- Yaki Ramen
- Ingredients:
- - Marutai Bo (straight stick type) ramen (Kyushu flavor) – One package
- - Chinese-style barbecued pork – preferred portion
- - Bean sprouts (remove the long tip) – Approx. two handfuls
- - Thin green onion – Approx. one stalk
- - Red pickled ginger – Approx. one large pinch
- - Freshly-grated garlic – Approx. one teaspoon
- Flavoring:
- - Worcestershire sauce – 30ml
- - Salt & Pepper – One pinch each
- - Cooking oil – 10ml
- - Potato shochu (cooking sake also okay) – 20ml
- - Cayenne pepper, etc
- Recipe:
- 1. Chop the pork into small cubes and finely dice the green onion.
- 2. Dissolve 1/3 of the soup mix included with the ramen in 30ml of boiling water.
- 3. Boil the ramen noodles for approximately 1 minute. When finished, drain the water and rinse the noodles.
- 4. Add the oil to a frying pans and heat. Fry the pork with the garlic, salt, and pepper.
- 5. Add the noodle, the oil included with them, soup, and shochu to the frying pan and fry under a low flame.
- 6. Cook until the liquid has mostly cooked off (it’s OK to burn the noodle if you like!).
- 7. Transfer to a plate and garnish with the green onion and pickled ginger (and cayenne pepper, if desired.)
