  1. So I was reading up on Division by zero on Wikipedia. One equation seemed to jump at me: 0/0 * 1 = 0/0 * 2
  2.
  3. Well you can't treat 0/0 like the rest of the numbers really. He's weird. I may have found a solution for the above solution that isn't exactly "customary algebra".
  4.
  5. 0/0 * 1 = 0/0 *2 =
  6.
  7. 2(0/0 * 1) = 1(0/0 *2) =
  8. 0/0 * 2 = 0/0 * 2 =
  9. 2 = 2
  10. = 2
  11.
  12. Basically, the last operation you perform is zero, which in this case is 0/0 which is 1. The early attempt had failed with defining division by zero by saying it is zero, and the wiki states "The fallacy is the implicit assumption that dividing by 0 is a legitimate operation with the same properties as dividing by any other number."
  13.
  14. If that is true, then obviously some new ground rules must be amended. No one can change the laws of mathematics, but they can attempt to add on to it or solve problems in it that will make certain undefined numbers as defined.
  15.
  16. In the above equation I performed distributive property on both sides of the equation but not equally. This is more of a conversion rather than equalization. Again, this could be a law to ADD to math as this is indeed working with a/0.
  17.
  18. One thing to note, I did not change 0/0 while I was working on the equation. To put things in perspective, the Order of Operations is now PEMDASZ, or Parentheses, Exponents, Multiply, Divide, Add, Subtract, Zero
  19.
  20. Please Excuse my Dear Aunt Sally, Zelda
  21. Zorro
  22. Zalgo
  23. Zerg
  24. Zebra
  25.
  26. the Z integrates fine with 0 and multiplication:
  27.
  28. 0 and multiplication proof of concept:
  29.
  30. 0 * (2 + 3) = 5 * 0
  31.
  32. 0 * 5 = 5 * 0
  33.
  34. 0 = 0
  35.
  36.
  37. 0 * 2 + 3 = 5 * 0 (No P, no E, can't work on 0, no D, add 3 + 5, no S, yes Z )
  38. 0 * 5 = 5 * 0 (No, No, No, No, No, No, Yes->(No, No, Yes,...))
  39. 0 = 0;
  40.
  41.
  42.
  43. another:
  44.
  45. 0(2 + 3) = 5 * 0 (Cannot distribute, no E, Cannot distribute, no D, add 2 + 3, no S, yes Z)
  46.
  47.
  48. yet another:
  49.
  50. 1/0 * 2 + 3 = 5 * 1/0
  51. 1/0 * 5 = 5 * 1/0
  52. ? = ? (1/0 I have not fully defined, but the math is? LOL!??)
  53.
  54. More info to come. I have yet to find a rule for division by zero, and as seen above, math gets freaky with zero. I'm close (I think).
