  19. [2014-05-14 13:13:10] * Bookwright shakes his head. "The word 'thinking' implies rationality. They're thoroughly insane. Trapped with only their own thoughts for company for centuries."
  20. [2014-05-14 13:17:45] * Golden_Dream looks at the door. "I'm askin' if they're /violent/ insane or jus' kinda creepy insane. And if they're completely trapped... Well. They wouldn't be moving right now." She looks around. "Copycat, Noble, Shatara. Y'all got the best look outside. Is there anywhere nearby we can hole up?"
  21. [2014-05-14 13:19:48] * Bookwright 's face turns paler. "Oh. Of course. Why didn't I think of it earlier...? This town was hit by a megaspell. The statues... they're ghouls."

  23. [2014-05-14 13:21:52] * Bookwright "And undead. Don't forget undead."

  25. [2014-05-14 13:22:32] * Bookwright shrugs. "As for how a group of clearly petrified zebra statues that are actually undead ghouls is able to move...? Well, I'm at a loss. Probably magic."
  26. [2014-05-14 13:22:41] * CopyCat bites her lip at the prospect of going outside. "B-b-but what if they catch us? I don't want to get stoned!"
  27. [2014-05-14 13:24:04] * Get_Lost oh don't worry, it's unlikely tha you'll get stoned... moreover, you are some sort of abomination yourself, i don0t think that radiation would mutate you any further... they can still tear you into pieces, though

  33. [2014-05-14 13:30:06] * Noble_Heart frowns and shakes her head. "It is doubtful that there is anywhere safer than this house. The boards would not move. As though they were stuck in place with magic."
  34. [2014-05-14 13:30:35] <Kkat> 3A loud >thud< echos from one of the southern walls of the dining room. Dust and plaster wash down.
  35. [2014-05-14 13:31:01] * Bookwright starts at the nose. "I don't think it's going to slow them down much."
  36. [2014-05-14 13:31:16] * CopyCat calls out to the knocker: "Who's there?"
  37. [2014-05-14 13:31:22] * Golden_Dream inhales a long breath, then checks the chamber of her Riot Shotgun. She looks at the dresses and pouts. Aw, come on. Why can't there be more love for smalll ponie- AND THEN THE THUDDING HAPPENED. "... We're goin' out through the balcony."
  38. [2014-05-14 13:31:38] <Shatara> "I suppose when they overrun this place, the boards will be the only thing left standing..." He fixes his bayonet to his rifle.
  39. [2014-05-14 13:32:08] * Bookwright "They can't move fast. I could probably slag a few of them with ol' Pew-Pew."
  40. [2014-05-14 13:32:16] * CopyCat looks around. "Is anypony expecting a pizza?"

  42. [2014-05-14 13:32:34] * Get_Lost "i'd like some pizza..."
  43. [2014-05-14 13:32:36] * Bookwright continues, "But this was a whole town full of zebras... I'd run out of ammo long before I got them all."
  44. [2014-05-14 13:33:15] * Get_Lost gathers her robot parts and stashes them away, not best time for that now
  45. [2014-05-14 13:33:28] * Golden_Dream doesn't look impressed by Shatara's decision. "... I don't think you'll do real good with that sticker." She starts heading upstairs. "Shatara, I think they're movin' only on a set pattern. If they moved every time they're not seen, they would've broken into th' place already."
  46. [2014-05-14 13:34:06] * Bookwright suddenly chuckles. "Wouldn't it be funny if they could only move like chess pieces?"
  47. [2014-05-14 13:34:34] * CopyCat follows Golden_Dream upstairs. "Unless they are just trying to deliver pizza~" she insists.
  48. [2014-05-14 13:35:10] * Golden_Dream frowns gravely. "Copycat, folks don't go through walls t' deliver you pizza."
  49. [2014-05-14 13:36:12] * Get_Lost "do you think thwy can climb?" goes upatairs and checks the rooms
  50. [2014-05-14 13:37:15] * Bookwright "Doesn't matter, they'll break the wall down. I suggest we stuff our faces, sorry Golden, and decamp to the upper floors."
  51. [2014-05-14 13:37:33] * Get_Lost considers "if they move point-to-point instead of using the canonical linear movement, height wouldn't mean anything to them..."
  52. [2014-05-14 13:38:11] * Get_Lost "fascinating"
  53. [2014-05-14 13:39:26] * Noble_Heart frowns at the prospect. "It is doubtful that we can fight so many. It might be better to try and reclaim our skywagon and depart as swiftly as possible."
  54. [2014-05-14 13:39:51] * Golden_Dream sighs. "Food ain't too good 'less yer in good company." She waits for the wingyponies to come around to fly her out of there. Once again, her life would be a lot easier with wings.
  55. [2014-05-14 13:40:23] * Noble_Heart moves to help Golden Dream up onto her back and carry her upstairs.
  56. [2014-05-14 13:41:31] * CopyCat pouts. "I was really hoping it would be pizza... ohh, maybe Bookwright is right and they move like chess horsies! Everypony, make sure you are not standing an L shape away from them."
  57. [2014-05-14 13:41:59] * Shatara blinkblinks at CopyCat.
  58. [2014-05-14 13:43:17] * CopyCat blinks. "Oh! And if we get to the other side of the board do we get to be Princesses? How about Double Princesses!"
  59. [2014-05-14 13:43:22] * Bookwright rolls his eyes. "It was just a joke." He makes his way upstairs. Perhaps the balcony doors were more easily unbarred?
  60. [2014-05-14 13:46:40] <Kkat> 3Another loud thud sounds through the first floor. This one came from the boarded up front door.

  62. [2014-05-14 13:47:48] * Get_Lost is already upstairs, checking the upper windows to see if the statues are trying to break inside even from there
  63. [2014-05-14 13:47:51] * Golden_Dream starts ushering folks up. "Joke upstairs, we're leavin'!"
  64. [2014-05-14 13:48:36] * Golden_Dream points at Bookwright. "Make with the thing where you can go through stuff!"
  65. [2014-05-14 13:49:34] <Kkat> 3Even the upper windows and balcony doors are boarded up tight. Someone really wanted to make sure nopony (or zebra) could get into this place.
  66. [2014-05-14 13:49:50] * Bookwright scowls. "It's difficult, and I want to see if there's an easier way first. And besides, we never got the book we came in here for!"
  67. [2014-05-14 13:49:56] * CopyCat is thoroughly ushered and joins Get_Lost upstairs.
  68. [2014-05-14 13:50:12] * Shatara hmms. "There's thuds, not crashes...so they're not in yet, but they're trying..."
  69. [2014-05-14 13:50:39] * Get_Lost you could check the bedroom where i found the nightgown, it had a weird feeling....
  70. [2014-05-14 13:52:45] * Golden_Dream grabs Bookwright by his scarf and points to her pipbuck screen. "Here it is. We're leavin'."
  71. [2014-05-14 13:53:46] * Bookwright nods and begins walking. "Thanks. C'mon, you're the one with the directions, show me the way!"
  72. [2014-05-14 13:54:14] * Get_Lost "so... i heard we need a way out..." takes her pickaxe and goes medieval on the 2nd floor balcony door
  73. [2014-05-14 13:54:16] * CopyCat pushes feebly against the boarded up windows... and quickly gives up. "What room was that, Get_Lost?"
  74. [2014-05-14 13:54:41] * Get_Lost points the room's direction and starts mining the window
  75. [2014-05-14 13:57:12] * CopyCat heads to where Get_Lost was pointing and tries to enter the strange room where Get had found those dresses.
  76. [2014-05-14 13:58:31] * Noble_Heart shakes her head. "I do not believe there is a book worth finding here. But based on what Golden Dream found, it is likely that other places we visit will have information from the books that have already been found."
  77. [2014-05-14 14:06:22] * Golden_Dream makes angry, incredulous, crackling sounds, twitching slightly. What the fuck does "We are in a fucking hurry because these things want to smash us in their rocky hooves" does this keratin-brained chucklenut not understand?! "Get_Lost! Gimme a turn with that!"

  79. [2014-05-14 14:08:15] * Get_Lost "be my guest" gives her pickaxe to kid "i still ask myself why i'm the only one who bought it..."

  81. [2014-05-14 14:09:23] * Golden_Dream goes all train gang on that window. "Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid!"

  83. [2014-05-14 14:10:40] * Bookwright rolls his eyes. "Stand aside, put down your silly tools. I'll open it."
  84. [2014-05-14 14:10:49] <Kkat> 3Get_Lost realizes that CopyCat is standing right in front of the strange room, but she cannot see it. Her gaze slides right off of the door like it's not there.
  85. [2014-05-14 14:11:41] * Bookwright "...Wait. Where did Get Lost and CopyCat go?"
  86. [2014-05-14 14:11:45] * Get_Lost walks near copycat ang gently takes her inside the room "here..."
  87. [2014-05-14 14:12:19] <Kkat> 3The window shatters easily, but the boards covering the other side of it don't want to move.
  88. [2014-05-14 14:13:35] * CopyCat nearly trips on her hooves when Get_Lost unexpectedly pushes her forwards. "Get! What are you doing?! That's a wall!"
  89. [2014-05-14 14:14:58] <Kkat> 3As Get_Lost pushes, CopyCat sees the door because she is forced to see it.
  90. [2014-05-14 14:15:00] * Get_Lost "no, come with me, just close your eyes and follow me"
  91. [2014-05-14 14:15:40] * Bookwright "Shatara? Where did Get Lost and Golden Dream go? I'm not casting this spell until everypony is here, it's rather draining and it doesn't last very long."
  92. [2014-05-14 14:16:16] * Golden_Dream grumbles. "I'm right here, knucklehead! Copycat and Get_Lost went downstairs to get yer fuckin' book!"
  93. [2014-05-14 14:16:34] * CopyCat stumbles inside the room, looking confused. "But there wasn't... what is this place?"
  94. [2014-05-14 14:18:12] * Bookwright blinks. "Oh. OH! I said your name when I meant to say Copycat's... Sorry Golden." He walks off downstairs, shaking his head and muttering to himself about being more cognizant of his speech.
  95. [2014-05-14 14:18:46] * Get_Lost "i have no idea, we better hurry annd get beck though"
  96. [2014-05-14 14:18:59] * Shatara tries to peek through the boards to see if can tell what the weeping zebras are up to
  97. [2014-05-14 14:20:10] * Bookwright clomps downstairs. "Copycat? Get? What's taking so long?"
  98. [2014-05-14 14:20:17] * Golden_Dream grabs Bookwright and takes the pickaxe. "I swear to Celestia, Bookwright, if you get crushed by those zebra ghouls, I won't feel an ounce bad." She pushed him towards the stairs, and then started hacking at the window boards again.
  99. [2014-05-14 14:20:41] <Kkat> 3The room seems... shadowed? But not really any moreso than the rest of the house. Colder, maybe? The walls are covered with very faded wallpaper that was once a deep blue with patterns of flowering ivy. The trim along the floor and ceiling is carved with flowers and hearts. Tattered gauze encircles the goth four-poster bed.
  100. [2014-05-14 14:21:09] * CopyCat nods to Get_Lost. "Sure. We should get back to... to who?"
  101. [2014-05-14 14:21:13] * Noble_Heart frowns and looks up and around at the ceiling for any sign of another way out. "Perhaps it might be easier to simply break down a wall?"
  102. [2014-05-14 14:23:31] <Kkat> 3A dust-covered dresser and an even dustier mirror sit in one corner. There are scattered items on the dresser: photograph in a frame, a jewelry box, a mane-and-tail brush. The room doesn't look like the house's last occupants bothered to pack anything from it when they left.
  103. [2014-05-14 14:25:13] <Kkat> 3> THUD < ... > THUD < ... > THUD <
  104. [2014-05-14 14:25:16] * Bookwright calls out again. "Where are you two? I'm not spending the effort to phase the wall more than once, I want us all to go through at once."
  105. [2014-05-14 14:25:24] <Kkat> 3That last thud was followed by a cracking sound.

  107. [2014-05-14 14:25:40] * Golden_Dream 's efforts intensify. Oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck
  108. [2014-05-14 14:26:37] <Kkat> 3With a lot of hacking, Golden_Dream cracks one of the boards covering the window. Sunlight streams in through the break.
  109. [2014-05-14 14:26:55] * Noble_Heart glances around in search of CopyCat and Get Lost. At this point the disconnection with one another was going to be actively lethal, potentially. Not just mildly complicating.
  110. [2014-05-14 14:27:31] * Golden_Dream starts hacking at the rest of them. She was really starting to hate Bookwright for all this confusion.
  111. [2014-05-14 14:27:37] * Shatara rechecks the strange necromantic shotgun. It seemed it may be getting use soon...
  112. [2014-05-14 14:27:50] * Get_Lost "to the other, coppy..." the mare grabs copy and brings her again on the other side of the door
  113. [2014-05-14 14:28:57] * CopyCat and Get_Lost are suddenly in the upstairs hallway again.
  114. [2014-05-14 14:29:28] * Bookwright hurries up behind CopyCat and Get_Lost.
  115. [2014-05-14 14:29:52] * Get_Lost mehs, they didn't have time to check the room again "so, are we ready to go now?"
  116. [2014-05-14 14:30:30] * Bookwright "Right! We're all here. Let's go. Thanks for busting the window and stuff, Golden Dream, but we need a bigger way out /right now!/"
  117. [2014-05-14 14:31:13] * Bookwright doesn't wast any time focusing his energies. Instead, a big blob of goldenrod energy spatters on the wall next to the window, and the wall begins to glow."
  118. [2014-05-14 14:31:25] * Bookwright "Go! Through! Now!"
  119. [2014-05-14 14:32:11] * CopyCat looks at the others as if seeing them for the first time... then blinks, assuming her usual expression. "Okay Bookwright. Get_Lost, you're with me."
  120. [2014-05-14 14:32:23] * Get_Lost walks through the wall
  121. [2014-05-14 14:32:38] * Golden_Dream tosses the pickaxe to Get_Lost! "We're leavin'!"
  122. [2014-05-14 14:32:53] * Get_Lost gets her pickaxe
  123. [2014-05-14 14:33:04] * Shatara gets out with the others.
  124. [2014-05-14 14:33:19] * Golden_Dream hops on Noble_Heart's back and checks the stairs, shotgun pointed back.
  125. [2014-05-14 14:33:22] * CopyCat grabs Get_Lost and flies with her out the opening.
  126. [2014-05-14 14:33:56] * Noble_Heart spread her wings and made for the exit once Golden Dream was close!
  127. [2014-05-14 14:37:21] * Shatara grabs bookhorse on the way out
  128. [2014-05-14 14:37:49] * Bookwright can strut through his own phase-gate himself, thank you!
  129. [2014-05-14 14:37:56] * Bookwright struts.
  130. [2014-05-14 14:45:13] <Kkat> 3You can hear the loud cracking and splintering sounds as the gargoyles finally breach the house. But by then, you are airborne, swooping out the phased wall and into the humid sky over Mwanzo Mpya.
  131. [2014-05-14 14:46:15] * Bookwright nearly falls and is caught by Shatara. "...Thanks."
  132. [2014-05-14 14:47:01] <Kkat> 3The town was on the periphery of the megaspell attack. Hundreds of zebra statues are just that... but almost a tenth of the population were transformed instead into gargoyles. As the group flies away, they seen the manor surrounded by about three dozen gargoyled zebras.
  133. [2014-05-14 14:47:14] * Get_Lost frowns "in the end we didn't search the mystery room"
  134. [2014-05-14 14:49:06] * CopyCat looks down at the Get_Lost she was carrying around the waist. "What mystery room?"
  135. [2014-05-14 14:49:49] <Kkat> 3Mare-Do-Well suddenly frowns with exasperation. "Hold on! If I can find the room, I can search it. It's not like the stone zebras can hurt me any." After a pause. "Of course, if I find anything, it's not like I can pick it up."
  136. [2014-05-14 14:50:34] * Get_Lost "the one we went in together... you... you don't remember?"then, realization hits her "you... you don't have memories on your own...."
  137. [2014-05-14 14:51:15] * Get_Lost then turns towards dashie "be my guest..." explains her where the room is
  138. [2014-05-14 14:51:39] * Noble_Heart blinks in confusion. "Yes, mystery room?" That wasn't something she was aware of either. She looked down towards the remains. "We should collect the fire wagon and leave as quickly as possible."
  139. [2014-05-14 14:52:03] * Golden_Dream thinks for a moment. "You know, we can probably just kinda loop around. They're chasin' us nonsensically. Yeah, all we'd have t' do is just wait at somewhere a bit away, then just kinda come back really fast when they start getting close." She was happy with that. She was less happy when Get_Lost started making a scary weird amount of sense.
  140. [2014-05-14 14:55:08] <Kkat> 3Mare-Do-Well grouses, "Being dead sucks."
  141. [2014-05-14 14:55:11] * Get_Lost quickly explains to the others about the magic protected room
  142. [2014-05-14 14:55:48] * Golden_Dream lies back a bit. "Bein' alive ain't too great right now, either."
  143. [2014-05-14 14:56:47] * Bookwright gazes back at the gargoyles. "I have never wished more fervently for a really, really big bomb."
  144. [2014-05-14 14:58:01] * Shatara hmmms.
  145. [2014-05-14 15:05:15] * Noble_Heart points out, "You do get to smash robots and fight enemies who can't really hurt you."
  146. [2014-05-14 15:07:33] <Kkat> 3Mare-Do-Well gives Noble_Heart a look that says 'thanks for trying'.
  147. [2014-05-14 15:10:16] * Bookwright "So, um. I guess we should go back to the firewagon? I'm not sure Shatara is enjoying hauling me around..."
  148. [2014-05-14 15:11:41] * CopyCat chuckles. "Aww, but this is stage 1 of our Bookie 'x' Shatara plan!"
  149. [2014-05-14 15:12:05] * Shatara pokerfaces.
  150. [2014-05-14 15:12:33] * Noble_Heart sighs quietly. "All of our stuff is in the wagon as well. It would be best to retrieve it."
  151. [2014-05-14 15:15:32] <Kkat> 3Mare-Do-Well's masked eyes suddenly widen. "There was something in the mystery room that might be important."
  152. [2014-05-14 15:16:07] <Kkat> 3"It was the only part of the place I couldn't search on my own, and I didn't find it anywhere else."
  153. [2014-05-14 15:16:27] <Shatara> "...naturally"
  154. [2014-05-14 15:17:22] * Get_Lost "told you so"
  155. [2014-05-14 15:17:53] * Golden_Dream crooks her eye a bit. "Where's that?"
  156. [2014-05-14 15:18:02] <Shatara> "Well, at least we're not cornered now, and can come up with a plan..."
  157. [2014-05-14 15:18:03] * Bookwright grimaces. "I guess our only choice is to either kill all the gargoyles, which also falls under the heading of 'mercy', or attract them to another part of town for a while. On the plus side, we'll be able to use the hole they knocked in the house."
  158. [2014-05-14 15:18:36] <Kkat> 3Mare-Do-Well offers, "Or, y'know, be really, really fast."
  159. [2014-05-14 15:19:43] * Bookwright "I actually think that weird sonic weapon we got from the crystal empire might be useful against gargoyles... When you get down to it, solid stone is also crystalline in nature, and its armor penetrating nature should help."
  160. [2014-05-14 15:20:21] * Bookwright "Or we could fly overhead and use the big cannon on the firewagon that Shatara salvaged."
  161. [2014-05-14 15:20:31] * CopyCat ponders. "Do you think they could be distracted by an elaborate puppet show? No? I guess we should at least secure the firewagon then."
  162. [2014-05-14 15:21:03] <Kkat> 3Mare-Do-Well nods. "I'm willing to bet magical energy weapons will be a lot more useful against those things than bullets. Shooting rock doesn't seem very effective."
  163. [2014-05-14 15:25:40] * Noble_Heart contemplates that and nods her head. "We could always lift them up high and drop them. Even if they're made of rocks, most rocks won't hold pony shape if dropped from a high altitude..."
  164. [2014-05-14 15:25:49] * Bookwright "I have... a lot of energy weapons. And a fair bit of ammo. Three dozen gargoyles is a lot of gargoyles, but I honestly think that if we have the ability, we really shouldn't leave this place without removing the threat."

It only works at point blank range, but I have a *lot* more ammo for it than we have for the Twilight Cannon."

It has several adjustment knobs, do you think maybe you could tune it to work slightly better against these gargoyles?"

Usually, she'd say something that would trivialize her worries with some sage bog wisdom that she'd pull out of her too-young flank, but she had been feeling quite melancholy recently. Is it because of the added stress, or was that just a teenager thing? She didn't know. What she did know was that she was needed. "What can I do?"
  212. [2014-05-14 16:22:52] * Noble_Heart keeps close watch from near the wagon in the air. She was prepared to teach any gargoyle that dared to get close the errors of angring an alicorn.

Not having these things gave her the strength she has now. On the other hoof, though, she always wanted to beat her brother at a race. "Fuckin' do it." She replied bemusedly.

She looks behind her and just watches her own wings for a little while. Sporadic sharp exhalations escape from her mouth. "Celestia. Oh, Celestia, these are wings." She tries to flap them once. Okay. Okay. Okay. Her face went pale. Okay. "Let's, uh. Let's do it!"

  231. [2014-05-14 16:50:50] * Get_Lost gives the weapon back "i'm afraid i can't heelp, sorry.... this thing seems to be already optimized for its purpose"
  232. [2014-05-14 16:52:31] * Shatara chuckles a little to Golden_Dream. "Welcome to sky!"
  233. [2014-05-14 16:53:07] * Golden_Dream goes red in the cheeks. "Oh. Oh, okay." She still wasn't sure, but she started flapping her wings. Oh. Oh, it's working. Oh holy cow. Oh! Her expression brightened up. Oh this was so cool. "Bookie, you could make a fortune with this spell. Just say y'all can give folks flight for a while and... Wow." She breathlessly mentioned, doing little scissor movements over the fire truck.
  234. [2014-05-14 16:53:18] * Noble_Heart looks down towards GOlden Dream. "They look splended on you."
  235. [2014-05-14 16:53:24] <Kkat> 3Mare-Do-Well appraises Golden_Dream. "Sweet wings!" She adds, "Question is: are you strong enough to carry Get_Lost and still be fast? I think we can do that room much faster if we have somepony who can see it."
  236. [2014-05-14 16:53:52] * Bookwright takes it back. "Thank you for checking anyways. Now for a quick spell..." A few moments of meditation and a nimbus of light later, he has wings. "Alright, so the plan is, I'll fly around drawing their attention and blowing them into gravel, while Golden Dream and Get Lost ransack the mystery room?"

  240. [2014-05-14 16:54:45] * Golden_Dream actually rarely gets giddy, she usually sees it as a precursor for things going wrong. But this is working! "Oh. Oh. Oh wow." She looks at Shatara. "Um.How 'bout Shatara takes Get over there?"

  242. [2014-05-14 16:56:33] * Get_Lost "wait,what? i have to go too?" puts away her robot... get, you are a great listener, aren't you? follows the others
  243. [2014-05-14 16:56:50] * Golden_Dream honest to Celestia squees. This was really, really cool! She quite nearly lost herself to the joy of flight before realizing, you know. Flying over a bunch of stone gargoyles begging to take her apart. If they were going to, she actually had no idea what their motivations were.
  244. [2014-05-14 17:00:01] <Kkat> 3Mare-Do-Well seems to get lost in the joy of watching Golden_Dream experience the ultimate coolness that is flight.
  245. [2014-05-14 17:02:25] * Bookwright joins Golden_Dream in midair. "I'm super sorry to break this up, but I don't have enough sonic gun ammo to destroy all these gargoyles. You're better with bombs than me, do you think you can soften them up with the grenade launcher?"

  247. [2014-05-14 17:04:05] * Bookwright points his horn at Get_Lost, and one swirl of colored light later, she's got a beautiful pair of... matte white wings.

  249. [2014-05-14 17:05:35] * Golden_Dream floats down onto the fire truck, smiling brightly at Mare-Do-Well before being brought back to reality. "Oh. Sure." She replied, sobering up considerably with that. She actually didn't really like using these things, but it was important. She outstetched her legs for it, and given a moment, sits down on the firetruck and gets busy given ammo. She's clearly being picky with her shots.

  254. [2014-05-14 17:08:30] * CopyCat flaps up and rests a hoof on Get_Lost's shoulder to stabilize her.

Now, there seems to be about two dozen -- groups of three or four trying to bash their way through the walls. The last dozen must already be inside, having entered through one of several holes torn into the manor.

  269. [2014-05-14 17:38:33] * Golden_Dream raises an eyebrow. "What's with th' military talk?" She asked, starting to lay down some explosives. "Hey, come 'n get 'em, Stripes!" She felt uncomfortable saying that, and it showed.
  270. [2014-05-14 17:43:55] <Kkat> 3Mare-Do-Well smiles at Get_Lost. "Hey. Nice wings! They look good on y..." the ghostly words are drowned out in the first of the grenade explosions! The gargoyles turn, letting out rasping noises that sound like grindstones.
  271. [2014-05-14 17:49:09] * Noble_Heart keeps watch. Prepared to unleash magic! She paused briefly in the air and considered that. "... we really need a proper term for what it means to unleash magical destruction upon your foes..." SHe frowned slightly at the lack of appropriate phrases.
  272. [2014-05-14 17:50:24] * Bookwright rolls his eyes and drops to just a meter above a gargoyle in the group that Golden_Dream just blasted, bringing the sonic weapon to bear on it and unleashing a shriek of sound
  273. [2014-05-14 17:50:57] * Golden_Dream helpfully adds. "Th' term is 'Zot'!"
  274. [2014-05-14 17:54:03] * Bookwright keeps firing, and after two more shots the first gargoyle he's selected crumbles into gravel.
  275. [2014-05-14 17:57:24] <Kkat> 3The zebra gargoyles fall under the explosive and sonic onslaught.
  276. [2014-05-14 17:59:21] <Kkat> 3The scream of the sonic weapon draws more gargoyles from inside the manor. At each of the three holes torn into the walls of the house, stone zebras appear, letting out that grindstone scream.
  277. [2014-05-14 18:00:06] <Kkat> 3The moment the gargoyles lumber outside, Mare-Do-Well turns to Get_Lost and Golden_Dream. "ReadySetGo!"
