  1. >"Alright everyone, nothing to see here, move along.."
  2. >The guard pony shooed off the crowed, giving Twilight the chance to move closer
  3. "Sir!, what's going on? Why are there so many Guards here?"
  4. >Twilight takes a step back to look at the other guards
  5. >Two are blocking Fluttershys' door, while the one she is confronting is blocking the bridge leading to the cottage
  6. >"We're sorry Miss, a serious crime has taken place and we need everypony off the premises at once so I'm going to have to ask you to-"
  7. "But that's my friends cottage! I have to see what's going on!"
  8. >The guards face turns from one of stern demeanor to one of shock
  9. >"You're...?"
  10. >Twilight let's out a drawn out sigh before answering the guard
  11. "Yes, I'm Celestias student and bearer of the Element of Magic, now can you please move aside?"
  12. >The guard turns around and walks towards the two at the door
  13. >He whispers something to the guards, to distant to be deciphered
  14. >He turns around again, facing Twilights direction, and waves a hoof for her to come over
  15. >She quickly trots over to the guards, awaiting for them to open the door
  16. >"Do be careful Mrs.Twilight, we don't want you to accidentally tamper with evidence that could be useful to us.."
  17. >She shakes her head in agreement, and the guard opens the door with a eerie creak...
  18.
  19. >The doors opened wide, revealing the contents of the cottage
  20. >It was clean, swept recently
  21. >None of the usual animals were inside, this is what caught Twilight off
  22. >And where was Fluttershy?
  23. >A faint sobbing, right above Twilight
  24. >If she hadn't stood where she did she might have missed it
  25. >It sounded vaguely like ...
  26. "Fluttershy?"
  27. >She perked up an ear and listened to the crying
  28. >"W-W-Why would somepony do this? I-I-I can't...Why?"
  29. >Twilight realized something was VERY wrong
  30. >She headed upstairs, and looked at the bed
  31. >Before she could even turn her head, Fluttershy was under the covers, and crying
  32. >"I-I don't have a-anymore, you took them all, p-please.."
  33. "Fluttershy? What happened?"
  34. >The shivering blankets ceased, and were slowly pulled down by a yellow hoof
  35. >Only her bright blue eyes were exposed
  36. >"T-Twilight?"
  37. >Her eyes darted from wall to wall, searching.. Looking.
  38. >"H-he's not here is he?"
  39. "Who's not here? Fluttershy, what happened?"
  40. >Fluttershy was startled at the sudden question, and retreated back into the blankets
  41. >"N-no one.. Please, I qwant to be left-"
  42. >Before she could speak, Twilight yanked the covers off with surprising ease
  43. >Only Fluttershys trademark "EEP" was heard as Twilight realized what she bore witness to
  44. >An act against Pegasus kind, an act of true cruelty
  45. >Her friend lay on the bed, shivering on her back, her wings completely exposed.
  46. >Where beautiful feathers once lay flat, only plain pinkish skin remained
  47.
  48. "Fluttershy?! What happened to your wings!?"
  49. >"I-I don't know Twilight, they were all gone when I woke up..C-Can you fix this?"
  50. >Twilight took a moment to think, all her regrowth spells would take days, weeks, for the feathers to grow back
  51. >it would easily take months for enough feathers to grow back for her to fly again
  52. >Zecora didn't have anything for wings because, well..
  53. "I don't think I have anything that'll help this instant.. But if you could try to remember who could have done this, it would surly help the guards."
  54. >Fluttershy looked down at the wooden floor, wiped away a tear, and spoke again
  55. >"I already said *sniffle* I woke up like this..
  56. >Twilight turned away from the bed, tired of looking at what remains of her friends wings
  57. >Twilight thought to herself...
  58. "There have GOT to be clues, but where?"
  59. >She looked around the room, nothing
  60. >Under the bed perhaps?
  61. >she got down and looked under the bed, horn glowing, allowing her vision in the dark underneaths
  62. "Nothing.."
  63. >But, what was that?
  64. >Twilight got up and walked to the right of the bed
  65. >A long red tie..
  66. >A clue?
  67. >She picked it up with her magic, and showed Fluttershy
  68. "You don't wear ties, do you?"
  69. >Last Night
  70. >You are Anon
  71. >The infamous Beast of Ponyville and Terror of the Everfree
  72. >And what does an Anon have to do to get a comfy pillow around here?
  73.
  74. >Last night, you had the worst dream
  75. >You were in a cage, laughed at by all the ponies
  76. >Flim and Flam were poking you with sticks like some carnival animal and ponies threw rotting fruits at you
  77. >But when you awoke, you realized 3 things
  78. >1.Sleeping on rocks for pillows and cushions sucked. A lot.
  79. >2.A cave isn't as cool a home or idea as you'd thought it be
  80. >3.If the ponies decided to find out if you were real, they could try to capture you
  81. >Time to teach them the meaning of fear
  82. >And possibly pick up a blanket or two
  83. >Mainly for the blanket and pillow though, the thought of an angry mob with torches and pitch-forks as a possibility wasn't all to great an idea
  84. >You get up from your rock couch and make your way to the exit of the Everfree
  85. >Once you get out, you can spot a small house
  86. >Maybe you can steal a blanket or something...
  87. >You walk towards the house, spotting many different animals along the way
  88. >Cool, maybe grab something to eat here too
  89. >You looked at what could be a second story window
  90. >You pop it open, and make you way inside
  91. >Although not a very silent entry, it was quiet enough to make sure the pony that resided here stayed asleep
  92. >You tiptoed as silently as possible, and looked at the sleeping mare
  93. >Well, it could have been a stallion but the hair says otherwise
  94. >You begin to pull the blanket off, but it's caught in her hooves
  95. >But then you spotted it
  96. >A solution to both your problems
  97. >Her yellow wings, unfolded, spread across the bed
  98. >The soft feathers, and in abundance too
  99. >Although you didn't know to much about their little society, a Pegasus' feathers were quite dear to them
  100. >But they looked.. So soft..
  101. >Just a pillow full?
  102. >You begin to pluck each individual feather, taking satisfaction in each of the soft quills
  103. >You were sleeping good from here on out
  104. >You reach down for another, and touch warm skin instead
  105. >You look at the mare on the bed, instead of the bundle of feathers held by your other arm
  106. >You took all of them..
  107.
  108. >Well, that wasn't planned..
  109. >She's sure gonna be pissed once she wakes up that's for sure
  110. >The bundle you have isn't enough for half a pillow
  111. >You need moar
  112. >You're about to leave when your pulled to the floor
  113. >Thankfully, it wasn't loud
  114. >But your tie is in the hooves of that mare
  115. >You grab the tie and start to pull
  116. >No give, this mare has an Iron Grip
  117. >If she woke up, she'd beat your ass for sure
  118. >Think.. There's got to be some way..
  119. >An idea hits!
  120. >You start to untie the ties that bind
  121. >You're free!
  122. >At the price of one tie, but you'll get another soon enough
  123. >You make your way out the window
  124. >You're about to go make a mini pillow when you spot another Pegasus..
  125. >Flying towards a cloud house
  126. >Perhaps...
  127.
  128. >you walk under the cloud household
  129. >Pretty far up, but if you could get the necessary supplies, you could easily get up there
  130. >First, you'll need a cloud walking spell
  131. >Second, you'll need something to lift you up there
  132. >Third, You'll need to not be caught
  133. >You already know where you can get the cloud walking spell
  134. >Time to hit up your favorite unicorn
  135. >Lyra...
  136. >You begin the walk to her place, ever-since she spotted you that one fateful day, she'd been pretty much your only friend since then
  137. >Helped you out in times of need, she even offered you a place in her house
  138. >You would have accepted but then she said her friend "Bon Bon" wouldn't be keen on letting you stay
  139. >It was alright though, she still helps out and visits whenever she can
  140. >You told her that every once in a while she should wait and sit at a park bench when no one was a round
  141. >That's how you spotted her in a crowd, her way of sitting
  142. >And sure enough, she's sitting at that same bench
  143. >She always seems to know when your coming to visit..
  144. "Hey, Lyra!"
  145. >"Hey Anon! long time no see, whatcha' need?"
  146. "I came to ask for a little help.."
  147.
  148. >"Sure, anything for my favorite human!"
  149. >You look to your left and to your right, scanning for anypony who might be watching
  150. "Lyra, I really need a cloudwalking spell, I..."
  151. >"What for, if you don't mind me asking?"
  152. >You truly don't want to lie to her, but you can't tell the truth...
  153. "I'm making some new pillows.."
  154. >Your really hoping she buys it..
  155. >She squints at you, she's onto you-!
  156. >"Alright, but you gotta make me a cloud pillow too!"
  157. >It's not lying, it's twisting the truth..
  158. "Alright, deal. The faster the spell gets done the faster I can get on those clouds."
  159. >She leans back, her horn begins to glow,
  160. >You can feel a presence, like something watching you
  161. >You assume it's the spell, did it work?
  162. >"There! one cloud walking spell, remember our deal Anon!"
  163. "I will, see ya later Lyra!"
  164. >You wave good bye as you walk away,
  165. >Those feathers are soon to be yours...
  166. >And you'll just pick some of the edge of the cloud and take it back to Lyra for a pillow
  167. >Now, something to get you up on that cloud..
  168.
  169. >Twilight scratched her chin
  170. "Whoever did this, they wouldn't do this without reason, the punishment is to severe for anyone to even CONSIDER taking a Pegasus' feathers."
  171. >Fluttershy, laying on the couch, interrupts Twilights thinking
  172. >"I could ask my animals if they saw anything last night.."
  173. >Twilight perks up, and faces Fluttershy
  174. "And you decide to tell me this now because...?"
  175. >Fluttershy goes back to her shivering
  176. >"Well, I thought you wouldn't think it was important.."
  177. >Twilight lets out a loud groan
  178. "Fluttershy, can you please go ask the animals? I'll stay in here and look for more clues..."
  179. >Fluttershy slowly gets up from her couch and begins to walk towards the door
  180. >She begins to think to herself..
  181. >"What if the animals don't recognize me without my feathers?"
  182. >"What if they think I'm somepony else and refuse to answer?"
  183. >She walks outside and Twilight makes her way back upstairs
  184. >She looks around, hopeful for more clues as to who did this
  185. >"Alright Twilight, they had to get in somehow, where..."
  186. >On queue, she spots the still open window
  187. "Ah-ha!"
  188. >She trots over to the window, and looks down
  189. >Hoof-Prints!
  190. >...
  191. >Sort of..
  192. "Looks like we've got a trail..."
  193. >She starts her way downstairs
  194. >She turns just as Fluttershy walks through the door
  195. >"My animals said that it looked like of of the monkeys, but with a suit and had green skin.."
  196. "Then we know what we're looking for, let's go!"
