- >Things had been rough since leaving the White Fang
- >Food was scarce, supplies were running low, and morale was nearly non-existent
- >He had to do something to turn their fortunes around, but what?
- >"Sir."
- >He turned to see one of the eleven that had joined him
- >"Yes?"
- >"We've been sent a transmission requesting your presence at this location tonight. We don't know who it's from or how it got here."
- >"Let me see it."
- >He looked at the scroll the Faunus handed him
- >Sure enough, there was no way of knowing who sent this, or why
- >Maybe this is what he was looking for though
- >"Tell the Captain's they're in charge. I'll go check this out myself."
- >"Yes sir."
- >The Faunus saluted before going off to inform his three superiors
- >He turned and grabbed his chainsaw before slinging it on his back
- >He looked at the mirror and saw his face the first time in what seemed like an eternity
- >Since defecting from the White Fang, he stopped wearing his mask, but for this, he probably should
- >He grabbed the mask off the counter and turned to leave
- >He found the meeting spot just after the sun went down
- >It was in an alley near the wall where the breach happened
- >Most people had relocated further into Vale, so the area was basically deserted
- >It was the perfect spot for a couple of wanted individuals to meet
- >He stood in the alley and waited for what seemed like forever
- >Thinking he felt a presence, he turned around
- >There she was, standing at the end of the alley
- >What was her name?
- >Neo or something
- >"So, it was you. What do you want?"
- >She smiled at him, tilting her head slightly
- >"... You want me to free Torchwick?"
- >Her eyes, did they just change color?
- >"What's in it for us? We're not with the White Fang anymore, so we don't take orders from you."
- >He thought for a moment
- >It was a tempting offer, enough supplies, food, and cash to last them well over a year
- >"Alright. Fine. You don't have to beg. But. I want half of our payment right away."
- >She grins before shattering
- >He never understood what this girl's deal was
- >Turning to leave, he stopped in his tracks
- >There it was; crates of supplies and food, briefcases of cash
- >Leave it to her
- >He sat crouched on a hill overlooking an SDC refueling station in the Forever Fall Forest
- >With him was his female captains and two other Faunus
- >The other two captains had their own squads on two other hills around the base
- >If their intel was correct, the Atlesian ship carrying Roman Torchwick was scheduled to land here any minute now
- >Sure enough, the sound of the ship soon filled the skies
- >He gave a signal as the transport came into view
- >He looked through a pair of binoculars as the ship begins to land
- >He looks around, then focuses on a door that opens
- >Is that that Schnee bitch?
- >Why was she here?
- >His question was soon answered as Ironwood exits the ship and walks over to her
- >They go inside as workers run about, hooking up fuel lines
- >He gives the signal, and the three groups converge on the station
- >The Faunus sneak through the forest before slowly moving through the station
- >Workers find themselves looking down at blood seeping from their throats before they get dragged back to the forest
- >After a few moments, the Faunus reemerge from the forest, dressed as the SDC workers
- >They move through the station and board the transport
- >Once on board, they quickly move through the hold, one of the Faunus plugging his scroll into a control panel
- >"How long?"
- >"10 seconds."
- >The tension was thick as the group slowly spread out, though staying within earshot of each other
- >"Main hold, cell 3A."
- >He gave a signal and the two other teams made their way to the main hold
- >His squad was staying behind to hold the door
- >He wasn't sure when Ironwood would be back, or if that Schnee would be with him
- >"You look nervous.. Sir.."
- >He smiled softly to the Faunus
- >"Excited is a better word."
- >Oh how he'd love to fight that white bitch again
- >This time, she wouldn't be as lucky to escape him
- >His wish appeared to be granted, as the door to the complex slid open
- >There she was, standing next to Ironwood
- >He takes his chainsaw off his back and looks at his captain then the other two Faunus
- >"Keep Ironwood busy. You protect him. Don't lose connection. We need to keep the ship grounded until they get Torchwick."
- >The Faunus nod as the general and Huntress begin approaching the ship, flanked by a pair of SDC guards
- >Weiss draws her sword, noting a lack of workers refueling the ship
- >"Something wrong?"
- >"The workers are gone. Something's up."
- >She flips backwards just as he lands in front of where she was, his chainsaw tearing into the ground where she just stood
- >"You again!"
- >She starts making a glyph, but he quickly closes the distance and swings his chainsaw at her
- >His quick attack forces her to stop and block it with her sword
- >The two SDC guards raise their weapons only to get quickly put down by the two Faunus
- >One of them hangs back on the ship while the other jump in front of Ironwood, holding a sword between them
- >"You're not going anywhere."
- >Weiss quickly attempts a series of rapid stabs, but he lifts his chainsaw and blocks them easily
- >He slashes his massive blade, sending her rapier aside before he quickly punches her stomach
- >The force of the punch sends her skidding backwards and she loses her balance, falling over
- >He quickly lunges, bringing his chainsaw down where she lay
- >Narrowly rolling to the side, she stands just in time to duck and avoid getting decapitated by the spinning blade
- >She flips backwards, landing softly and makes a glyph before he could react
- >He moves to attack her, but finds himself frozen in place by her semblance
- >She aims her sword at his neck and slides forward using her glyph, aiming to end his life
- >An explosion occurs just in front of Weiss, forcing her to stop her attack
- >Both of them turn to see Roman standing at the ship's exit, holding his cane pointed at her
- >Neo was next to him
- >Now how the hell did she get here?
- >No matter
- >The distraction was enough to free him from her magic, and he moved to bring his chainsaw down on her head when he heard a scream
- >He turned just in time to see his captain get sent into a pile of crates near the refueling station's pump
- >Ironwood was closing in on her, a wicked grin plastered on his face
- >He broke away from his fight and charged him
- >So caught up in his victory, the general didn't anticipate the tackle that sent him to the ground
- >They two landed with a slam, and Ironwood didn't have time to gather himself before a fist came smashing into his face, knocking him out
- >"Well, this is all good and well, but I suggest we get moving before their friends arrive."
- >He turned to the source of the words only to find that Roman was watching him carefully
- >He nodded, giving the hand signal the Faunus had been waiting for
- >The quickly began their retreat into the forest, Roman and Neo with them
- >He quickly moved over to the crates and lifted his captain onto his back, carrying his chainsaw with one hand as he made his escape
- >Weiss quickly went over to Ironwood
- >Thankfully, there would be no chase today
