ETS Guide test 1 (money)
Your response can be organized like this:
1 Introduction: explain what general topic the professor is talking about
2 Lead-in: state what kind of points the professor makes (“She gives two definitions of money.”)
3 First point (“Under the broad definition, money is anything that can be exchanged for goods or services.”)
4 Detail/example (“For example, a taxi driver could give a ride to a farmer in exchange for vegetables.”)
5 Second point (“Under the narrow definition, money is only what has to be accepted by law in a country.”)
6 Detail/example
