  2. Bright white light suddenly flashes, nearly blinding sleeping pony's eyes as a loud cracking sound of... a loudspeaker? Yes, seems like a loudspeaker booms with a somewhat distantly familiar voice with a splice of a Slavic accent
  3.
  4. *pshk* "Rise and shine, subject Nate~! "*pshhhhk*
  5.
  6. * Nate wakes up slowly "Ugh, morning jigsaw"
  7.
  8. As marshmallow pony's eyes open up he finds himself lying on a hay straw bed in the middle of a blank looking, cubical room with white polished walls. The grates that cover loudspeaker is the only distinctly visible part on the far wall. The room lack any visible doors or entrances and seems to be utterly sealed. The loudspeaker booms once again, cracking and distorting someone's voice in uncomfortable manner
  9.
  10. *pshk* "Slept well?" *pshk*
  11.
  12. * Nate sits up
  13. <Nate> "Like a log"
  14.
  15. The voice waits for some time in silence with loudspeaker cutting off the sound of interference... wait, is it you or you can notice some faint rustling in the room...?
  16.
  17. <Nate> "Anything new today?"
  18. <Nate> "Am I going to have to cut open a guy for a key?"
  19.
  20. The loudspeaker doesn't answers... only the white noise like rustling somewhere in the room, or rather around you, you can't really tell. Perhaps from the silent voice-distorting loudspeaker?
  21.
  22. * Nate smiles "come on, don't leave me clueless here"
  23.
  24. *pshhhhhhhk* "Good to hear, very good. Do you remember how you've got here, Mr. Nate?" *pshhk*
  25.
  26. <Nate> "I remember getting hit over the head"
  27.
  28. The loudspeaker stays silent with that quiet background white noise becoming a teensy bit louder, sounding as if it's coming from everywhere around the pony, even though the room's completely empty.
  29.
  30. *pshhk* "Good, well, err... do you remember where you were prior this?" *pshk*
  31.
  32. * Nate gets tired of the questions and looks around the room
  33. <Nate> !roll d20 perception
  34. <GameServ> 12 == 12
  35.
  36. The room looks blank and empty, the walls around the pony looking pristine clear an white. The haystack-like bed under you is the only messy thing in a relatively small, 8x8x8 chamber. You try to look for out of the ordinary details, but the only unusual thing in the room that stand out are grates from where loudspeaker's voice comes out... and the quiet white noise that pulses in your ears.
  37.
  38. *pshk* "Mr. Nate, where were you prior your little accident happened?" *pshk* a different, slightly deeper masculine voice asks.
  39.
  40. <Nate> "Do me a favor sun of Sam and please turn off the white noise, it gives me a headache"
  41.
  42. The voice silences up for a good half of a minute. The background white noise somewhat quiets down just by a little degree, returning back to the past level. The loudspeaker cracks as the original Slavic voice returns
  43.
  44. *pshk* "Answer the question, Nate." *pshk*
  45.
  46. However as the white noise becomes quieter, you can notice that the white pristine look of walls becomes somewhat dirtier.
  47.
  48. <Nate> "Thank you, I recall being in my home."
  49. * Nate sees this and puts two and two together
  50. * Nate looks around for something to throw
  51.
  52. *pshk* "What happened just prior this... accident happened?" *pshk*, the voice questions him as the pony looks around the room -again-. Except for slightly dirty looking walls, the room remains the same with only haystack bed lying under the pony and the grates covering loudspeaker near the ceiling.
  53.
  54. * Nate goes to the grate
  55.
  56. *pshk* "Mr. Nate?" *pshk*
  57.
  58. The pony approaches the wall with the grate, but it is located in the corner up near the ceiling, far above your size.
  59.
  60. <Nate> "Just a second please"
  61.
  62. * Nate grabs the hay bed
  63. * Nate tests the weight
  64.
  65. You grab the already messy bed, more straws of hay spilling out on the floor. The hay bed weights as an ordinary hay bed - several small, but tough wooden frames with a squishy and light stuffing in the middle of it. There's nothing unusual about it. The quiet white noise continues to pulse in pony's eardrums
  66.
  67. * Nate breaks off a piece of the wood
  68.

  71.
  72. <Nate> "Please turn down the white noise, I can't think straight"
  73.
  74. *pshk* "We've asked you a question - answer it." *pshk*
  75.
  76. Your hooves try to smash the wooden structure, but are only able to chip off a small bit out of it.
  77.
  78. <Nate> "I was cooking for orange and lamon"
  79. * Nate tries again, rolling for himself this time
  80. <Nate> !roll d20
  81. <GameServ> 12 == 12
  82.
  83. Your hoof strikes the frame once again, producing another small chip out of it... The wood seems unusually sturdy.
  84.
  85. ...////.//.
  86.
  87. The moment the small wooden chip cracked off the frame you could've sworn that a quiet chittering if not buzzing sound appeared through white noise's pulses before vanishing.
  88.
  89. *pshk* "I see." *pshk*
  90.
  91. * Nate hits it again
  92. <Nate> !roll d20
  93. <GameServ> 9 == 9
  94. * Nate will keep trying so should he keep rolling?
  95. * Nate gets tired of hitting it and decides to take a chance
  96.
  97. The wood bends slightly
  98. *pshk* "Truth be told, Mr. Nate, your case was... quite interesting, really..." *pshk*
  99.
  100. * Nate remembers his wooden leg
  101. <Nate> "Case? I'm not a loony nor a criminal"
  102.
  103. *pshk* "Oh no no, not that... surviving such a blood loss was... fascinating to spectate from pony biology's perspective, you know? You can thank Mr. Lamon for your, um... recovery." *pshk*
  104.
  105. <Nate> "Lamon...what the hell did you do?"
  106. * Nate attacks the bed again
  107. <Nate> !roll d20
  108. <GameServ> 13 == 13
  109.
  110. Your hoof strikes the bed once more, cracking the wood a bit.
  111. *pshk* "Oh, Lamon's not here, no... not at all. The guards are currently, hmm... preoccupied with suspect, so to say." *pshk*
  112.
  113. <Nate> "Also, fuck you hospik"
  114. * Nate hits it again
  115. <Nate> !roll d20
  116. <GameServ> 16 == 16
  117.
  118. The wooden frame cracks and splits up in one place, though entire structure is still well connected together.
  119. The chittering sound reappears the moment bed breaks, .//../..../.... ...////.//. , only to disappear into the sea of white noise
  120. *pshk* "That is to be determined, no worries." *pshk*
  121.
  122. <Nate> "Hospik, you know when I find you, you're dead"
  123.
  124. *pshhhhk* "This is not Hospik.", the same familiar Slavic voice answers with noticeable trace of annoyance in his tone, "What I can say though that as of now, you are save... more or less..." *pshk*
  125.
  126. <Nate> "It's pronounced safe"
  127. * Nate hits another part, trying to break off a good sides piece
  128. <Nate> !roll d20
  129. <GameServ> 14 == 14
  130.
  131. The other part chips a bit
  132. The loudspeaker cracks the sound once again as a different individual booms into the room *pshk* "No shit, Nate! I'm going to deal with your ass personally when y-" *pshk*, the deep feminine voice gets cut off
  133.
  134. <Nate> "Fuck off Mary."
  135.
  136. Moments later the loudspeaker booms once more with original pony speaking *pshk* "At any rate, while you are resting here and all... we're planning to perform several tests if you don't mind... mm?" *pshk*
  137.
  138. * Nate hits again "Do us a favor Mary, and kill yourself"
  139. <Nate> "Oh, and I did cum in the pudding"
  140. * Nate grins

  145. .//. /././//////.//./.. /./////../ //// ....././../!
  146.
  147. The somewhat irritated sounding buzzing sound cracks in Nate's eardrums, the white noise giving away a singular loud pulse. At the pulse the environment around Nate blurs out, bringing forth dizziness on him. As it happens at the moment of Nate's successful strike, the wooden frame cracks, but the sharp end of the chip lodges itself into soft part of Nate's inner hoof, stabbing him and letting the blood spill out.
  148.
  149. * Nate chuckles despite the pain
  150. * Nate takes off his wooden leg
  151.
  152. *pshk* "I'm going t-", the feminine voice gets cut by off by Slavic-sounding male, "Shh, it's alright, no problem." His words come from the distance, as if he was a bit farther away from the microphone. The loudspeaker continues to distort the white noise without familiar cut off.
  153.
  154. <Nate> "Oh this will be fun snow"
  155. * Nate sits down next to the bed and strikes it with his wooden leg
  156. <Nate> !roll d20

  158.
  159. The wooden peg strikes the bed, but glances against it. The voice coughs as the feminine one chuckles in a muffled manner on the background, "At any rate, Mr. Nate... the experiment will begin shortly... 23-" *pshk*
  160.
  161. <Nate> "Come on, just call me Nate"
  162.
  163. The loudspeaker is silent... the white noise lingers around the room that becomes slightly less blurry.
  164.
  165. <Nate> "Let me guess, two or three of you. Mary, Snow, possibly Foxtrot... no she's not as much of a bitch..."
  166. <Nate> "Redlight?"
  167. <Nate> "Or maybe... Liven"
  168.
  169. <Able_Tome> Walls slowly begin to lose their colors, *pshk* "Oh we've met once in the inn, Mr. Nate... delicious cabbage rolls those were... though I don't personally approve those 'spices'..." *pshk*
  170.
  171. <Nate> "The spices were fine, I only came In the pudding and Mary's food"
  172.
  173. *pshk* "Then I'd stuff it down your fuc-" *pshk*, the deep feminine voice vanishes

  182. *pshk* "... and she's not in particular, hm... likes what you're doing down there at the moment." *pshk*
  183.
  184. * Nate_ grabs a chunk of wood
  185. * Nate_ looks at the grate "hey mary"
  186. <Nate_> "hope you enjoyed the 'milk' "
  187. * Nate_ takes aim and throws the wood at the grate

  190.
  191. Walls began to darken more and more, dirty stains growing over them like moss, white colored paint peeling off into dust and falling down to the floor... Somewhat putrid smelling aroma starts to fill up the chamber. Meanwhile the wooden chunk flies up through the air, but doesn't even makes half the way through to its destination, clanking against the floor as it lands.
  192.
  193. * Nate_ doesn't give a shit about the smell, he had three dogs
  194. * Nate_ grabs it again and throws

  198. .//../...//.././.. .././//./. ./ /./......//.//.. - faint chittering pauses... the previously stone looking walls and the paint peels off even more, revealing rotten wood underneath, several more flakes descending down
  199. Nate's chunk flies a little bit higher... but nothing...
  200.
  201. * Nate_ goes again
  202. <Nate_> !roll d20 one of these will hit
  203. <GameServ> 14 == 14
  204.
  205. <Nate_> "Also, you should really get a maid"
  206.
  207. *pshk* "Prepare for first one...." *pshk* the loudspeaker says as the wooden piece clangs against the protective grate. Suddenly, the wall the was holding the grate and the speaker behind it gives out a loud loud crack... and starts to collapse back, the smell of rot becoming unbearable.
  208.
  209. * Nate_ shrugs, still not bothered
  210.
  211. When the wall caves out and collapses, the other side reveals... a dark, moon-lit forest?
  212.
  213. The wall lies still on the ground. Fresh wind breezes into the chamber that continues to crumble, tickling Nate's mane.
  214.
  215. * Nate_ ponders "When did the town get the money for this anyway?"
  216.
  217. The white noise slowly subsides... but still traces here and there from time to time, mixing with the nightly wind. Everything is still and silent. Trees outside the cube-like room rustle quietly against said breeze which clears out a bit of smell.
  218.
  219. Do you step out into the forest?
  220.
  221. * Nate_ grabs a blanket from the bed if there is one
  222. * Nate_ pokes his head out
  223. * Nate_ looks around
  224.
  225. The large rotten cube of a room stands still in the peaceful midnight forest, situated in the middle of the clearing... The forest around pony is composed mostly out of evergreens even though weather seems to be quite warm... one could even confuse it with a summer night.
  226.
  227. * Nate_ takes a deep breath of fresh air
  228. * Nate_ steps out
  229.
  230. The fresh warm air around you immediately fills your lungs, clearing them out from the putrid rot of the chamber that cracks behind you... the moment your body exits out it implodes into itself, causing quite a ruckus to echo and disturb night's peace with spine-shuddering noise of breaking wood. The rumbling sound of a collapsing house-like structure echoes and echoes and.... all goes to previous nature mediated silence... peaceful and nocturnal.
  231.
  232. * Nate_ sees this and shrugs
  233. * Nate_ travels onward "allons-y!"
  234.
  235. Nate's voice echoes between towering trees as Nate's hooves begin to trot, leaving derelict irreparable construction behind. The pony travels through thick forest clad path with only full moon above him illuminating the winding and narrow way.
  236.
  237. "Hoot-hoot!", the distant sound of nocturnal hunter breaks the peaceful ambiance.
  238.
  239. * Nate_ stops and grins
  240.
  241. "Hoot hoot!"
  242.
  243. * Nate_ readies his pimp slappin hoof
  244.
  245. Wings flap above pony's head as the owl flies through dark air, disappearing into tree's shrubbery.
  246. // /.../.. .//.. ...///./ ..//, slight chitter whispers into Nate's ear... less agitated and more peaceful sounding than before.
  247.
  248. * Nate_ yells "YO FAGGOT"
  249.
  250. "YO FAGGOT-Yo FAggoot -yo faggoot- faggoot- goot- oot- ot....", the pony's echo replies back to him, sounding a little bit more prolonged than usual for the forest...
  251.

  255. ... with only a powerful gust of sudden wind slapping pony's neck and sending his mane into a waving dance until it subsides. As the wind disappears, however, something shudders in the nearby bushes.
  256.
  257. <Nate_> "ALLONS-Y!"
  258.
  259. "ALLONS-Y-ALlons-y- allons-y- llons-y -ons-y ns-y- y...", his echoing voice of the night replies back
  260.
  261. * Nate_ snickers
  262.
  263. The bush goes silent... but quietly rustles again, the little thing growing next to the tall evergreen just several feet away from the moonlight illuminated pony
  264.
  265. <Nate_> "what are you? the test?"
  266.
  267. His quiet echo mixes up with cracking sound of wind tickled trees, the bush going quiet once again...

  270. Silence...
  271.
  272. * Nate_ approaches slowly
  273.
  274. The bush remains silent as the pony approaches it, but starts to shiver again for several seconds.
  275. ....../.../../// ../... ../... /..//. as the chittering echo subsides a small rabbit jumps out into the open, wiggling its nose.
  276.
  277. * Nate_ d'awws at the rabbit
  278. * Nate_ kneels down and pats his knee...or haunch...whatever
  279.
  280. The rabbit tilts its eyes up, looking at the looming figure, its white left ear twitching a tad bit. The critter remains silent as pony pats it.
  281.
  282. After several moment the little one jumps a bit closer to pony's foreleg, rubbing its fluffy cheek against his fur
  283.
  284. * Nate_ pets it's head
  285.
  286. The bunny chirps happily at patting, looking up at the pony and wiggling its nose even more
  287.
  288. * Nate_ d'awws more at the bunny, picking it up
  289. * Nate_ pets the rabbit's back as he picks it up
  290.
  291. The small one twitches his hind leg as it's lifted up by the stallion, curling into a ball and trying to nestle itself closer to him... even in earth pony's hold.
  292.
  293. * Nate_ sits down near the bush as he pets the rabbit
  294. * Nate_ scratches under it's chin
  295.
  296. The bunny rests comfortably next to the pony, yawing a tad bit. The night's forest around two chirps with ambient calmness, the bunny closing its eyes.
  297.
  298. * Nate_ knows the bunny is the slug OOC but not IC so he sits there with the bunny in his arms, stroking it's back
  299.
  300. The bunny rests peacefully against the stallion
  301.
  302. * Nate_ d'awws still internally at the sight
  303. * Nate_ cradles it in his arms
  304.
  305. Minutes stretch into tenths and more and more, reaching a half hour mark as both the stallion and the sleeping rabbit sit near the bush on the dark path. The forest is still pleasantly peaceful, small fluffy clouds moving across the sky...
  306.
  307. ... everything is serene and pure.
  308.
  309. * Nate_ doesn't fall asleep
  310. * Nate_ knows to enjoy this purity of nature when he sees it
  311.
  312. Minutes stretch forth, turning into hours... The nightly sky doesn't seem to change with occasional owls and other nocturnal birds breaking the silence
  313.
  314. * Nate_ softly pets the sleeping marsupial
  315.
  316. More time passes and the rabbit continues its slumber... your stomach rumbles a tad bit with faint tint of hunger voice itself from distant periphery of your mind
  317.
  318. * Nate_ looks down at the sleeping rabbit, gently rocking him
  319. <Nate_> "hey little buddy, come on, wake up" *nate says softly*
  320.
  321. It continues to sleep peacefully in your forelegs... A faintly distant howl of the wolf travels from somewhere far far away down the barely visible path...
  322.
  323. .//. ././/.//././.
  324.
  325. The small critter's ears straighten up a bit as its eyes open up. Yawing and stretching it legs, the warm thing buries its nose into his fur.
  326.
  327. <Nate_> "hey little buddy..."
  328. * Nate_ pets it a bit more as he talks
  329.
  330. The rabbit chips something out, rolling a bit in his fur
  331.
  332. <Nate_> "are there any berries around here?"
  333.
  334. The small animal looks up at him with quizzical looking eyes
  335.
  336. * Nate_ hears his stomach growl again
  337.
  338. The rabbit tilts its head to the side, maintaining its questioning expression at the pony
  339.
  340. * Nate_ dons a kind smile
  341.
  342. It wiggles its nose a chirps out several times
  343.
  344. <Nate_> "is there anything i could eat around here...?"
  345.
  346. The pointy right ear twitches a bit... The bunny thinks for a moment and nods several times.
  347.
  348. * Nate_ sets it down gently
  349.
  350. The critter hops down on the dirt path, looking between trees
  351.
  352. * Nate_ follows
  353. * Nate_ remembers the wolf howl "hey little buddy"
  354. <Nate_> "come back for a second"
  355.
  356. The rabbit doesn't moves from its spot, but simply looks between several tree and the bush it jumped out of.
  357.
  358. * Nate_ goes to the rabbit
  359.
  360. The rabbit's ear flickers at approaching pony's hoof steps and looks back at him
  361.
  362. * Nate_ reaches the rabbit and pats it on the head
  363.
  364. The rabbit simply reacts with a small wiggling nose, leaning a little closer to the ground at the stroking hoof
  365.
  366. * Nate_ picks the rabbit up and looks between the trees
  367.
  368. Its legs shudder a bit as it is picked up, but otherwise doesn't resists. The dirt path weaves its way between trees into darkness where trees seem to go in a more compact manner, not allowing much moonlight to pass. Small gusts of wind wobble tree tops around pony... bushes, twigs and tall grass cover most of the ground around the path. The full moon herself shines brightly on the sky's ceiling, right above the forest and Nate himself.
  369.
  370. * Nate_ strokes the rabbits back a few times before setting it on his back
  371.
  372. It's body shudders at the chilly wind in the warm air as it chirps, pointing its small paw down the path
  373.
  374. * Nate_ nods and heads down the path
  375.
  376. Both Nate and the small critter move onwards, following the dirty clearing away from derelict room, minutes later entering the more tightly forested area... Grass and bushes start to become increasingly taller with the light around going dimmer, the barely see through darkness condensing into a thicker veil. Minutes later as two trot the bunny pokes its tiny paw against Nate's neck.
  377.
  378. * Nate_ stops and looks at the rabbit
  379.
  380. /......//././.. ///../. ..../....///....
  381.
  382. The barely visible critter points its paw at the path's ground as faint buzzing echo in your ear vanishes.
  383.
  384. * Nate_ looks down
  385.
  386. The way forward seems to be littered with long yet narrow shaped dark granite stone, patches of ground visible between the rubble. The critter... chitters and shake its head in a dismissive manner. Though its paw switches its direction, still pointing forward.
  387.
  388. * Nate_ follows the paw
  389. * Nate_ stops, thinking for a moment
  390. <Nate_> "...what about the path..?"
  391.
  392. The critter switches its direction a tad bit at the path with scarcely littered rubble and chitters with a dismissive shake... yet points in the very same direction that follows same path once more, nodding
  393.
  394. * Nate_ looks down the path with the rubble
  395.
  396. It's the same path you were making way through.... the relatively small stony rubble here and there still lies on the path. The critter continues to point in that direction.
  397.

  403. * Nate_ runs after it
  404. <Nate_> "Wait!"
  405.
  406. /..////./ .../..////..../... ////. /.....//
