Scar on the left half of his throat, which he got from a khajiit's claws when he served on a trader's ship.

He has a gust of wind tattoo that goes from the left corner of his mouth to under his eye.
What armaments and gear do you typically carry with you?
A finely crafted, single edge great axe. Sturdy fur armor, sleeveless. Travelling pack, which includes bedroll, two man tent, and other small stuff.
How do you typically dress?
He wears a smathering of clothing that he accumulated on his travels, simple sailor clothing most of the time. Lofty pants, sturdy boots, light tunics.
How much care do you put into your appearance on a normal day? On a special occasion?
He trims his beard regularly and makes sure his hair is not despicable, otherwise he's fairly lax. Special occassions do call for special efforts, braid the hair and comb the beard, cut split ends and cover up the scars.
What is your favorite aspect of your own appearance?
He can't say anything bad about his face, no matter how much he's been bruised and bashed. He's just got that chiseled Nord grace.

What is your social standing like?
Within Skyrim he would not be looked down upon, as seeking heroism is one of the most celebrated undertakings a Nord can do.

His mother, Rindr, is a priestess of Kyne and has more energy than the storms of her god. His father, Ansvir, is a sailor who's as cool headed as the northern winds. He taught Ythain everything he knows about restoration, even if the boy didn't want to read all those tomes.

Harald, Older brother but has already left home and haven't stayed in touch. Might be a hunter out somewhere in the Pale.
Sofia, Older sister. Ran off to marry some thane in the hold that Rindr did not approve of, as he's man ill-loved by the gods and is a bit of a coward.
Katja, Younger sister. Tries to be as much as Rindr as Ythain tried to be like Ansvir, though she's less willing to run off and be a hero.

He held on to his father's teaching as well as he can, both in boating and healing.

He haven't really stuck to anyone to make any friends as of yet, though he wouldn't say no to a drink with Varig and Olof back in Winterhold if he ever comes back. Neither of them can hold a drink, even if they only talk about how much they can do so.

Five years of teaching in the art of restorative magics, though he was young and only learned the basics, and four years of seamanships under his old man.

Boring in the sence that he was forced into books and religion before he knew why should be into it. He did not know why they were sitting out in the wind screaming to the sky, and those books did get really repetetive.

When his father gave his blessings to him to go out and brave dangers. Part because he finally got to be a hero and part because he was finally

He's outright friendly, but with a deeply set growl as your indoor voice you're not easily greeted. If he grows close to someone he'll put a lot of trust in them, though he'd expect them to do the same thing.

He'll argue when he believes it serves a purpose. If the outcome doesn't matter, such as when it's about who looks the best or what tastes the best he'll just conciede the point. Heroism doesn't need a fancy outfit.

Rarely, he's not built for a jarl's seat though he wants to be a great leader. He might not like it, but he knows he's not cut for the work.

He does enjoy the attention, but it's mostly when he's issuing a warcry that people pay attention to him in the manner he wants them too.

He doesn't mind much as long as they're not bothering him about their thoughts. He's got thoughts about other people but he sure as the sun shines he won't bother them for not real reason.

He most certanly do, though he will not force his faith on others but expects them to rever their own gods. Growing up as the son of a priestess usually instills at least some cursory insight into faith, though Nordic religion is more about what your are willing to do instead of what you believe.
