  1. > His breathes were heavy, and he could barely breathe.
  2.
  3. > The air tickled his chin with it's coldness as he stood frozen, and tired from running after stealing a cut slice of watermelon from the local fruit store in Hollow Shades.
  4.
  5. > This wasn't his first time doing such an act, yet this was the closest one he ever got to being caught and beaten by the aggressive stallion owner who ran it.
  6.
  7. > Letting out a few breathes of air, Heartburn tried to calm himself holding the watermelon slice he stole in his dirty plastic bag.
  8.
  9. > "I got dinner for tonight." Heartburn said cheerfully breathing heavy.
  10.
  11. > Putting on a smile Heartburn was happy for another successful job at his ability to continue to survive from stealing.
  12.
  13. > "Steal what you eat, eat what you steal." that was his motto as long as he could remember being on the streets of Hollow Shades.
  14.
  15. > Now all Heartburn needed to do was find a place where he could wash down the watermelon slice he had stolen.
  16.
  17. > Thinking carefully Heartburn remembered passing the wishing fountain in the center of Hollow Shades which held small bits that he would take when in need of some money when nopony was around.
  18.
  19. > Letting out a breathe of air Heartburn then grabbed his bag with the watermelon and took off for the center of Hollow Shades.
  20.
  21. > It was extremely quiet for Heartburn when he reached the center of Hollow Shades and found the wishing fountain. Putting on a smile on his water source and dinner Heartburn dashed to the fountain and sat on the side.
  22.
  23. > "This is going to be good." Heartburn said out loud smiling and laughing pulling out the wet, red watermelon slice from his bag with his small hooves.
  24.
  25. > Just looking at it Heartburns stomach rumbled due to how tempting it was. Licking his lips Heartburn opened his mouth to take a bite of the fruit before he heard the voice of a small filly saying "Hey can I have some of your food?" right next to him that made him pause.
  26.
  27. > Looking from the corner of his eyes Heartburn could see a small winged bat pony with a blush pink & lavender rose mane sit next to him. Just blinking at her Heartburn was confused on how she could have gotten close to him without him detecting her.
  28.
  29. "Uh..." "Pretty please can I have some your fruit?" The filly said to him putting on a smile that made Heartburn blush as that was his first interaction with a filly, a cute filly.
  30.
  31. > Letting out a few "Uhh's.." at first with the filly still smiling at him Heartburn finally caved in saying "Sure.", and breaking the watermelon in half splattering some of it juices on his coat.
  32.
  33. Then handing her the broken in half of the fruit with his hooves the filly simply said "Thank you." to Heartburn before she started yelling out "Sirocca I got some fruit.". Which made Heartburn put on a very questionable look on the mare before he heard the voice of another mare coming from the right side of him saying "Really?".
  34.
  35. > Then looking to his right Heartburn own heart jumped as another mare was next to him without him knowning. She had a dull pink mane, and weird mane style.
  36.
  37. Soon after hearing her friend speak the mare back to the left side said "Yeah let's go split some of it at our spot." before grabbing it with her mouth, and hopping up off the edge of the fountain with her friend and taking off running in the same direction Heartburn came from.
  38.
  39. > Blinking Heartburn simply said "Okay." before focusing his attention back on his remaining half of his stolen watermelon. Now he could eat and drink in absolute peace, and as he was about to take a bite of his food he heard the angry voice of a stallion screaming at him "Hey you little shit!".
  40.
  41. > Pausing completely Heartburn was frozen completely in fear as he knew who the voice of the stallion belonged to. It was the voice of the fruit stallion who he stole a slice of watermelon from.
  42.
  43. > Wanting to move before the stallion could ever get closer to him Heartburn tried to run, but couldn't. It was like his body just locked it's self in place, and then with a great force of impact Heartburn was sent flying a few feet from his spot on the fountain and down on to the dirt ground with a hoof pressing against his face.
  44.
  45. > "No you're suppose to give up chasing me!" Heartburn screamed in pain as he looked from the corner of his eyes at the fruit stallion who eyes were full of absolute hate.
  46.
  47. >"This wasn't like before." Heartburn thought inside his head as the fruit stallion that he stole from would have never begun chasing after him for more than 15 minutes.
  48.
  49. "After all the foods you stole from me. I finally have you!" Heartburn heard the stallion scream at him before he raised up his hoof that was on Heartburns face, and send it back down on his face immediately with a strong force.
  50.
  51. >"Please stop it...I'm sorry." Heartburn screamed with a few tears coming down his face before the fruit shop stallion started to pummel him with his front hooves with a incredible force that definitely should have knocked out Heartburn, but didn't.
  52.
  53. > Crying Heartburn knew this was just the beginning of his beatings as the stallion began to move from his face down to his lower body trampling him there.
  54.
  55. >A full hour soon passed as the stallion that whaled on Heartburn soon stopped with his face still enraged about him stealing his fruit walked off tired of beating the foal. Heartburn was crying, and he knew he had just received one of the worst beatings in his life for his own actions of theft.
  56.
  57. >Taking a gulp and still crying from his beating Heartburn started to crawl up into a ball to try and fall asleep.
  58.
  59. >The only thing Heartburn could be glad for today was that he wasn't beaten to death for his own actions, and meeting that cute filly and her friend who had asked for some of his stolen watermelon which put a smile on his face as he drifted asleep.
