- Hi Allan and Kris,
- I've been listening to Jupiter Broadcasting for 5 years now, and I really enjoy BSD Now and TechSnap! I've been playing around with different linux distros for about as long. But Allan has swayed me to try BSD. I've successfully loaded FreeBSD and OpenBSD on an old, super slow Toshiba laptop circa 2005, but could never get it working on my MacBook Pro. So, I've decided to buy a BSD friendly laptop, and want to make FreeBSD or PC-BSD my daily driver. I've considered System 76 laptops and Lenovo Thinkpads. Can you recommend either? What laptops do you run BSD on? I'm not a gamer so fancy graphics cards aren't a factor, just want something speedy with good battery life, and I can live with a 14" screen.
