- There were once three brothers.
- All three were princes.
- Their father and their king, a man who could walk forged them to keep the world from becoming unbalanced.
- He made the strongest from lightning and steel. Immoran, the Punisher.
- He made the tallest from vines and bones. Gotyr, the Reaper.
- He made the smartest from oil and pearls. Quilon, the Dreamer.
- They kept the world safe, but through dark means.
- Immoran killed and destroyed, keeping the people from consuming too much.
- Gotyr took and horded, keeping the souls from escaping.
- Quilon stole dreams and minds, keeping forbidden knowledge forbidden.
- Then the hollow ones came.
- They consumed too much, turning the realm to dust.
- They took and horded, taking the souls for themselves.
- They broke the mind, speaking in soundless words.
- The king saw this all. He tried to bring other kingdoms and other empires to help his world.
- But it was all no use.
- Then three broken ones came and with that, the kingdom was gone.
- The princes found the king dying, as the broken ones ended it all.
- The king took pity on his princes, and split his soul in three.
- He gave the Punisher salvation, and sent him to the realm of heroes and gods.
- He gave the Reaper mercy, and sent him to the realm of the silver moon.
- He gave the Dreamer ideas, and sent him to the realm of the ten.
- But the father worried for his sons, and sealed them away in prisons of steel, bones, and pearls.
- He knew the realms would need them one day.
- And the father and the king both shed a tear, as the hollow ones took the world for themselves.
