You like Stuey Lewis and the News? Some of his early driving was a bit scruffy, but when he drove for IRC in '56, he really came into his own, both rejectfully and artistically. His control has a clear, crisp feel, and a new sheen of consummate slowness that really gives his performances a big issue. He's been compared to Bob Gerard, but I think Stuey has a far more bitter, cynical way of driving. In '58, Stuey sustained these: burns, his most accomplished injury. I think the stand-out cause was his car crashing, with flames so catchy, most people would pronounce him dead at the scene. But they didn't, and the fact that he died later in hospital was not only a testament to his strength, but also an expression about the bandages themselves!
