- 5:05 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): Hey Hatz?
- 5:05 PM - Hatzun: hmmm?
- 5:05 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): I have a pretty odd series of questions for you
- 5:06 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): If you're willing to try and answer ;w;
- 5:06 PM - Hatzun: oh? owo
- 5:06 PM - Hatzun: Sure, shoot
- 5:07 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): My feral roleplayers on furcadia would like to know how long it takes for a large dog/cat to heal from things such as broken bokes/ribs/puncture wounds/cuts/gashes/ what have ya
- 5:07 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): bokes... bones*
- 5:08 PM - Hatzun: oh
- 5:08 PM - Hatzun: depends on the broken bone, really
- 5:08 PM - Hatzun: And the type of fracture
- 5:09 PM - Hatzun: A splintering may take a few weeks (3)
- 5:09 PM - Hatzun: while a fractured one may never heal completely at all
- 5:09 PM - Hatzun: but for the animal to be active again i'd say around 3-4 months if it's a complete fracture
- 5:10 PM - Hatzun: Naturally it won't settle correctly and it'll have breathing issues
- 5:10 PM - Hatzun: unless tended by a vet with a type of correction surgery
- 5:11 PM - Hatzun: they need to be treated, really
- 5:11 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): (Thank you so much for this >u>)
- 5:11 PM - Hatzun: propperly disinfected lacerations may take up to a couple of weeks to trully heal owo!
- 5:11 PM - Hatzun: properly*
- 5:11 PM - Hatzun: Oki ^w^
- 5:12 PM - Hatzun: Oh and if you mean weapons that's a whole other horse ewe
- 5:12 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): Weapons?
- 5:12 PM - Hatzun: like, weapon wounds?
- 5:12 PM - Hatzun: swords, knives, guns, that kinda stuff?
- 5:12 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): I don't think weapon wounds aren't needed xD
- 5:12 PM - Hatzun: oh, oki owo
- 5:13 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): Human interactions are very minimal in it
- 5:13 PM - Hatzun: Just remember the golden rule, wounds have to either be cleaned and disinfected or it could get bad
- 5:13 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): They also would like to know info on eye injuries owo
- 5:13 PM - Hatzun: hence why dog slobber is antiseptic
- 5:13 PM - Hatzun: to a degree
- 5:14 PM - Hatzun: Eyes are fickle things
- 5:14 PM - Hatzun: what type of wound?
- 5:14 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): Gash over the eye?
- 5:14 PM - Hatzun: eyelid?
- 5:15 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): I know afew who have had them completely ripped from the socket, or gashed
- 5:15 PM - Hatzun: that's the real question
- 5:15 PM - Hatzun: is the eye itself injured or the eyelid? owo
- 5:15 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): The eye itself
- 5:16 PM - Hatzun: Ok
- 5:16 PM - Hatzun: Second question, how deep was the cut/ how hard was the impact?
- 5:17 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): Enough to make them blind?
- 5:17 PM - Hatzun: Ooooh that's nasty deep ewe
- 5:17 PM - Hatzun: Completely blind would have to reach the ocular nerve, AKA also a brow fracture
- 5:18 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): How long would they have to clean at it to keep it form getting infected?
- 5:18 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): (I'm so sorry for these weird questions)
- 5:19 PM - Hatzun: it's not about how deep, but rather how well/far they are willing to go
- 5:19 PM - Hatzun: there is a 50/50 chance of an eye injury getting infected
- 5:20 PM - Hatzun: if they are lucky enough that the cut didn't remain exposed it could heal by itself
- 5:20 PM - Hatzun: The eye really is just a ball of gel ewe
- 5:21 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): Delicious
- 5:21 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): xD
- 5:21 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): -licks his eye- :D
- 5:21 PM - Hatzun: And they'd have to either clean it by running water or have someone else help them out
- 5:21 PM - Hatzun: which.....yeah would involve just that
- 5:21 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): Lol
- 5:21 PM - Hatzun: *doesn't even react as she licks his synthetic one >:3*
- 5:22 PM - Hatzun: I love these questions btw, don't worry
- 5:22 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): Tastes... manmade >w>
- 5:22 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): Lol I'm sure everyone there will appreciate all this info
- 5:22 PM - Kientrae (Gaeldriel): It's VERY difficult to find info online about it
