  1. Thoughts on MLP: FIM Season 4 episode 5:
  2.
  3. The first episode in the season with a song? Yay(?)
  4.
  5. Cheerilee introduces Mrs. Harshwinney, who talks about the Equestria games. Rainbow Dash flies through the window, talking about the games with excitement and revealing that she is a coach that will help everyone with their routines that determines who will carry the flag of the games. Harshwinney tells Dashie to be more "professional", because she is screaming the whole time.
  6.
  7. After that, the CMC are talking, and Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon bring up the overused "blank flank" mock. Shortly after, the girls impress Dash with their routine, but she says it's ok in an attempt to be professional. DT and SS, impressed by the routine, mock Scootaloo about her useless wings, and she tries to do the routine by flying instead of using her scooter, failing miserably. She keeps trying, and never succeeds, tiring her friends out.
  8.
  9. The next day, they show RD the routine again, except they are tired so it goes badly. Applebloom as Sweetie Belle are fed up with Scootaloo's selfish attitude, so they walk off. Scootaloo tries to fly, and doesn't stop till the next morning. When she meets AB and SB at the train station, she decides not to go because of how she believes that she is a liability.
  10.
  11. The two secondary characters are confronted by RD, who asks where Scoots is. They say that she isn't coming, and blue lesbian convinces them to go back for her.
  12.
  13. The viewers are shown Scootaloo's room, which destroys the "Scootaloo is homeless" headcanon, and not the stupidly popular one about her being an orphan. The others come in the room and convince her to go to the games, and they somehow make it in time, despite the fact that Scootaloo traveled with a scooter.
  14.
  15. They earn the right to carry the flag, and and DT and SS leave, angry.
  16.
  17. And the episode ends with "CUTIE MARKS!"
  18.
  19. The episode was an alright watch. Better than Daring Don't, for sure.
  20.
  21. The song was...ok. I didn't really care for the lyrics, but I'm more interested in the instrumental parts of the song.
  22.
  23. I was glad the CMC didn't give a shit about the "blank flank!" insult, because that crap is really old, just like the usage of the "SO AWESOME!" face used in the previous episode.
  24.
  25. Something I didn't get was the new faces that were used for Harshwinney in the beginning. All of them were new(and unattractive).
  26.
  27. The word "professional" was overused so much that I'd want to professional fuck the only three mares in the episode just to shut them up.
  28.
  29. I found it weird that AB and SB couldn't tell that Scootaloo was sad/tired in the scene at the train station. In real life, it really isn't that hard to tell how a person feels if you actually pay attention to their face.
  30.
  31. Characters were in character, and Rainbow Dash was obnoxious in the beginning. It was probably used for the joke where she tells Harshwinney to act professional, but it was lazy and predictable.
  32.
  33. Speaking of predictability, the ending of the "Scootaloo can fly" arc could only go two ways in this episode, with Scootaloo flying or she doesn't. I'm glad she can't fly because in the show(baby cakes episode), fucking babies in the show can fly, but Scootaloo can't, which makes no sense.
  34.
  35. Also, it was expected that the CMC would win the competition, especially since no one else of interest was part of it.
  36.
  37. Decent episode, definitely a seven out of ten. Or average, for short.
