  1. Yaki Ramen

  3. Ingredients:

  5. - Marutai Bo (straight stick type) ramen (Kyushu flavor) – One package
  6. - Chinese-style barbecued pork – preferred portion
  7. - Bean sprouts (remove the long tip) – Approx. two handfuls
  8. - Thin green onion – Approx. one stalk
  9. - Red pickled ginger – Approx. one large pinch
  10. - Freshly-grated garlic – Approx. one teaspoon

  12. Flavoring:

  14. - Worcestershire sauce – 30ml
  15. - Salt & Pepper – One pinch each
  16. - Cooking oil – 10ml
  17. - Potato shochu (cooking sake also okay) – 20ml
  18. - Cayenne pepper, etc

  21. Recipe:

  23. 1. Chop the pork into small cubes and finely dice the green onion.
  24. 2. Dissolve 1/3 of the soup mix included with the ramen in 30ml of boiling water.
  25. 3. Boil the ramen noodles for approximately 1 minute. When finished, drain the water and rinse the noodles.
  26. 4. Add the oil to a frying pans and heat. Fry the pork with the garlic, salt, and pepper.
  27. 5. Add the noodle, the oil included with them, soup, and shochu to the frying pan and fry under a low flame.
  28. 6. Cook until the liquid has mostly cooked off (it’s OK to burn the noodle if you like!).
  29. 7. Transfer to a plate and garnish with the green onion and pickled ginger (and cayenne pepper, if desired.)
