  5. [21:39] <Gamemaster> Fire Team One, consisting of Stephan, Dorn, Ridian, and Linus are now faced with impending disaster surrounded by enemy crewmen and armoured personnel baying for blood. More of them have arrived behind the closed doors, and the can be heard barking orders from beyond the doors*
  6. [21:39] * ^Stephan^ examines the room for any ventilation shafts and lights
  7. [21:40] <Gamemaster> *Stephan tries to doubleback up the ladder he descended down, to realise that, like the doors, the fire shield has closed shut, preventing access*
  8. [21:41] <^Stephan^> We chould kill the lights
  9. [21:41] <Gamemaster> *The emergency lighting is on, and bright, the halogen glow reflecting the sweat across Linus's face opposite*
  10. [21:41] <^Stephan^> and ambush the enemies
  11. [21:41] <Remus> \He's got fucking Meson Goggles\

  14. [21:46] <Gamemaster> "We need to do something quick, i hear more movement outside this door" says Linus, moving his weapon to cover the entrance.

  16. [21:47] <^Stephan^> Dorn, If you will ot leed, I will!
  17. [21:48] * Jacob_Dorn Deployes a Smoke grenade at the door where the angry waifu shouts are coming from
  18. [21:50] <Jacob_Dorn> Smoke screen and take cover.
  19. [21:50] * ^Stephan^ puls up his sothgun and points it toward the a door fdefferent than Linus
  20. [21:51] * ^Stephan^ takes cover while checking the door
  21. [21:51] * Jacob_Dorn takes a quick glance around the room for any accses terminals
  22. [21:51] <^Stephan^> We should also destroy the light.
  23. [21:52] <Gamemaster> "Should someone inform the other fire team? We are totally surrounded here" says Linus, siddling back to get into greater cover with the others.
  24. [21:52] <Jacob_Dorn> Not right now, we do not want to alert any more to the presence of the others we are a diversion remember.

  26. [21:53] <Jacob_Dorn> That said I doub they will reach us in time.
  27. [21:54] <Gamemaster> "Savashri.. I hope you are right.." he trails off. Even as he begins to speak, you can hear the sound of the fire doors beginning to cycle
  28. [21:55] * ^Stephan^ Brings up his shotgin to immidietly shoot as the doorscycle

  32. [21:58] <Jacob_Dorn> I doubt there will be any enviromental controls at our position but...
  33. [21:59] * Jacob_Dorn clumbers over to the crates doddted about the room and hastely positions them into a makeshit wall
  34. [22:05] * ^Stephan^ shouts Freeborth scum propare for battel
  35. [22:05] <Gamemaster> *With a hiss, the doors are now half open. In front, the crewman and hobbled infantry try to enter first scrambling under the rising wall* To the left and right, you can see two crewmen each scarmbling in. From the closest wall, the cadets cant here or see anyone entering through the fourth door*
  36. [22:05] * ^Stephan^ fires his shotgun
  37. [22:06] <^Stephan^> at the infatry man
  38. [22:08] <Jacob_Dorn> Shoot Potato Shoot!
  39. [22:09] <^Stephan^> I will shoot you for that comment, freeborth.
  40. [22:09] * Jacob_Dorn readys up to hurl one of the crates towards the door
  41. [22:09] <Remus> \gimme halk\
  42. [22:10] <Gamemaster> *The round fired from the shotgun hits home, knocking the infantry man to the floor, and blasting apart his flak armour. He writhes on the floor in agony from the concussive force of the blast*
  43. [22:11] * ^Stephan^ fires another another shot
  44. [22:14] <Gamemaster> *The second round slams into the prone body of the infantrymen, hitting him in the head. A huge hole is blasted out of his combat helment, and with a jerk, he goes unconcious. There is a distinct lack of blood from the wound*
  45. [22:14] <Jacob_Dorn> BOOOM!
  46. [22:18] * Jacob_Dorn dropkicks one of the top crates aimed at the doorway in hopes it will slam into one of teh crewmen
  47. [22:22] <Gamemaster> *Dorn connects with one of the crates, and it sails towards the frontal crewmen, he dodges it, and brings his pistol up ready to fire*
  48. [22:25] <Jacob_Dorn> On the way down he pulls out his Bragnum aiming at the crate evading bastard and lets one round fly
  49. [22:26] <Gamemaster> *The round hits home, connecting with the crewmans chest, he drops to the ground, unmoving*
  50. [22:28] <Gamemaster> *To the left, two crewmen enter and Ridian and Linus open fire but both of them miss their mark, panic firing with their bursts. The crewmen retreat firing wildly, deterred from entering*
  51. [22:28] <Gamemaster> *The remaining two enter, and bring their weapons up and let off several snap shots*
  52. [22:28] <Jacob_Dorn> Woooo WOOOOO!
  53. [22:29] <Gamemaster> *Even as Dorn lets out a warning shot, the rounds slam home into the wall behind them. Stephan riles as a bullet catches him in the upper left arm, grazing out a deep furrow in his flesh.*
  54. [22:32] <Gamemaster> *he manages to hold onto his weapon, his muscles tightening in response to the pain*
  55. [22:32] <Jacob_Dorn> Damn It! Fucking Drac units always ruin Everything!
  56. [22:37] * ^Stephan^ lays down supressive fire forward the door,
  57. [22:40] <Gamemaster> *The men duck back behind the door, the shots going wide. Even as they duck for cover, the other two on the other side jump from the corner to let rip with their weapons.*
  58. [22:41] <Jacob_Dorn> Why dont your make like a banana and Fuck Off!
  59. [22:44] * Jacob_Dorn pokes a small hole in the junk wall and braces himself pokeing the end of his SMG through the hole to try and aim at one of the guys beyond the doorway
  60. [22:46] <Gamemaster> *With a single, well aimed shot, the first crewman drops dead, the round going solidly into his eye socket and exiting out the other side of his head with a dull thud*
  61. [22:48] * Jacob_Dorn aims again at the guy next to the one eyed dead guy but only fires a single round
  62. [22:50] <Gamemaster> *The round also hits home, embedding itself in the crewmans chest. He falls down, slowly, slumped against the wall blood coming up from his mouth. Suddenly, you hear shouting from the other behind corridor. Looking you see one enemy crewmen run into the room, firing one shot behind him in a panicked state*
  63. [22:50] <Gamemaster> *He is soon followed by the limp body of another crewman, a thick, line cut across his neck as he struggles to breathe, clawing at the wound*
  64. [22:51] <Gamemaster> *Dierson enters, holding combat knife high, blood dripping from the blade*
  65. [22:51] <Gamemaster> *With a swift movement, he brings his foot down on the crewmans neck, ending his life*
  66. [22:52] * Dierson_Pyre takes aim at the runner
  67. [22:53] * Dierson_Pyre squeezes a quick burst of smg
  68. [22:55] <Gamemaster> *The rounds go true and enter the crewmens back. He falls to the floor unmoving, and the pistol he was carrying scatter off itno the darkness. You can hear the footsteps of the other crewmen rapidly retreating, amongsts shouts of 'Hayaku! Hayuka!' as they beat a hasty retreat towards what you believe is the engineering section*

  71. [22:56] * Dierson_Pyre heads off after the retreating surat bitches
  72. [22:56] * ^Stephan^ get's up and runsafter the enemy
  73. [22:57] <Jacob_Dorn> How did you get here so fast?
  74. [22:57] <Dierson_Pyre> we are trueborn!
  75. [22:57] * Dierson_Pyre shouts over his shoulder
  76. [22:57] * ^Vane^ steps through the door Pyre came from. Blood drips from his armour.

  78. [22:58] <^Vane^> Oh.
  79. [22:58] * ^Vane^ starts after Dierson.
  80. [22:58] * Remus casually strolls in, shotgun at the hip.
  81. [22:58] <Remus> \man, fuck this day\
  82. [22:59] <Remus> You bunch ready to go, the glorious crusade never ends.
  83. [22:59] <Remus> (That was meant to be a question)
  84. [22:59] * Jacob_Dorn shrugs then cautiously follows after Potato Head
  85. [23:01] * Remus returns the shrug and heads off down the hall, making a remark to himself about eyes.
  86. [23:06] <Gamemaster> *Although running at full speed, Dierson watches the personnel having had a head start disapear from view behind the frontal bulkhead*
  87. [23:06] <Dierson_Pyre> STRAVAGS!!!!
  88. [23:06] <Gamemaster> *The door slams shut behind them: seemingly they are trying to buy themselves some more time
  89. [23:06] * Dierson_Pyre turns behind him and yells
  90. [23:06] <Dierson_Pyre> HURRY UP YOU FREEBIRTH DIRTH BAGS
  91. [23:07] * Dierson_Pyre moves up to the door and begins trying to kick open the door
  92. [23:07] <Gamemaster> *The door initially resists*
  93. [23:08] <Remus> You're not going to get it open that way...
  94. [23:08] * Jacob_Dorn walks up to the door area
  95. [23:08] <Gamemaster> *With a crunch, the door gives in, bending outwards under the force of the blow*
  96. [23:09] * Dierson_Pyre seeing his progess, he screams and kicks harder
  97. [23:09] * ^Vane^ raises an eyebrow.
  98. [23:09] <^Vane^> I was going to offer to cut it.
  99. [23:09] <^Vane^> But..
  100. [23:09] <Jacob_Dorn> Yes.... YES!
  101. [23:09] <Gamemaster> *with a final blow, the door bends entirely outwards and whimpers for its body and future*
  102. [23:10] * Remus sighs and shakes his head, looking over his shotgun again as Dierson rage monsters the door.

  104. [23:10] <Dierson_Pyre> UUUAHAAAABGGGGGHHH
  105. [23:11] <Gamemaster> * even as the doors open, you see it opens into a wider open space. Walkways criss cross a maze of pipes, and you can see the main KF drive, in all its glory, from your left all the way to the opposite wall. It glows dully, and slowly throbs*
  106. [23:11] <Gamemaster> *You see the crewmen disappear from sight, and hear what sound like them replying into their personnel comms units in desperation*
  107. [23:11] <Jacob_Dorn> I think we took a wrong turn.
  108. [23:12] * ^Stephan^ tirns around and witf dor dorn ot catch up
  109. [23:12] <^Stephan^> * turns around and wait for dorn to catch up
  110. [23:12] <Remus> \I smell radiation~ sugoi\
  111. [23:13] * Jacob_Dorn seals his suit if it was not seald already
  112. [23:13] * Dierson_Pyre calmly walks in to veiw the KF drive and watch the fleeing crew
  113. [23:14] <^Stephan^> Dorn. We need to contunie our way toward the comm systems
  114. [23:14] * Remus looks around, examining the maze of pipes and wires, looking for anything out of the ordinary
  115. [23:14] <^Stephan^> quiaff?
  116. [23:17] <Dierson_Pyre> Aff, if you can handle any further crew you happen to cross
  117. [23:17] * ^Stephan^ looks toward his right arm
  118. [23:17] <^Stephan^> interesting
  119. [23:17] * ^Vane^ looks for the passage leading to Claw 2's target.
  120. [23:18] * ^Stephan^ pulls out his medkit to try and deal with the wound. To stop the bleeding.
  121. [23:18] <Jacob_Dorn> Remus, see if you can shut down power to Comm relays, that will ensure that no unwanted transmisions are sent to any listening boogy men.
  122. [23:19] * Remus gives a wry laugh, "Aff, lead."
  123. [23:19] * ^Vane^ strides over to the doors on the other side of the room.
  124. [23:19] * Dierson_Pyre looks at Dorn, then at Remus
  125. [23:19] * Remus frown and stops for a second, taking a second look around after his snark.
  126. [23:19] <^Vane^> If these lead to the stern, I guess they are our exit.
  127. [23:19] <Remus> Hold a moment...
  128. [23:20] <Dierson_Pyre> Remus, first see if you can access the conventional drives and shut them down
  129. [23:20] <Dierson_Pyre> then comms
  130. [23:21] <Remus> No one is guarding here, even with out genocidal rampage...you would think they're protect the K-F Drive.
  131. [23:21] * Dierson_Pyre grunts
  132. [23:21] <Dierson_Pyre> see what you can do, if you can not access anything important here we need to move
  133. [23:21] * Remus goes from console to console, checking for anything out of the ordinary, or anything linked to comms or conventional power, keeping his shotgun ready at the hip.
  134. [23:22] <Dierson_Pyre> Dorn, Stephan, Vane, secure entrances
  135. [23:22] * ^Stephan^ secures his nearest entrance
  136. [23:22] <^Vane^> Aff.
  137. [23:23] * Bjorn___ finds a corner and hunkers down, autorifle at the ready and begins humming a tune
  138. [23:23] * ^Vane^ crouches by the door towards the stern, SMG at the ready.
  139. [23:24] * Dierson_Pyre stands near Remus, waiting...watching the others cover the various entrances
  140. [23:24] * Jacob_Dorn cautiously heads towards one of the doorways in Remus's direction, he pulls out his PDA and fiddles with it a momment showing it to Remus before walking off
  141. [23:25] * ^Stephan^ reloads
  142. [23:28] * Remus stops at one console and nods to Dierson, "Just make certain no one shoots me while I do this, it tends to break concentration."
  143. [23:28] * ^Vane^ pulls down his Ultrasonic Binox and scans through the door.
  144. [23:29] <Dierson_Pyre> Aff, I will keep you alive
  145. [23:29] * Dierson_Pyre goes back to watching the others
  146. [23:29] * Remus starts working away at one console in particular, "I can cut external power from here, but both squads will still have to continue to our objectives to work with any internal overrides and backup power."
  147. [23:30] <Remus> Interestingly, they have not reformatted this yet.
  148. [23:30] <Dierson_Pyre> Aff, perfect...it will buy us time
  149. [23:30] * Remus nods, and starts typing furiously at the console.
  150. [23:30] <Dierson_Pyre> they are of the innersphere, they are incompetent
  151. [23:30] <Remus> I do not believe that is the cause.
  152. [23:30] <Dierson_Pyre> why would they bother with such precautions
  153. [23:30] <Dierson_Pyre> hrm
  154. [23:30] * Dierson_Pyre grunts
  155. [23:31] <Remus> They had already gotten to work on the less important areas, I noticed multiple consoles on the way that were already reformated, I couldn't read them.
  156. [23:31] <Dierson_Pyre> perhaps they in their ill informed arrogance did not deam fleeing the system of importance
  157. [23:32] <Dierson_Pyre> it also indicates that they have no nearby friends to save them
  158. [23:32] <Dierson_Pyre> if the comms have not been tampered with
  159. [23:35] * ^Vane^ flicks up his binox.
  160. [23:36] <^Vane^> Seems clear past here. More piping and rooms as the drive continues on.
  161. [23:36] <Dierson_Pyre> good, can you locate where those crewman fled too?
  162. [23:37] * Remus finishes his work at the console and announces, "External power is cut to communications, and located the engines, they have the manual over-rides engaged, we have to do it from within."
  163. [23:37] * Dierson_Pyre not quite understanding how the binox works
  164. [23:37] <Dierson_Pyre> does anything further need to be done to disable comms?
  165. [23:37] <Dierson_Pyre> otherwise we will all proceed to engines
  166. [23:38] <Remus> THey can't get a message out, but ship comms are still up, I suggest you send at least two to knock out intercomms.

  168. [23:40] <Bjorn___> That sounds like a job oppurtunity
  169. [23:40] <^Vane^> I don't think it has the range to locate them.

  171. [23:42] <^Stephan^> Good. Now that the comunitactions are cut, I recommed that we follow lead Dierson, quaff?

  185. [23:49] * ^Stephan^ steps to Dorn and whispers in his ear: "But noone will find oyur wretche body, Dorn. NO ONE:"
  186. [23:49] * Remus takes point, shotgun at the ready, but not taking a particularly tactical stance.
  187. [23:49] * Jacob_Dorn hooks his PDA into a terminal and tries to download a shipwide deck layout
  188. [23:50] <^Vane^> Alright, it's open, let's go.
  189. [23:50] * Dierson_Pyre raises weapon to covering position
  190. [23:50] <^Stephan^> Who is in command, lead?
  191. [23:50] <Jacob_Dorn> *Smirks* they wont need to.
  192. [23:50] * Dierson_Pyre looks at Stephan...looks at chat....looks at Stephan
  193. [23:51] * Dierson_Pyre turns back to follow Remus and Vane

  195. [23:52] * ^Stephan^ Moves toward a nearby terminal and attempts to access a map of the hip
  196. [23:52] <Gamemaster> *As the caders enter the next room, they can see the KF drive continuing onward. Two sets of pipes run down either side of the following room.. they are marked ine nglish FUEL LINE DANGER OF DEATH and COOLANT DANGER OF DEATH
  197. [23:53] <Gamemaster> like the other room, this one appears mulitier. At the other side of the room, a single, large door looks like it might lead towards the main, final engineering section*
  198. [23:53] <Gamemaster> *there are also 2 doors on each side of the room, very small, looking like maintainance hatchways. A dull blue glow illuminates the whole scene*
  199. [23:55] * ^Vane^ flicks the SUB back down. (UltraSonic Binox)

  201. [23:56] * ^Vane^ advances while scanning the any side rooms and gantries for enemies.
  202. [23:56] * Jacob_Dorn pauses for a moment and grips his SMG slowly and cautiously heading to the far door
  203. [23:57] <Dierson_Pyre> Remus, see if you can get that door open, if that is the way we need to head
  204. [23:57] <Gamemaster> *All the adets begint o hear a dull, thudding noise emanating from the far door*
  205. [23:58] <^Vane^> Do ships make that noise normally?
  206. [23:58] <Dierson_Pyre> ....

  208. [23:59] <Remus> Still want the door open?
  209. [23:59] * ^Vane^ advances on the door, looking through it.

  214. [23:59] * Jacob_Dorn moves to the side of the door then opens it
  215. [00:00] <Gamemaster> *Even as Jacob Dorn opens the door, a dark towering shadow falls across the central walkway*
  216. [00:01] <Gamemaster> *A large, hulking shape is moving down the corridor, mechanical servos whirring as something advances*
  217. [00:01] <Jacob_Dorn> Oh fuck.
  218. [00:03] <Gamemaster> *You see the large, bulking form of an exoskeletal battle armour, its armour shining under the bright lights of the engine bay behind it*
  219. [00:03] <Gamemaster> *Mounted in its left arm is a large, squad support weapon, seemingly belt fed*
  220. [00:03] <Gamemaster> *Cracks and dirt run along it, and an insignia looks like it was scrubbed off hurridly*
  221. [00:03] <Remus> OOOOH SHIT!
  222. [00:04] <Gamemaster> *The faceplate is only half attached, the eyes of the wear staring back at you, the mouthpiece covering the lover half of his face*
  223. [00:05] <Remus> \Omae wa mo, shindeiru
  224. [00:05] <Remus> \Just sayin' he is a drac\
  225. [00:06] <Jacob_Dorn> Sooooo how good are you truborns at killing Elementals?
  226. [00:06] * ^Vane^ pulls out a smoke grenade and tosses it into the corridor.
  227. [00:08] * Dierson_Pyre eyes wide, takes aim at the figures head and fires a 10 rnd burst
  228. [00:09] <Gamemaster> *Without seemingly breaking a stride, the autocannon of the battle armoured soldier roars out a full automatic burst*
  229. [00:10] <Jacob_Dorn> Wer sind Sie!
  230. [00:10] * ^Stephan^ ducks for cover
  231. [00:11] <Jacob_Dorn> Achte Lyran Regular?!
  232. [00:17] <Gamemaster> *The sweeping fire sweeps across the corridor, but most of the shots go wide. One of the rounds slams home into biorns chest, cracking the armour in a great flurry of bent ceramite. He goes down, to the ground, dropping his autorifle, blood pouring from a wound to the abdomen.*
  233. [00:19] <^Vane^> **Lead, throwing smoke, I'll see if I can blindside it and use my torch on the weapon. Try not to misfire to the right**
  234. [00:21] * ^Vane^ readies his torch to the side of the door, letting the smoke engulf him, still wearing his USB.
  235. [00:21] <Dierson_Pyre> AFF!
  236. [00:21] <Dierson_Pyre> DRAW HIS FIRE!
  237. [00:23] <Gamemaster> *The ten rounds miss the mark, but hit the upper torso. The BA brings up its left arm to cover its face as it advances, readying for another burst*
  238. [00:24] <Gamemaster> *The bullets lodge in its armour, inefectual at piercing it*
  239. [00:29] * ^Stephan^ pulls out his gauss pistol and aims at the battle armor
  240. [00:35] * Bjorn___ rolls over, coughing sporadically and crawls for the nearest solid cover.
  241. [00:40] <Bjorn___> *Getting myself behind a pipe structure he pulls a medipatch and applies it, managing to stem the bleeding but is forced to leave the bullet in the wound.
  242. [00:51] * Remus slings his shotgun and gets a running start to leap off the walkway! Getting a grip on higher secondary walkway, he clambers up and out of the way of the autocannon's fire.
  243. [00:51] <Gamemaster> *Advancing to the doorway, the BA lets off another round of fire
  244. [00:52] <Gamemaster> *over the din of the sound, the roar of the machinegun, is barely audible the rabid scream of the wearer8
  245. [00:53] * Jacob_Dorn continues to wait by the side of the doorway
  246. [00:54] <Gamemaster> *The barrage of fire goes wide, and the remaining cadets automatically jump for cover*
  247. [00:56] * ^Vane^ slides through the smoke and under the gun, and puts his torch to the loading mechanism at full power.
  248. [01:00] <Gamemaster> *Vane advancing quickly into the smoke, activates the welder at close range to the loading mechanism using his goggles to see through the smoke. The plasma torch goes off, rending a massive hold in the mechanism. The BA responds immediately, atteming to grab vane with its power claw. But in the smoke, it is unable to get a grip as vane dodges its attempt*

[01:28] * Remus finishes his charge along the upper way, clearing through the smoke drifting upward. grabbing the rail and vaulting down, he drops into position into the cloud of smoke, landing on the side of the walkway, crammed just behind the battle armor, jamming his shotgun into the side of it's collar, he let's go a round directly into the BA

The armour head plate, although partially intact, is not enough to stop the close range shot entirely. The impact causes the wearer to be knocked instantly unconcious. and the BA tumbles forward, crashing down into the gantry*

Miraculously the console accepts the clearance codes and the security warning disappears. The messages however, have already been sent*

  379. [02:14] * ^Stephan^ pulls the data on the ship internl layput

  393. [02:17] <Remus> Breaking it will keep it locked until someone can repair it.
  394. [02:17] <Remus> We are trying to salvage the ship, so I'd rather not destroy it completely.
