  1. >You hated your Biology teacher
  2. >She was many things, but above all, she was a bitch
  3. >You also hated yourself
  4. >You were many things, but above all, you didn't know when to shut up
  5. >Sure, you were probably right about her not being fit to teach impressionable young minds with her mediocrity
  6. >Sure, everyone knew she was dumber than a rock
  7. >Sure, you could probably give her lessons better than her with your current knowledge, along with half of your classmates
  8. >But heck, despite having the IQ to notice these things, which she probably didn't, you still kept answering back
  9. >Everyone else was smart enough to not do that
  10. >You could have stopped at any point and be the bigger man
  11. >But no, you just HAD to make sure she knew she was better suited as YOUR student instead of the other way around
  12. >Looks like you still had stuff to learn
  13. >Dealing with abusive authority, for one
  14. >And you did get your lesson
  15. >You had to stay in her classroom during lunch, doing the classwork you were too occupied to work on
  16. >What with educating the feeble minds around you
  17. >But luckily, she was as mediocre with her assignments as she was with her class lessons
  18. >You finished it all before lunch time was over, a far shorter time than the amount she gave you during class
  19. >You rushed towards the lunch room, hoping you had enough time to stuff yourself before the bell rung
  20. >Thinking about why you'd felt specially stupid today, you didn't notice the two girls you passed by in a hurry
  21. >One had big orange hair that could make a poodle envious
  22. >The other had purplish hair gathered in twin tails and green highlights
  23. >Indeed, you didn't even register them at all
  24. >What you did register, after turning around the corner, was crashing into a different girl head on
  25.
  26. >"Ow!"
  27. >You were both sprawled on the floor, but you were quick to raise yourself from the ground and help her up
  28. "I'm sorry! Are you ok?"
  29. >She was clutching her head with a hand while holding yours with the other
  30. >"I... I think so"
  31. >You'd never seen her before, but then, Canterlot High was full of people you had never seen either
  32. >The first thought to enter your mind after stopping to inspect her was that she was cute
  33. >Her hair was striped in light and dark blue, a ponytail behind her and bangs framing her face
  34. >God, her face
  35. >You were never into chicks that used that much makeup, but was her smile cute
  36. >Sure, her eyelashes looked big enough to be used as a broom
  37. >But the innocent look she sent your way was irresistible
  38. >"Are you ok yourself?"
  39. >Her voice was entrancing too, making you feel as if some magnetic force both pushed and pulled you towards her
  40. >Closer and closer to her tight teenage body, wearing a somewhat bizarre outfit
  41. >You felt like you were just falling towards her, as if you had been caught in her gravitational field and couldn't help but go towards her
  42. >You... You wouldn't mind that...
  43. >But she had asked you a question
  44. >And your stomach seemed to have grown a voice of its own
  45. "I'm ok"
  46. >She looked right at your eyes for a second, without lingering at all, and then looked at your hand holding hers
  47. >Pulling her hand free, she just left
  48. >As if you didn't exist
  49. >She did flash you a smile, though
  50. >...
  51. >What did just happen?
  52. >It took a lot of concentration for you to move your feet towards the mess hall and get something from the lunch bar
  53. >You were still thinking of your encounter while you silently ate, unaware of how messy the mess hall had become
  54.
  55.
  56. >You ate like a zombie at your usual place, in a table you usually shared with your friends
  57. >"Dude, we are totally signing up for this battle of the bands, you hear me?"
  58. >You could only think of her innocent smile
  59. >"We'll teach those fuckers not to go around trying to imply we are some sort of lesser humans"
  60. >Those cute eyes belonging to one of those people that would not kill a bug if she could avoid it
  61. >"Yo, Anon, you there? That's the second bell, we are late to class already, come on!"
  62. >About how she had not even thought twice about you, while you were now unable of thinking of anything else
  63. >In fact you'd been thinking of her for...
  64. >The bell snapped you out of your thoughts
  65. >It creeped you out to find yourself completely alone in the mess hall
  66. >You didn't notice it before, but the other people had been very noisy when you arrived, and the silence unnerved you
  67. >You quickly tossed your disposables in the trash and walked out, wondering how you hadn't noticed something as obvious as a large mass of teenagers leaving you alone to your musings
  68. >It was almost as if you had entered some sort of... Trance
  69. >But just as you were about to open the door to head out the lunch room, the doors opened themselves for you
  70. >On the other side were three girls
  71. >You instantly recognized one of them
  72. >They all recognized you
  73. >"Give it back"
  74. >The one in the middle, the one with orange poodle hair, gave off one really menacing look
  75. "Uhh, I'm sorry, what?"
  76. >You obviously had no idea of what she was talking about
  77. >"I said: Give. It. Back"
  78. >With every word, she approached one step at a time
  79. >All the better for you, since you didn't feel like walking back
  80. >Maybe your earlier asshole self was coming back
  81. "Give you what? I didn't take anything from you"
  82. >She was looking right in your eyes, none backing down
  83. >"Do you not have Sonata's necklace, then?"
  84.
  85. >Her tone was more of exasperation
  86. >Equally exasperated, you made a show of checking your pockets...
  87. >To find a foreign object in them
  88. >Slowing down with a confused look, you brought out of your shirt pocket a ruby necklace
  89. >The purple haired girl immediately snatched the artefact from your hand
  90. >"Nice try, thief. Next time, stash the loot until it's safe to take it with you"
  91. "Hey, I don't know how that got there."
  92. >She smirked, while the poodle haired one didn't seem too amused at your remark
  93. >"Maybe... When we bumped into each other"
  94. >You were all looking at the blue haired girl now
  95. >She was wearing an apologetic smile, as if it had been her fault instead of yours
  96. >You couldn't stop yourself
  97. >Pushing the other two girls aside, you moved to stand in front of her
  98. "I'm Anonymous, but Anon is fine. Nice to meet you, Sonata was it?"
  99. >You could almost feel the stunned glares behind your back
  100. >Did you care?
  101. >Not for a second
  102. >"Y-Yeah... Yes, that's me"
  103. >She was a little taken aback by your rather bold approach
  104. "I'm sorry about earlier, and about the necklace too. I didn't notice I had it"
  105. >Her smile was more open now, a small blush adorning her features
  106. >"That's ok"
  107. >You felt a hand on your shoulder, but you shrugged it off
  108. "Would you like to go out and grab a bite some time? Maybe catch a movie?"
  109. >The hand returned, and you could hear muffled laughs behind you
  110. >But your mind was lost in the embodiment of perfection that stood in front of you
  111. >"W-Well..."
  112. >Her stutter was cut off by blaring laughter
  113. >"This is too much! I can't watch any longer!" cried one of them
  114. >"My... My sides hurt!" was all the other could get out in her joy
  115. >In her embarrassment, Sonata was fully blushing now
  116. >This angered you
  117. >Not because they were making fun of you
  118. >But because they made her feel uncomfortable and be silent
  119. >Or that's what your fevered mind thought
  120. >"This is too cruel..."
  121. >"Just turn the damn thing off already, will you?"
  122.
  123. >You didn't understand anything
  124. >You had been... Hypnotized?
  125. >No, no, that'd never worked on you before
  126. >The scam artists just said that some are harder to hypnotize
  127. >You'd never believed in that bullcrap
  128. >Yet, here you are, wondering how you had said the stuff you said
  129. >And... Felt the things you felt
  130. >Betrayal, guilt, humiliation
  131. >That's what you felt now, among other things
  132. >Why had you been so obsessed with this girl you'd just met?
  133. >Sure, she really was one hot piece of ass, no doubt about it
  134. >But your behaviour was still not justified
  135. >"Oh,GOD, I wish we had been recording"
  136. >You were finally aware of what happened around you
  137. >The other two girls were almost pissing themselves in their mirth
  138. >While Sonata was just standing there, with the amulet in her hand
  139. >It looked a lot more opaque now
  140. >"I'm very, very sorry..."
  141. >And you?
  142. >You were angry
  143. >VERY angry
  144. >You felt you were angrier and you ought to
  145. >But fact of the matter was, you'd never been more enraged in your life
  146. >Was it because you'd been fooled?
  147. >You could see how you felt when you first crashed into her
  148. >Maybe because had been toyed with?
  149. >You could feel their laughter at your desperate approach
  150. >Or maybe you lost something you held dear
  151. >Something you had genuinely loved...
  152. >You remembered how she sighed, her eyes suddenly sad
  153. >And how she looked at you while holding the necklace in her hand, its shimmer dying down as your conscience came back
  154. >"Come on, girls. We need to practice for our upcoming victory," you heard, as if from far away
  155. >You turned, tumbling towards the nearest column, your legs refusing to support your weight much longer
  156. >A mind-crushing headache settling in, and becoming worse with every passing second
  157. >Grabbing your head between your hands, your feet slowly slid through the floor, depositing you on the ground
  158. >This definitely hadn't been your day
  159. >"Hey"
  160.
  161. >A whisper made it through your numb mind
  162. >You looked up, and immediately turned your head, closing your eyes tightly
  163. >You couldn't bear to fall again
  164. >You couldn't become enamoured by her again, just to have it taken from you
  165. >You couldn't... Look at those eyes...
  166. >"Anon... I'm sorry"
  167. >Your hands clasped around your ears now, not wanting to hear that sweet voice
  168. >And then you felt her delicate hands on top of them, gently pulling them so you could hear her
  169. >"I didn't mean to hurt you, Anon, I really didn't," she kept whispering
  170. >How could you trust her?
  171. >How did you know she wouldn't be forcing you to accept her words?
  172. >What stopped her from hurting you again?
  173. >"So please... I know I don't have any right to ask you for anything, but..." her voice was frantic
  174. >And, fucking hell, why did this affect you so much?
  175. >You felt like a bitch, getting all emotional over someone you had just met
  176. >Deciding to ignore the alarms in your head telling you to stay in your current position, you plunged into the void
  177. >You let her take your hands off your ears, holding them gently
  178. >And opened your eyes
  179. >"Please don't cry..."
  180. >You were shocked by what you saw
  181. >Maybe a tear or two escaped your eyes before you could stop them
  182. >But her face was full of them, slightly smearing her make-up
  183. >She was looking at the ground, her entire expression screaming 'shame'
  184. >Your hand shot up as if by instinct, eliciting a gasp from her
  185. >You couldn't stop yourself, yet again
  186. >You held her face in your hand, making her look at you
  187. "...Ok"
  188. >She seemed surprised
  189. >Your thumb gently traced her cheek, wiping her tears
  190. >She leaned into your hand
  191. "I promise"
  192. >You held her confused expression with your own determined one for a few moments more
  193. >Both looking into each other's eyes
  194. >And then you released her
  195. "But you can't cry either"
  196. >You got up and went to the door, leaving her on the floor
  197. >Everybody walk the dinosaur
