our decision.” Fubuki studied the couple’s faces. When she was convinced that they were sincere, she gave the two of them a warm smile.
  30.
  31. “If that’s the case, then I have no objections. Would you like to meet some of our girls?”
  32.
  33. “Oh yes!” said Emily as Michael sighed in relief. “I wonder if Galen’s already met someone he likes.”
  34.
  35. “You brought your nephew with you?” inquired Fubuki as she followed the couple out of the office.
  36.
  37. “Yeah, he said he didn’t have anything better to do so he came with us. Is that a problem?” inquired Michael.
  38.
  39. “No problem at all. In fact I would like to meet him. Where is he?”
  40.
  41. “Oh he was just going to wait outside your office.” As they entered the hallway, they noticed that there was a notable lack of… well anyone in the hallway. This revelation made Fubuki rather anxious. “That’s odd. I wonder where he could have gone,” said Michael as he scratched his head.
  42.
  43. “I’m sure he’s fine!” said Fubuki, hoping desperately that neither of her potential adoptees noticed that she was on the verge of panicking. “I’m sure he just ran off to have a little fun with our girls or something! Nothing to worry about!” Emily looked at Fubuki quizzically before a giant ant entered the hallway. “You there! Have you seen any young men around?” The giant ant shook her head. “I see. Very well, tell the others that if they see a young man who goes by the name of Galen that they are to bring him to me immediately. Understand?” The giant ant nodded. Fubuki walked up to the ant and whispered, “And I want you to keep this quiet. We don’t want to have another incident like last time, do we?”
  44.
  45. “Understood,” confirmed the giant ant in an almost bored tone.
  46.
  47. “Good. And if you find out who might have taken him, bring them to my office so that there can be some punishment!”
  48. The giant ant looked at her quizzically before asking, “For the perpetrator or for you?”
  49.
  50. “I’m going to pretend I didn’t hear that. Now hurry up and go search!” Fubuki walked back to Michael and Emily and asked, “Ok you two, why don’t we go meet up with some of our girls?”
  51.
  52. Galen was lost but, considering that he was gagged and blindfolded, being lost was the least of his troubles. The teen tried to struggle, but he couldn’t break the grip of whatever it was that was carrying him off. Eventually, he was practically thrown into a chair and had his hands quickly tied behind it. When he was finally secured, something pulled off his blindfold. The sudden light hurt his eyes, but when they got used to it he found himself in some sort of communal bedroom in the company of five goblins. Well, four goblins and a hobgoblin. The hobgoblin was wearing a red tube top that strained to contain her almost comically large breasts. The generous amount of upper and under-boob showed that her top was fighting a losing battle. Her red and white shorts seemed to be rather plain in comparison. One of the goblins wore a blue tube top with a pair of blue jeans cut just past her knees. Every once in a while she would push up her slightly oversized, lens less, horned rim glasses so they wouldn’t fall off her face. Another goblin wore a pink tube top with a pink skirt. She wore her hair in a ponytail held up with a pink scrunchy and carried an oversized white bag with pink floral patterns. The third goblin was slightly taller than the others and wore a black tube top with black cargo pants. She had black hair, but her roots were ruddy brown which implied that it was dyed. The final goblin was considerably shorter than the others and wore a yellow tube top with yellow shorts. She seemed to be the youngest since her horns were smaller and stubbier than the others. Her shoulder length twin tails waved back and forth as she jittered excitedly.
  53.
  54. “Good going girls! We’re officially done with the hardest part of the plan!” stated the hobgoblin. Turning to face Galen, she continued, “Please do not be alarmed, we will not hurt you. Until our plan is complete, you are under the protection of G5!” While it was obvious that the hobgoblin was expecting her declaration to be inspiring, it only left Galen confused. “Oh, right. You don’t know about us… Silly me! Alright girls, ROLE CALL!” she shouted as Galen slowly started trying to untie himself.
  55.
  56. The blue clad goblin pushed up her glasses and stated, “My name is Gabi, and I am the Blue Goblin, the most intellectual member of G5. Nothing can escape my great intellect!”
  57.
  58. The pink goblin curtseyed before saying, “Like, I’m Glenda the Pink Goblin. I’m, like, totally in charge of first aid and junk!”
  59.
  60. The goblin in black closes her eyes and murmurs, “I am known as Gemma, the feared Black Goblin… My might is second to none…”
  61.
  62. The short yellow clad goblin raises her hand and jumps in place a couple times before shouting, “My name is Gloria! I’m the super cute and per…per…perpe…perpetual?” She looked up to the others, who were smiling and congratulating her on managing such a tough big word. She grins and restarts, “I’m the super cute and perpetually happy and energetic Yellow Goblin!”
  63.
  64. “And I’m Gwen, the Red Goblin and the de facto leader of our group,” brags the hobgoblin. They all gather together and make what can only be described as a super sentai group pose before shouting, “And we are G5!” The group calling themselves G5 stared at Galen, while posing, to gauge his reaction to their performance. Galen, on the other hand, didn’t react much at all, mostly because he had no idea of how to react. “So… What do you think?” asked Gwen with a strained face as she tried to maintain her pose. There was a brief moment of awkward silence before Gwen realised her mistake. “Oh! Right… The gag… Gemma, ungag him.” Gemma nodded after they all stopped posing and approach Galen. She then removed the black and white patterned bandana that served as the makeshift gag and then tied it around her head.
  65.
  66. “So, what are you going to do to me?” asked Galen.
  67.
  68. Gwen puffed up with pride, her top becoming even more strained in the process. “You, friend, are but one cog in my ingenious plan to get adopted.”
  69.
  70. “What?” asked Galen again, understanding even less about the situation that he found himself in than before.
  71.
  72. Gwen turned to Gabi. “How many girls have been adopted?”
  73.
  74. Gabi thought for a bit before answering, “Around forty.”
  75.
  76. “That sounds about right,” mused Gwen, “Roughly forty girls have been adopted, and not a single one has been me! So we came up with a plan.”
  77.
  78. “First we wait until potential parents come over with their son,” stated Gabi as she rearranged her glasses.
  79.
  80. “Then we, like, snatch the guy!” exclaimed Glenda.
  81.
  82. “Then we use him to convince his parents to adopt big sis Gwen!” Gloria excitedly explained.
  83.
  84. “Then Gwen gets adopted,” finished Gemma.
  85.
  86. Galen looked at the goblins for a moment before asking, “That’s it? That’s your plan?”
  87.
  88. “Yup! I even came up with it myself! Pretty good, right?” bragged the hobgoblin.
  89.
  90. “Quick question about your plan. After the kidnapping, how do you convince the parents to adopt you?” All of G5 looked at Galen with a blank expression. After what felt like a minute, the whole group breaks out into a panic.
  91.
  92. “He’s right! We spent so much time focusing one step one, we forgot to think about step two!” shrieked a rather panicked Gwen.
  93.
  94. “Like, how could we have totally forgotten half of a two-step plan!” an equally panicky Glenda added.
  95.
  96. “The lack of logic in our plan has left my tormented soul in even greater despair!” said Gemma before curling into a ball and rocking back and forth.
  97.
  98. “LOUD NOISES!!!!!!!” yipped Gloria, with an oddly happy and excited look on her face.
  99.
  100. “How did we miss something so huge?!?!” shouted Gabi who was also holding her head while shaking it back and forth.
  101.
  102. “How did we miss it?” questioned Gwen as she turned to face Gabi, breasts swaying as she did. “How did YOU miss it? You’re the smart one!”
  103.
  104. Gabi stopped thrashing about and quietly responded, “W-well, you see… When you told us the plan, you were so excited about it that I got excited and the way you talked about made it sound like the plan was already perfect so I…”
  105.
  106. Gwen was about to say something, but instead closed her mouth and eyes to try to calm down. With a huff she said, “Sometimes I wonder about you. You’ve really disappointed me this time Gabi.”
  107.
  108. “DISAPPOINTED!!!!!” Gabi was so shocked by Gwen’s statement that her glasses fell off her face. She then joined Gemma on the floor muttering “disappointed” over and over again. Galen had to hold back his laughter at the group’s overreaction.
  109.
  110. “Ah geez, don’t start that,” Gwen said with an exhausted look on her face. “I’m sorry Gabi. We have this guy here, so maybe we can figure something out. We’re not giving up on this y-“
  111.
  112. “Excuse me, but have any of you seen a boy anywhere?” asked a giant ant, interrupting Gwen’s rallying speech. The goblins stare at the intruder before looking at each other and nodding as if agreeing to an unspoken plan. Gemma and Gloria run past the giant ant and out the door. Gabi moves towards Galen and lifts him, chair and all, over her head effortlessly. Gwen and Glenda move to the giant ant’s side and managed to push her to the side. With the path to the door clear, Gabi tosses Galen towards Gemma, only realizing too late that she threw too hard when Galen’s head hits the top of the door frame. Galen, slightly senseless from his collision, screams in pain as he continues to fly through the air before Gemma catches him and continues running.
  113.
  114. “Sorry!” Gabi shouts as she follows Gwen and Glenda out of the room and shuts the door. They continued to run through the maze of hallways that made up the orphanage. Their progress was unhindered, until they ran into a teenaged minotaur and amazon talking in the hallway. “Trouble ahead! Trouble ahead!”
  115.
  116. “What’s going on?” asked the amazon, turning to look at the group rushing towards them.
  117.
  118. “Well well well, it’s those goblins again and they have a guy all trussed up and ready for fun! You girls don’t mind if we take him off your hands, do ya?” asked the minotaur, liking her lips in anticipation on what she’ll do with Galen.
  119.
  120. “Darn it!” exclaimed Gwen huffing and puffing behind the rest of the group, “Gemma, Gloria deal with them!”
  121.
  122. “Roger,” acknowledged Gemma before throwing Galen and his chair into the air. He couldn’t help but scream as he flew through the air before being caught by Gwen.
  123.
  124. “Okie dokie Loki!” exclaimed Gloria as she hurried to catch up with Gemma. After she reached her, Gemma picked her up and threw her as hard as she could towards the amazon. Gloria screamed out “GOBLIN PAWNCH!!!!” as she collided into the amazon’s stomach head first, knocking her to the ground.
  125.
  126. “What the!?!” exclaimed the surprised minotaur, not noticing Gemma run up next to her.
  127. When Gemma was right beside the minotaur, she jumped up yelling “BLAZING INFERNAL UPPERCUT!” She then hit the minotaur with enough force to knock her on her ass. When the rest of the group caught up with them, Gwen placed Galen’s chair on the ground.
  128.
  129. “Good work team. You two were awesome!” said Gwen smiling.
  130.
  131. “… It was nothing for someone like me,” stated Gemma who was trying to simultaneously glow at Gwen’s praise and scowl like she didn’t care.
  132.
  133. Gloria got off of the amazon, stumbled a bit before saying, “I’m dizzy! Woooh!” It was clear that Gloria hadn’t heard her leader’s compliment and probably didn’t care.
  134.
  135. “You’re gonna pay for that, squirt!” threatened the minotaur as she started to stand back up, spooking the goblins.
  136.
  137. “Urgh. I think I’m going to be sick…” mumbled the amazon, clutching at her stomach while trying to roll over.
  138.
  139. “Uh oh! CHEESE IT!” commanded Gwen. Gemma then hoisted Galen and his chair over her head once again, eliciting a yelp from the teen, before running off down the hallway. Gabi scooped up the still dizzy Gloria and followed Gemma while carrying the younger goblin bridal style. After Glenda followed behind Gabi, Gwen started to follow the group, but tripped over her own feet and fell to the floor. The others stopped and turned to go help their leader, but Gwen shouted, “Don’t worry about me and just get the guy to the next safe place! I’ll take care of these two!”
  140.
  141. “Like, try to be careful!” shouted Glenda before the group raced down the corridor. Galen soon lost track of himself as he was carried through the labyrinthine orphanage. After a number of twist and turns, they arrive at their destination, another empty bedroom. “That was, like, totally a close one!”
  142.
  143. “Do you think big sis Gwen’s going to be ok?” asked a rather worried looking Gloria.
  144.
  145. Gemma walked up to one of the beds and placed Galen and his chair next to it before answering, “I wouldn’t be too worried. She is stronger than all of us.”
  146.
  147. “You really think so?” asked the small goblin.
  148.
  149. Gabi walked up to her small companion and gave her a reassuring hug from behind before saying, “Of course. She’s the leader of G5 for a reason you know.” With the reassurances of her friends, Gloria broke out into a big smile and giggle. After breaking the hug, Gabi asked, “Glenda, could you take a look at him. He smucked his head pretty bad when we escaped.” Glenda responded with a nod and approached Galen while taking medical supplies out of her bag.
  150.
  151. “Like whoa, you’ve totally got a cut on your forehead! I’ll get you, like, fixed up likety split!” Soon Glenda had Galen’s injury cleaned and bandaged up. She then pulled out a book out of her bag, opened it up and started asking, “So guy, like do you have a headache or something?”
  152.
  153. “No…”
  154.
  155. “Do you, like, feel dizzy or confused? Are you experience nausea or dizziness?”
  156.
  157. “No. My heads a little sore, but I’m doing fine regardless.”
  158.
  159. “Good. Sounds like you totally didn’t get a concussion!” said Glenda as she closed her book and turned around. “He’s totally going to be ok!” The goblins collectively breathed a sigh of relief at the good news. Galen however was trying to come up with a means of escape. The ropes tying him to the chair had come undone during the race down the halls, but he was still surrounded by goblins. Each of whom could probably overpower him easily, so he decided to wait for an opportunity to escape presented itself. Maybe he could get them to fight each other?
  160.
  161. “Hey, so now that Big Red isn’t here, would any of you girls want to let me go?” asked Galen, trying to come off as friendly as possible. “If one of you could help me get out of here, I might be able to put in a good word and get you adopted.”
  162.
  163. “Sorry.”
  164.
  165. “No…”
  166.
  167. “Like no way Jose.”
  168.
  169. “Nope, nope, nopity nope!”
  170.
  171. “What? So none of you want to get adopted?” asked Galen rather incredulously.
  172.
  173. “Like, of course we do,” responded Glenda while putting away her supplies.
  174.
  175. “Then why?”
  176.
  177. “The Red Goblin asked for our help…”
  178.
  179. “And since big sis Gwen asked for our help, we have to keep at it till she gets a new mommy and daddy!”
  180.
  181. Galen sighed before saying, “I don’t know how to tell you this, but I think she’s using you.”
  182.
  183. “NO SHE ISN’T!” shouted Gabi. She appeared rather angry. “She isn’t using us, so take that back!”
  184.
  185. Shocked, Galen muttered, “I’m just saying that from what I’ve see-“
  186.
  187. “You haven’t seen anything, Mr. I’ve-only-known-you-for-an-afternoon-but-I-know-everthing-about-you!” spat Gabi, interrupting Galen in the process. She then walked up to and climbed onto Galen so that she could look him straight in the eye. “Gwen is one of the single most amazing people I’ve ever known! Back when I first came here, all I ever did was read books in the library. I was shy and all of the other girls scared me, so I just hid away, but she made sure that I was never alone! She was always there to listen when I had problems and she helped me come out of my shell and actually meet people! I owe her so much that I’d gladly do anything for her!”
  188.
  189. “Whoa! Like, calm down Gabi. You’re totally going all spazoid on us,” gently lectured Glenda. In response, Gabi began to blush and got down off of Galen and his chair.
  190.
  191. “Sorry…”
  192.
  193. “… So do you all have stories like that?” asked Galen, feeling a little responsible for Gabi’s outburst.
  194.
  195. “Sort of. Like, a lot of girls used to totally pick on me because of how I speak and stuff. But Gwen totally stuck up for me! Sure she got beat up and stuff, but eventually they, like, stopped bugging me all the time.” As she finished, Glenda started to smile.
  196.
  197. “When I first arrived here, my power intimidated the others. I had long accepted that someone such as I would never be accepted and that I would be alone for all of eternity.” Gemma paused briefly before continuing. “But then I met the Red Goblin. Never before has there been anyone who was brave enough to approach me, let alone chall-“
  198.
  199. “Like, what she’s trying to say is that she’s this total weirdo who didn’t talk to anyone. One day, she got into a fight with Gwen over some pie and decided that they were, like, friends when they were done,” interrupted Glenda. Gemma shoots her a glare while a light blush appears on her face.
  200.
  201. “That’s not what happened!”
  202.
  203. “That’s, like, totally how that happened!”
  204.
  205. “But it doesn’t sound as cool when you say it like that!” Galen couldn’t help but chuckle at the immature display. He almost doesn’t notice Gloria tugging at his sleeve.
  206.
  207. “Can I tell my story? Please, please, pleeeeeease!”
  208.
  209. “Sure, go ahead.”
  210.
  211. “Ok! I was really lonely when I first got here too, but big sis Gwen would play with me every day. And whenever I get sad, big sis Gwen’s always there to help me feel better!” Gloria gave Galen a big, beaming smile, which he returned wholeheartedly.
  212.
  213. “As you can see, each of us would give anything to help Gwen. So you better watch what you say!” Gabi stated in a stern tone. Dumbstruck, Galen could only stare at the goblins in awe. He tried to respond, but was interrupted by Gwen entering the room. She looked roughed up, with a few bruises starting to form here and there. Her clothes were disheveled, with her top looking like its reign of tyranny would soon be over. The goblins quickly rushed to her side in a panic.
  214.
  215. “Geez, stop your fussing! I’m fine!”
  216.
  217. “No you’re not! Just look at you!” Gabi practically yelled.
  218.
  219. “Does it hurt? Does it?” asked a very worried Gloria.
  220.
  221. “Like, just hold on. I totally have something that can help you!” Glenda exclaimed as she began to dig through her bag for anything that could help her friend.
  222.
  223. “Just give the word and I’ll use every ounce of my power to avenge you,” muttered Gemma in a rather dark, threatening tone.
  224.
  225. “I thought I told you gals to calm down a bit! Sheesh! So anyway, you doing ok there guy?” The goblins turned their attention to Galen, who silently nodded that he was doing ok. “Great! So I managed to get rid of the pests, but we’re not out of the woods yet. I need you girls to go stand guard outside. I’ll try to figure out what we should do next.”
  226. Gabi raised her hand before asking, “Can I help?”
  227.
  228. With a sigh, Gwen looks to Gabi and says, “Honestly Gabi, I think you’d do better keeping watch. I can do this myself.” Gabi deflates visibly before slowly trudging out of the room with the rest of the goblins in tow. With the goblins gone, the room fell into an uncomfortable silence. Galen looked at his kidnapper, thinking over the stories he heard from the other goblins.
  229.
  230. “Hey”
  231.
  232. Gwen turned to face Galen before answering with an uninterested, “Hey.”
  233.
  234. “So… How badly do you want to get adopted?”
  235.
  236. “What do you mean by that?”
  237.
  238. “Well, I was just thinking…” Galen shifted uncomfortably in his chair before continuing, “It seemed to me that you all got along well enough that maybe getting adopted shouldn’t be as important as you’re making it out to be…”
  239.
  240. “What? You mean like we’re already like a family, why would we want to try to get adopted?” Galen nodded in response, to which Gwen responded with a frown. “I get where you’re coming from guy, but it’s not like that. We might act like sisters, but we aren’t. If someone came in today, they might adopt one or two of us, but not all five. Eventually we’ll have to say goodbye. The sooner it happens, the sooner everyone can get over it. And it’s not like it’s going to goodbye forever. We can always visit each other, or call each other or even chat on the computer!”
  241.
  242. “It sounds like you put a lot of thought into this.”
  243.
  244. “Of course! I wouldn’t be able to call myself the Red Goblin if I couldn’t at least do that much!”
  245.
  246. “I just don’t think it’s fair for the others.”
  247.
  248. “Oh? Why would you think that?”
  249.
  250. “Well, you put all this effort into bringing them together and they’re all willing to do anything for you, but you’ve just decided on your own that splitting up the group is in everyone’s best interest. I just think that’s being rather selfish on your part.”
  251.
  252. Gwen just stared at him for a moment, before giving a smirk of recognition. “So who’d you lose?”
  253.
  254. “What?”
  255.
  256. “In my experience, people who’ve lost someone important to them are more likely to feel empathy to people who are going through the same situation. So who was it?”
  257.
  258. Galen suddenly found his shoes to be rather interesting and sat staring at them for a few moments. “My parents,” he finally muttered.
  259.
  260. “So the fat guy and the skinny lady aren’t your parents?”
  261.
  262. “No. They’re my aunt and uncle. They thought that if they adopted someone, I might start opening up or something.”
  263.
  264. “Sounds like they really care about you.”
  265.
  266. “They do… But I just wish they’d leave me alone sometimes. Let me deal with this on my own.” Galen looked up to see that Gwen had gotten much, much closer.
  267.
  268. “That’s fine. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to be left alone every once in a while. Even I like to be left alone once in a while, but this isn’t something that you can just ‘deal with’ on your own. You’re hurting, but keeping your pain to yourself all the time isn’t dealing with it. You don’t have to do it all the time, but talking to people about this once in a while can really help. It doesn’t even need to be your aunt and uncle either. You can do it with friends, or… Or…”
  269.
  270. “Or your team?”
  271.
  272. Gwen looked surprised at his response, but her shocked expression was soon replaced by a warm smile. “Yeah. Like my team.”
  273.
  274. Galen couldn’t help but smile as he said, “You’re different than I expected.”
  275.
  276. “Oh yeah? So what were you expecting?”
  277.
  278. “Something different. I bet you could you could get adopted and not have to get separated from the others to do so.”
  279.
  280. “Thanks, but I don’t see that happening. The people who come here want to adopt dragons, liches, manticores and other amazing girls. We’re just goblins. Most people won’t even consider adopting one of us, let alone five. Heck, a hobgoblin like myself is actually pretty rare, but nobody’s ever looked at me twice. We’re just not that special…”
  281.
  282. Galen grabbed her hands, surprising the morose hobgoblin. He held her tight as he said, “But you are special. You’re the leader of G5, the most unbalanced bunch of misfits I’ve ever seen. I offered to help them get adopted in exchange of letting me go, but none of them even considered betraying you. Because they all wanted you to be happy. What you girls have is special, and I’m not going to let you go your separate ways.” Galen let go of Gwen’s hands, got out of his chair and casually walked to the door. It took a moment for Gwen to realise he wasn’t supposed to be able to do that.
  283.
  284. “Wait. How did you? Hey! GET BACK HERE!” Gwen tried to chase after him, but found herself to be tied to a nearby bed. “WHAT’S GOING ON?!?!?!”
  285.
  286. Galen turned around to face the now fit to be tied hobgoblin before answering, “I managed to get my ropes loose sometime during that big chase through the halls, and I tied you up while we were talking. I guess I’ll be seeing you later then. Galen continued his journey to the exit when he heard Gwen give off a blood curdling scream of anger, and the telltale sound of a rope snapping. With a furious Gwen on his heels, he ran into the hallway.
  287.
  288. “Someone grab him! He’s getting away!” The goblins all look towards Galen, confused as to what was going on. Galen took this opportunity to make a flying leap over Gloria before continuing his escape down the hall. Now aware of the situation, the goblins quickly joined Gwen on the hunt of their escaped prisoner. Galen was quite a bit taller than the goblins so it wasn’t difficult for him to get away from them, but the orphanage had other ideas. Its labyrinthine passages were much more difficult to navigate than he first expected, and his pursuers knew their way around the twisting corridors like they were the backs of their hands. They managed to ambush him many times, although he was able to escape. The goblins weren’t the only ones to be chasing him however. While he was running, Galen ran into (figuratively and literally) several other mamono and they too joined in the chase. Soon the orphanage was in an uproar as its residents and employees searched the building to find this man running through the halls, who was naked and covered in either melted chocolate or honey if the rumors were to be believed. Eventually, Galen found what he was looking for. His aunt and uncle were coming out what seemed to be a library while being accompanied to a woman with blue skin and long silvery hair that he didn’t recognize. He ran up to them, but had to catch his breath before he could speak.
  289.
  290. “You ok there Galen?” asked Michael.
  291.
  292. “Yeah, just need to catch my breath. I haven’t run that much for a while.”
  293.
  294. Fubuki walked up to Galen and gave him a quick look over. “No one tried to touch you inappropriately did they? Because if they did, some of them are at that age and they can’t help themselves!”
  295.
  296. “What do you mean by that Miss Fubuki?” asked Emily with an understandable amount of suspicion.
  297.
  298. “W-well… You know… Sometimes when a mamono likes a boy very much...”
  299.
  300. “I’m alright Auntie,” Galen interrupted, “I was just hanging out with a few of the girls who live here.”
  301.
  302. “Oh that’s great! Meet any you think we’d like to take home with us?” Galen was about to respond, but stopped when he heard the telltale sound of a number of goblins running through the halls. He turned around to see all of G5 heading towards them, with Gwen huffing and puffing at the back of the group.
  303.
  304. “F-found you!” cried out a tired, but still rather irate Gwen.
  305.
  306. “That you did,” Galen turned back to his aunt and uncle before continuing, “I think these girls would be a perfect addition to your family. They’re energetic, fun to be around, nice and they get along well together. I have no doubt that you’d love to call them you daughters!” Michael looked from his nephew to his wife, who responded to his gaze with a smile and a nod.
  307.
  308. “Well if you think they’re the ones that we should adopt then we’d be happy to welcome them into our home. If it’s ok with them of course.” Everyone looked to Gwen and the rest of the members of G5, who were noticeably stunned at the sudden events. They looked at each other, not really sure how to react.
  309.
  310. “O-of course! I’d love to!” shouted Gwen, tearing up slightly.
  311.
  312. “Like, I’d totally love to call you mom and pop,” said Glenda as she began to dig through her bag for some tissues.
  313.
  314. “I-if it’s ok with Gwen, then I guess I’m ok with it too,” stated Gabi, trying but failing to look indifferent to the situation.
  315.
  316. “You must be very brave to want to associate with a being such as I,” said Gemma, doing as cool a pose as she could muster.
  317.
  318. “I can come too? It’s ok for me to come too right right right?!?!?!” said Gloria, clearly unable to contain her enthusiasm. Gwen then ran up to Galen and hugged him, with the goblins soon following suit.
  319.
  320. “You big dummy! You should have said that this was what you were going to do!”
  321.
  322. “Would you have believed me if I told you?”
  323.
  324. “Not really. But you’re still a dummy!” said Gwen as she hugged her new cousin a little tighter.
  325.
  326. “Well, now that that’s been settled I’ll need you to come to my office to sign the paperwork,” said Fubuki, interrupting the scene.
  327.
  328. “Alright.” Emily turned to Galen and said, “Galen, could you go and help the girls pack up?”
  329.
  330. “Sure.” All of the goblins let go of Galen, except for Gwen. “Uh Gwen, could you let go?”
  331.
  332. “I would, but there’s a bit of an emergency…”
  333.
  334. “Oh? What is it?”
  335.
  336. “M-my tops completely ripped… If I let go my boobs will fall out…”
  337.
  338. “I thought you mamono didn’t care about stuff like that?”
  339.
  340. “We do we we’re five times bigger than our new moms!”
  341.
  342. “Like, don’t worry Gwen. I totally got you covered,” said Glenda while pulling out a new red tube top.
  343.
  344. “Great! Ok Galen, don’t move too much and we should be able to do this without exposing myself!” Galen wasn’t quite sure how to respond, but the deep blush on his face was a clear indicator of what he was thinking…
  345.
  346. *Some time later*
  347.
  348. “And this is Bun Bun! He’s really good at running!” said Gloria as she enthusiastically showed Galen a plush rabbit. She gently put it in her bag before running off to grab a large plush snake. “This one is called Katy! She gives the best hugs!"
  349.
  350. “O-ok that’s nice,” responded Galen, not entirely sure how an orphan could managed to get such a large and varied number of stuffed toys. “Is that everyone?”
  351.
  352. Gloria gave a quick look around her bed. “Yup!”
  353.
  354. “That’s good. So just let me close this,” he said as he started the desperate struggle of closing Gloria’s bag. Try as he might, Galen couldn’t manage to get it closed without taking out the serpentine Katy, who he hung around his neck. “There, done! So how about you girls? Ready to go yet?” Turning around, he saw the rest of G5 huddled in a circle muttering amongst them. Eventually they broke their circle and stood facing Galen. Gloria grabbed her bag and took her place in the group. “Girls?”
  355.
  356. Gwen, looking much more serious than usual, started, “Galen, in thanks for what you did for us, we of G5 have decided that we would be like to extend to you the honor of joining us.”
  357.
  358. “We discussed this issue quite thoroughly, and we all agree that you’d be a great addition to our illustrious group,” continued Gabi.
  359.
  360. “As our new peer, you will be given the title of Green Goblin,” muttered Gemma.
  361.
  362. “Of course, we’d have to, like, change our name though. But I totally like G6 better than G5 anyway!” said Glenda, finishing the speech.
  363.
  364. “I was the distraction! Were you distracted? Were you?” asked the still energetic Gloria.
  365.
  366. Galen smiled before responding, “Sure. I’m not too excited about getting called the ‘Green Goblin’, but it sounds like fun.”
  367.
  368. “Good,” said Gwen, her serious face breaking into a smile. “Glenda, present him the thing!” On command, Glenda began to rummage through her bag until she pulled out a green piece of fabric. She then approached Galen and gave the fabric to him.
  369.
  370. “Thanks… What is it?” asked Galen, inspecting the fabric closely.
  371.
  372. Gwen puffed up with pride before answering, “That my dear cousin is an official G6 Green Goblin tube top! It’s an indispensable part of the G6 uniform!” She pointed to her own new red tube top, which was already straining to contain her breasts, for emphasis.
  373.
  374. Galen looked at his tube top, unimpressed. “Can I be a member and not wear this?”
  375.
  376. “Sorry, but those are the rules!” said Gwen with a smug smile.
  377.
  378. “I don’t think so…”
  379.
  380. “Just put on the top cousin. It’ll be easier on you if you do,” said Gabi as she pushed up her newly rediscovered glasses.
  381.
  382. “Yeah. Not going to happen.”
  383.
  384. “Like, it’s just a top. We’re all wearing one. Don’t be a total spaz!” pressured Glenda.
  385.
  386. “I’m still not wearing it!”
  387.
  388. “It seems he has chosen the way of pain… Help me hold him down Gloria,” muttered Gemma in a threatening manner.
  389.
  390. “Wait… What are you doing?”
  391.
  392. “Hehehe. Time to strip Cousin Galen~!” giggled Gloria, advancing menacingly.
  393.
  394. “Wh-what do you mean ‘strip’? Hey!?! What are you doing?” asked and increasingly panicked Galen. Not hearing an answer besides creepy giggles, Galen ran out of the room.
  395.
  396. “Ah! He’s getting away!”
  397.
  398. “Like, after him!” And with that, the goblins chased after their new cousin, who might have started regretting his decision.
  399.
  400. End
