  5. DAY 4
  6.
  7. Recap
  8. >Use magic to remove fallen tree from path
  9. >Get into town, head to Library
  10. >**Send warning letter to Princess Celestia**
  11. >Recruit Spike, go to Sally’s Stage
  12. >Let Sweetie Belle attend to wigged out Rarity
  13. >Stealth way into back door
  14. >Collect Snakeoil Sally’s suspicious ingredients from washroom
  15. >Found by Derpy
  16. >xXx Knocked Derpy out xXx
  17. >Woke up Sally, ran like mad
  18. >Caught by Sally
  19. >**Continuously tell her the truth**
  20. >Released by Sally and rejoin Scootaloo and Spike
  21. >Get Scootahug, Hug Hayseed, Saved the Quest
  22.
  23. >Raisin, Scootaloo, and Spike stand out in the middle of a soon abandoned town square, narrowly escaping the clutches of Snakeoil Sally. Having just stolen a concoction of secret ingredients from Sally’s washroom laboratory, the young fillies and their small dragon friend find themselves in a rare moment of safety as they attempt to figure out their next course of action.
  24.
  25. >Scootaloo realizes that she’s still hugging Raisin after the altercation. She pushes her away and looks about. “Okay… soo… uh… now that you’re back on the ground, shouldn’t we go find Sweetie Belle and Rarity? They were supposed to wait for us.”
  26.
  27. >Spike scratches his chin. “Maybe they’re at the Boutique?”
  28.
  29. >Raisin’s destiny is now in your hands. Take good care of her or else.
  30.
  31. Activate stealth mode.
  32. Check out boutique
  33.
  34. To the Boutique!
  35.
  36. >You agree with Spike. If Sweetie and Rarity are anywhere, they're more than likely back at the Boutique. After all, you did spend quite some time backstage at Sally's place. They probably got tired. Shaking off some of the adrenaline of your near death experience, you lead Scootaloo and Spike over to Sweetie's place.
  37.
  38. >When you arrive, you notice a letter pinned to the door. Scootaloo squints up at it, then looks into the windows.
  39.
  40. >"...they're not home?" Spike looks about, unsure. "Where could they be, then?"
  41.
  42. Could we get a quick inventory check?
  43.
  44. >Raisin: Boots, CMC Cape, Vial of Strange Sand, Rocks, Hayseed + Peppermint Candy Canes, Stompstarter
  45. Scootaloo: CMC Cape, Vial of Algae, Vial of Odd Bathwater, Snakeoil Sally Miracle Elixir
  46. Spike:
  47.
  48. Check the letter.
  49.
  50. It probably says they've gone to the castle in the sand, though.
  51.
  52. >You walk up to the door and yank the small, elegant parchment off. You begin to read it aloud to Scootaloo and Spike.
  53.
  54. >"Dear Customers,
  55.
  56. >I will not be in today. Sorry for the inconvenience. If you need me or my little sister, we'll be in town.
  57.
  58. >-Rarity"
  59.
  60. >You drop the letter on the ground. "...'be in town'?" Scootaloo picks the letter up. "Did it say where?" Spike starts looking around, seeing if he can spot the duo from his current vantage. He has no luck.
  61.
  62. Do we want to check back at Snakeoil's stand to see if Rarity is getting more elixir? Or do we want to avoid that place for a while?
  63.
  64. Oh well, I guess theres nothing left to do but wet out whistle. Drink the elixir
  65.
  66. NO.
  67.
  68. Stealth mode around town, searching for Rarity.
  69. Be extra cautious, but check the snake-oil stand in case she's trying to score more juice.
  70.
  71. Really we should get some sleep. WE're tired and won't be able to function much longer.
  72.
  73. But do we want to chance losing Rarity and Sweetie Bell?
  74.
  75. Better than tripping over ourselves from being too tired.
  76.
  77. Power nap time, you know.
  78.
  79. >"Well, if they're not here, we should just start looking around town. We'll bump into them eventually, right?" You yawn a little bit, realizing that you just stayed up an entire night. "We have to make sure Rarity's not trying to get any more of that nasty potion."
  80.
  81. >"Sweetie Belle's watching her, Raisin. She won't let that happen, would she?" Scootaloo starts walking toward Sweet Apple Acres. "If they're going to be wandering around town, why don't we go check on Applebloom?"
  82.
  83. >Spike looks at you, then at Scootaloo. "Wherever you guys want to go." He avoids offering any constructive input.
  84.
  85. Much as I hate to say it, we are tired. Let's find some place to crash for a bit. No more than a bit though, we got fairly urgent stuff to do.
  86.
  87. Sleep inside the boutique for a bit. Make sure we get up in a few hours, as to not miss much.
  88.
  89. >You shake your head, trying to wake up a bit. Not wanting to be too groggy for another adventure today, you quickly decide that taking a quick nap might not be a bad idea.
  90.
  91. >"A nap? After all that?" Scootaloo looks you over. "You nearly bite the dust and you want to sleep?" She shrugs, barely able to keep her eyes open. "Actually... I don't think I'd mind that right about now..."
  92.
  93. >Spike stretches and cracks his fingers. "I agree. Let's crash for a bit."
  94.
  95. >You suggest that the three of you find some lodging at the Boutique. When you try to open the door, however, you discover that it's locked.
  96.
  97. >"C'mon, let's go to the library. I'm sure Twilight won't mind if y-" Spike remembers that Twilight is still missing. "...this way."
  98.
  99. >As you approach the library, you see Sweetie Belle jumping up and down in front of a Royal Guard outside. She looks worried.
  100.
  101. Go see what the problem is.
  102.
  103. Convenient.
  104.
  105. Walk up and ask where Rarity went off to.
  106.
  107. This should be rich
  108.
  109. If the guard asks, we dont know her
  110.
  111. >You gallop up to Sweetie Belle to see what's going on. "Rarity's gone! She disappeared into the night! I can't find her anywhere!" She walks in a few tight circles. "She was right there and then... poof! She was gone!"
  112.
  113. >The guard looks concerned. "I'm sorry to hear that, little one, but we're already on a search and rescue mission. We've got orders directly from the Princess herself to find a pony named Twilight Sparkle."
  114.
  115. >Sweetie looks about ready to cry. "But... can you just keep an eye out for her?" She shudders a little. "She's... white... and has a purple mane... and..."
  116.
  117. >The guard simply looks around. "I'm sorry, but we'll have to look for her another time." He backs up slowly, continuing into town. Sweetie seems pretty down. "I can't believe I lost her..."
  118.
  119. Bah. Get a scroll and tell Spike to take a letter, we need to extend the search to Rarity too.
  120.
  121. Sweetie seems upset. Lets cheer her up
  122.
  123. with elixir
  124.
  125. This. All compromised members of the mane 6 need to be recovered, if only for their EoH.
  126.
  127. Tell Sweetie we'll get her back, but we need to find AB first.
  128.
  129. Ask the guards if they know when the guards that are looking for Snakeoil Sammy are going to arrive.
  130.
  131. >"Spike, take a letter." You ask the small dragon.
  132.
  133. >He nods his head, running into the library for a moment. He returns with a quill and some parchment.
  134.
  135. >"Dear Princess Celestia,
  136.
  137. >Sorry to bother you again, but Rarity, Twilight's dearest friend and Sweetie Belle's loving sister, has also gone missing. We'd like you to extend the guard's orders to make them search for her too. Thanks!
  138.
  139. -Raisin"
  140.
  141. >You tell Spike to go ahead and send the letter off. He yawns, then blasts the letter up into a stream of bright green light. He shakes his head, trying to stay awake. "Okay, Twilight... can I please get some sleep now?"
  142.
  143. >You shake your head, realizing that he must be extremely tired. Sweetie Belle gives you a soft smile. "Thanks, Raisin."
  144.
  145. She's now known as Snakeoil Sally, though it's definitely the same bird!
  146.
  147. Tell them that we saw a sick looking unicorn filly wandering through town last night. We followed her to the room behind the stage where Snakeoil Sally was staying, then followed her inside to make sure she was okay. When we got inside we saw several cages full of Unicorn fillies, some treasure laying in a pile on the floor, and several pictures of Snakeoil Sally in different outfits and one picture where she was dressed up as a male. Tell them we think that Snakeoil Sammy may be one of her aliases.
  148.
  149. >You explain to the guard that there is a griffin in town named Snakeoil Sally. You go on to explain that you saw an odd unicorn filly enter the place in the dead of the night. You followed her, only to discover that Sally is keeping a whole bunch of little unicorn fillies held up in her stage.
  150.
  151. >The guard's eyes widen up. "That's quite an accusation, little filly... Snakeoil Sammy or not, abduction is a serious crime." He puts his hoof down next to you. "You four stay here. I'm going to get the captain to investigate this claim. If we find out that you were lying in any way, you will be severely punished. Understand?"
  152.
  153. >(To elixir guy) This guy is seriously awesome. He's like that evil consciousness voice in Raisin's head that encourages her to feed the drink to as many ponies as possible. He represents an inner temptation to test Raisin's curiosity for the drink's flavor.
  154.
  155. Get Spike and the others to back us up on this. Tell them that she caught us as we were leaving, and may be trying to hide things.
  156.
  157. Also boy I sure hope Snakeoil doesnt hide everything and make us look like idiots.
  158.
  159. Jr said that Sally will be hiring guards and moving stuff around. If we want to get back in tonight we will need to use Pinkie Pie.
  160.
  161. I just got an idea. Some time today we are going to need to go to Sugarcube Corner and see if they finished that grape jelly. I have an idea.
  162.
  163. >You look back to Spike, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle. They each step forward in their own groggy haze.
  164.
  165. >"She's telling the truth, Mr. Guard. Every bit of it. I saw them too, all locked up in cages and everything." Scootaloo says.
  166.
  167. >"She caught us as we were leaving, though..." Spike continues. "What if she hides everything before you guys get there?"
  168.
  169. >The guard looks you all over again. "We'll search it immediately, then. If what you're saying is true, then the evidence will be impossible to hide."
  170.
  171. >He turns around to make his leave. "You kids stay here so that I can find you again. The captain may need to have a word with you."
  172.
  173. >Sweetie Belle still looks worried. "What if they don't find her?"
  174.
  175. >"They will, Sweetie Belle. What we gotta do right now is..." Scootaloo pauses for a yawn. "...find Applebloom. We've gotta get the team together so we can find out what's going on."
  176.
  177. Maybe the others should get Applebloom and Raisin should stay here in case the guard comes back.
  178.
  179. I want to get some of that grape jelly/jam from the Cakes and see if it helps Applebloom any.
  180.
  181. Jr says delivering the grapes was a good thing, and I want to figure out why.
  182.
  183. Tell them we need a nap first, and definitely don't want to piss off the Canterlot guard by disobeying them.
  184.
  185. Alright fine lets do that
  186.
  187. FUCK DA POLICE
  188.
  189. I say nap
  190.
  191. It not like Applebloom is going to SUDDENLY DIE if we dont get there tonight
  192.
  193. >You hear the yawns and sleepiness of your weary team. Having not slept a wink the night previous, something that you've tried to become accustom with since you joined the CMC, you find yourself exhausted. The excitement of being whipped around like a football has you tuckered out.
  194.
  195. >"Nap first, Applebloom later..." You take a few long blinks, seeing that everyone is nodding in agreement with you. "...also, grape jelly. I'm hungry."
  196.
  197. >Spike's already inside the Library, laying down in his cozy, clean bed. "Just find a spot, you guys. Don't mess anything up; I just cleaned." Within seconds, he seems to be fast asleep.
  198.
  199. >You and the CMC crash on Twilight's bed. Before you nap, the team unequipped their saddlebags. You pulled out Hayseed to snuggle with before climbing onto the comfy, welcome bed.
  200.
  201. >Several Hours Later...
  202.
  203. >You're suddenly awoken by a loud knock at the door. The afternoon sun has rose.
  204.
  205. Tell Scootaloo to get it. Get Hayseed out and get ready to hug her.
  206.
  207. >Not snuggling with Scootaloo
  208.
  209. FUCK THIS QUEST IM LEAVING
  210.
  211. >You tell Scootaloo to flutter on down and see who it is. She rubs her hoof on your face and grunts. You give her a bump and ask again. "...aaaaalright, fine..." Groggy and bleary eyed, the little pegasus opens up the front door. She jumps back in shock. "S...Ssss.. Sally?!" Immediately, a guard walks in with the well dressed griffin.
  212.
  213. >"Hello, kids." Sally says in a charming voice.
  214.
  215. >The guard stands tall in front of your miniscule friend. "We searched Ms. Sally's stage with her permission. She was polite enough to let us know that some mischievous pranksters have been harassing her ever since she got in town... simply because she's a griffin." The guard looks very stern. "Where is your purple friend? We need to have a word with her."
  216.
  217. >You instinctively duck under the sheets.
  218.
  219. >You gotta specify these things, man. Obviously, yes, this IS important, but I'm not gonna spoon feed ya here. This is Jr quest.
  220.
  221. Oh no, the jig is up!
  222.
  223. Quick! drink the elixir
  224.
  225. Well we screwed up, might as well try to salvage the situation before reloading.
  226.
  227. Come out and tell Sally that we can help her with her King Tezel problem, but she has to work with us.
  228.
  229. >Panicking, you slide over Sweetie Belle who is still fast asleep and walk over to the saddlebags lying on the floor. You pat your hooves over your bags, holding Hayseed in your mouth. You can't find anything that will help with this situation...
  230.
  231. ...until you bump your hoof against Scootaloo's bags. You reach inside, withdrawing one Snakeoil Sally's Miracle Elixir. Although you know the stuff is poisonous, this one drink could give you enough speed to see you out of a heap of trouble. Carefully, you uncork the bottle while Scootaloo stalls.
  232.
  233. Taking a swig, you realize why this stuff sold so well in the first place. Your heart races and your face flushes red. Instantly, all that grogginess from the night previous melts away. You feel like you're ready to take on Sally yourself. You're now bursting with energy; what do you do?
  234.
  235. >You poke your nose up above the sheets, walking toward the staircase. You see Sally give you a subtle yet disappointed smile.
  236.
  237. >"Little Ms... you told us that this wonderful griffin here was holding a bunch of young fillies hostage at her stageshow." He looks at you down the tip of his nose. "When we arrived, she was courteous and understanding of the situation. She let the guard into her house by the kindness of her own heart." He glares at you. "There was nothing of the sort found at her residence."
  238.
  239. >He continues. "Further more, Sally here says that you stole something from her show. May we have a look at your belongings?"
  240.
  241. >You hold Hayseed firmly in your mouth.
  242.
  243. Lets have Spike use his high society connections in Canterlot to get us out of this situation.
  244.
  245. Tell Sally that Tezel throws away his tools when he is finished with them. Ask the guards if she offered them anything to drink.
  246.
  247. Shit...
  248. We can dart, but we'll abandon Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle in the process, leaving them to deal with the guards.
  249. Buuut... if we grab the elixir ingredients, we can make a run for Zecora's and finally figure what's in this damn thing, and maybe make an antidote.
  250.
  251. What if we ask to apologize to Sally in person. At least to get rid of the guards.
  252.
  253. Then they'll start searching our shit and take our elixir ingredients. We CANNOT lose those.
  254.
  255. Hug Hayseed and reload if the guards try and take our stuff.
  256.
  257. Well telling the truth saved our ass once before.
  258.
  259. >You hold Hayseed in your hooves and look up at Sally, whispering just loud enough for her to hear you. "Tezel throws away his tools when he's done with 'em. You're just gonna be tomorrow's trash."
  260.
  261. >She gives you a sullen look. "...you think I don't already know that, kid?" The guards perk their ears up. Sally turns to speak in their direction. "Oh, she was just apologizing and telling me that the stuff she stole is in her bags!" Sally looks down at you. "Trust me, kid. The less involved you are, the better. Stay out of my way."
  262.
  263. >The guards start making their way through the Library.
  264.
  265. Well the guards cant find any evidence if we
  266.
  267. EAT IT ALL!
  268.
  269. Help us find a cure, find our friends, and get of of King Tezel and Celestia will give you a full pardon.
  270.
  271. "Just what are you fighting for, anyways?"
  272.
  273. LETS JUST START A FIRE ALREADY I DONT CARE WHAT
  274.
  275. >As the guards search around the Library for your bags, you ask Sally, "Just what are you fighting for, anyways?"
  276.
  277. >She gives you a concerned look. "Look, I'm just a traveling salesgriffin looking to make a quick buck. I got in way over my head with that... Tezel thing... and now I'm just trying to get out of this without being crushed into a fine paste in my sleep. Just shut up, duck out, and stop worrying about it."
  278.
  279. >Also, I see some 'burn the Library down with Hayseed as the fuel for the flames. Do we want to go this route?
  280.
  281. uhh
  282.
  283. no
  284.
  285. NO FIRES
  286.
  287. I've been monitoring until now but NO FIRES
  288.
  289. Shit, man.
  290.
  291. Fuck no.
  292.
  293. Tell her that we were able to kill Cilipharus with the help of our friends and the Elements of Harmony. We can do the same thing to King Tezel if she helps us out. Tell her that we can even get confirmation that this is true from the Princess herself if she calls the guards off.
  294.
  295. This seems kind of promising actually. Tell her about our past adventures. We have a line to the princess, we can help her with this. It's either us or get disposed of when she is no longer usefull. We are her only chance to get out safely, which is what she wants.
  296.
  297. If she needs any proof that we really have a line to the Princess we can show her the letter we got from the Princess last night. Where did we put that anyways, did we give it to Scoots?
  298.
  299. >You pull Sally close to you. "Ya know, Cilepharus is a decoration in Celestia's statue garden now thanks to us and our friends. Help us find a cure, find our friends, and we'll stop King Tezel." You look her in the eyes. "You'd be surprised, but I've got connections. I can get Celestia to give you a full pardon."
  300.
  301. >Sally can't help but laugh. "Kid, I don't even know what you're talking about, but I admire your drive." She looks down at you with a sarcastic smile. "That doll thing is really killing it for me. What are those, peppermint candy canes?" You look over Hayseed, seeing that she's still got her firm grasp on your partially melted candy.
  302.
  303. >"Connections to the Princess? Seriously, how dense do you think I am?" Sally gives you a light shove. The guards come down the stairs, carrying two saddlebags. They set them on the table and start searching through them.
  304.
  305. >"It should be a couple of glass bottles with some... uh.. stuff.. in them." Sally smirks at you.
  306.
  307. "Its my homemade fizzy lemon soda drink. I just reused the bottle. If you dont believe me, then have a sip!"
  308.
  309. Tell them we can prove it, all she has to do is tell the guards to stop searching our things. Also tell her that the candy canes are going to come in handy, but we just aren't sure how yet.
  310.
  311. Call Spike over. She's been in this town for a few days now, if she's at all decent at her job she'll know all the big names, including Twilight. We should be expecting a letter from Celestia sometime soon now anyway, not that we should mention it because then its just embarassing when it doesn't show up.
  312.
  313. If we still have the last letter she sent, show her that.
  314.
  315. Don't let any of the guards overhear this.
  316.
  317. Where the fuck is Spike. Nigga better be getting our back on this.
  318.
  319. This, and ask Spike if he has gotten word about the search for Rarity back from the Princess yet.
  320.
  321. >You whisper to her again. "I'm serious, Sally. I personally know the Princess and I can prove it... just make those guys stop."
  322.
  323. >She stares at you. "Prove it, then."
  324.
  325. >You call up to Spike. He doesn't seem to wake up, instead just grumbling a bit. Scootaloo runs up the staircase. "Hold on, I've got 'im." Within a few seconds, an extremely groggy looking Spike makes his way down the stares. He snaps awake when he sees Sally and the guards. "Whaaha! What's SHE doing here?!"
  326.
  327. >You ask Spike if he's received any word from the Princess yet. He scratches his chin. "...nothing yet. She's usually pretty quick to respond, too..." He looks around. "What are these gu-"
  328.
  329. >You cut him off, asking about the letter further and why she'd take so long to respond. Sally snickers. "Oh please... give it up, already."
  330.
  331. >Spike says that since they only sent a request to update the guard orders, the guards would more than likely be the only ones to be contacted by the Princess.
  332.
  333. "She's trying to hide the things we took because she doesnt want people to find out what's in her fake potion. She make the whole town sick."
  334.
  335. "Dont you know who this is Sally? This is Spike, Twilight Sparkle's personal assistant. She is, if you remember, the Princess's personal student. He's Twilight's direct contact to the princess."
  336.
  337. Ask Spike if he can send a letter to the Princess asking her to give Snakeoil Sammy a full pardon if he or one of his associates were to help us solve the King Tezel problem and cure the town of the after effects of drinking the Energy Drinks. Tell him to ask the Princess to respond ASAP.
  338.
  339. We need to stop relying on the princess to solve all our problems. There's a way out of this. We just have to reach through the internet and read Jrs mind.
  340.
  341. see if we can send an urgent letter that just says "send a response to this letter. the content is irrelevent."
  342.
  343. the royal seal on the return scroll should be enough to convince her
  344.
  345. We can do those last two. Demonstrate that Spike is her assistant with contact to Celestia by sending the letter, then hope that the princess can respond pretty quickly with confirmation, and isn't too bothered.
  346.
  347. Tell her that Spike is Twilight's personal assistant and can send letters to the Princess instantaneously. Tell her that the guards can even tell her that.
  348.
  349. >You point over to Spike. "You see that dragon? That's Twilight Sparkles' personal assistant. He can speak directly to the Princess on our behalf."
  350.
  351. >She looks at you coldly. The guards begin to pull things out of the saddlebags. One of them holds up a glass vial. "This one of 'em?"
  352.
  353. >Sally nods her head, then turns her attention towards you. "If you can really get my 'associate' Sammy a pardon for 'his' crimes, then by all means, please do. Use your little dragon. Get me a pardon." She says with confidence, thinking that you're just trying to bluff her.
  354.
  355. >"Spike... take a letter." You wait until he's ready with another piece of parchment and a quill.
  356.
  357. "Dear Princess Celestia,
  358.
  359. Please respond.
  360.
  361. -Raisin"
  362.
  363. >You tell Spike to send the letter simply to prove that you do, in fact, have a means of communicating with the Princess. He rolls his eyes and blasts the parchment out of the window. Sally is taken aback by the simple display. "...well... that's interesting."
  364.
  365. >You also make mention that Twilight is missing because of her poisonous potion. The guards are here looking for her and to arrest 'Sammy'.
  366.
  367. >"They're not gonna find her here, I guarantee."
  368.
  369. >The guards gather up a small circle of bottles. "Alright, found them. Just like you said, Sally, these kids stole 'em."
  370.
  371. Ask her if Twilight is still even alive, or if she has gone to the mountains to the west of town.
  372.
  373. >Finally get home for Raisin Quest
  374. >We've fucked up royally by now.
  375.
  376. Shit. Who thought it would be a good idea to run to the guards to solve everything? By trying to shirk responsibility, we've just made things worse.
  377.
  378. Also >nap.
  379.
  380. I just caught up, but from my perspective things look really bad. I really propose reloading. I mean, we missed the mob and everything.
  381.
  382. If we're continuing with this line of the quest, then I suggest owning up. Tell the guards that our friend and a lot of people we knew fell seriously ill after drinking and we thought that we could make a cure. Also, use that pardon as a bargaining chip.
  383.
  384. Someone thought it was a good idea to tell the guards about the caged fillies we saw in Sally's place before they got to her on their own. Now the guards are on our ass and we're losing everything we worked so hard to get. Now everyone's going to the princess for help, which is going to lead to a bigger shitstorm for us. Remember Jr kills people who dont take risks.
  385.
  386. Don't lie. Say that we're sorry. Lying makes everything worse in Raisin Quest.
  387.
  388. I'd really hate to reload now, but things do look like they're going south. I say we meet up with Pinkie Pie to see what happened with the mob first. That is, if we don't get arrested first.
  389.
  390. WE DON'T RELOAD TILL WE'RE DEAD OR OTHERWISE INCAPACITATED
  391.
  392. > Now everyone's going to the princess for help
  393.
  394. Ourproblem is convincing Sally that we can talk to the Princess, so of course we are going to use the Princess to solve this problem.
  395.
  396. If we get arrested the guards will confiscate our doll faster than you can say niggerfaggot.
  397.
  398. he pardon might be a good avenue, but waiting for the Princess to come to our aid gave us the absolute worst ending in Jr's last quest. I doubt he's changed his policy on that one.
  399.
  400. If that happen, give'em the old weepy filly eyes
  401.
  402. I just don't really want to lose Raisin. The guards have it out for us; it would take only a moment for them to grab Raisin out of our hands and escort us to a cell, where we'll be forced to watch bad end and there won't be anything we could do about it.
  403.
  404. >You are taken aback by her statement. "Is Twilight okay? Where have you taken her?"
  405.
  406. >Sally puts one of her cold, well decorated talons on your shoulder. "She's someone else's problem now. Don't worry about it."
  407.
  408. >You prepare to tell the guards that you only took the ingredients in order to make a cure to whatever poison is inside of Sally's potions, but a sudden burst of fire and a belch disrupts the silence. Sally looks stunned as a scroll appears out of the dragon's mouth.
  409.
  410. >Scootaloo runs it over to you. "Here. Read it, quick..." She looks over to the guards as they start heading for the door with the vials.
  411.
  412. >Sally starts following the guards. "h..Hey! Where do you think you're going with that?" The guards give her a serious look. "This is evidence that a crime has taken place. A little crime, but a crime nonetheless."
  413.
  414. >Two more guards enter the room with spears. "I hate to do this to a couple of little fillies, but you kids are coming with us."
  415.
  416. >"No! Wait! You're making a terrible mistake! Sally's the bad guy here, not us!" Spike starts waving his claws like mad.
  417.
  418. >You have the letter in your hooves. You can hear Sweetie Belle rousing upstairs, awakened by the guards loud commands. What do you do?
  419.
  420. Reload. It was a mistake to call the guards into this.
  421.
  422. Uh, read Celestia's note?
  423.
  424. Tell Sally to read the note and to not press charges. Give the candy on Hayseed a lick and then stick her to our side so we don't lose her.
  425.
  426. Read the letter. Be ready to hug Hayseed. Fuck the police, we ain't going to jail.
  427.
  428. Before we reload, lets try to save the situation.
  429. Sally is the one who would be pressing charges, she can hopefully get them to let us go.
  430. Never let go of the doll. Reload only if someoen tries to take it.
  431.
  432. She should realise that we are the real deal.
  433.
  434. I don't think the guards can press charges if the victim doesn't want them to.
  435.
  436. Except the guards already told us that they'd be pressing charges if the search pulled up nothing. So regardless of what Sally does, they'll still gonna bring us in for that.
  437.
  438. Read Sootaloo
  439.
  440. Hug the note
  441.
  442. >22 minutes and no response
  443.
  444. Incoming bad end, I hope you fuckers are happy.
  445.
  446. >Quickly, you unfurl the note.
  447.
  448. >"Dear Raisin,
  449.
  450. >I'm sorry I didn't contact you earlier about the change to the guard's orders. We just received a flood of missing ponies reports from another town close to Ponyville.
  451.
  452. >Rest assured, the guards will be looking for Rarity as well as Twilight.
  453.
  454. -Princess Celestia"
  455.
  456. >Dumbfounded, Sally grasps at the letter and reads it for herself. "Well... if I'll be an old mare..." She holds it up to the light. A spear lingers closer to your face.
  457.
  458. >"Regardless of being able to talk to the Princess, you've committed a crime against a citizen of Equestria. You mu-"
  459.
  460. >Sally jumps up. "No, no. It's fine. Actually, I don't think they meant it at all. We'll work something out. Thank you, guards..."
  461.
  462. >Scootaloo gives you a stressed out expression. "What's going on now?"
  463.
  464. >"I'm sorry, ma'am. These kids need to learn a lesson about lying, at the very least. They're distracting us from a very important missing pony search..."
  465.
  466. >"Hold on, now! You're searching for a Twilight Sparkle, yes?" Sally looks a bit nervous.
  467.
  468. >:"Yes. And another pony named 'Rarity'..." They look at her cross. "Do you know something that you're not telling us?"
  469.
  470. >Sally looks back over to you. "You 100% sure about that pardon, kid?"
  471.
  472. "If you are telling the truth about being forced to help him out, I'm dead sure."
  473.
  474. Yes. She owes us.
  475.
  476. >You nod your head, evading the spear that's nearly poking you in the nose. She takes a big gulp.
  477.
  478. >"I know where they went off to! You should have asked me about them before, I could've told you all about it..." She gives them a beaming smile. "I saw both of them just the other day playing by Froggy Bottom Bog when I was gathering some ingredients for my wonderful energy elixir." She wraps her arm around the nearest guard. "Don't tell anyone where I get my stuff from, alright?" The guard looks at her coldly.
  479.
  480. >"Froggy Bottom Bog? Are you certain you saw them out that way?"
  481.
  482. >"100% certain. They could be out there right now... but that was a hours and hours ago. They said something about camping... I sure hope they're okay." Sally gives you a quick wink.
  483.
  484. >"Alright, then. Thank you for your help, Ms. Sally." The guards withdraw their spears. One gives you a sneer. "Little brats..."
  485.
  486. >When the guards finally leave, you, Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, and Spike meet up in the center of the room. "Alright. That probably got us a few hours. You kids better be quick; what do you want from me so that I can get that pardon?"
  487.
  488. We need to know everything you can tell us about what's going on.
  489.
  490. Ask her to tell the truth. Let's see if we can this. Although, the whole "few hours ago" thing makes me really edgy that we've already lost.
  491.
  492. Dammit Jr, why do you have to make every decision seem terrible?
  493.
  494. Reminder: be specific or we'll miss key information. But also be careful not to let Sally know we dont know as much as she thinks we do.
  495.
  496.
  497. would now be a good time to save?
  498.
  499. No.
  500.
  501. Fuck no. Some people think we should in fact reload.
  502.
  503.
  504. ahhh. get info, then reload. that makes a lot more sense
  505.
  506. >You tell Sally that you need to know everything about what exactly is going on. You tell her to start from the very beginning as to how she got mixed up with some living granite pony golem named King Tezel.
  507.
  508. >Sally sighs. "You know, I said we only had a few hours..."
  509.
  510. >Scootaloo sits up. "Tell us everything you know!" Spike has the same sentiment. Sweetie Belle sits close to you. "What's even going on? I just woke up..."
  511.
  512. >You narrow it down quick, asking her about the fillies in the cages.
  513.
  514. >"Ha. That.. That's me being extraordinarily nice." She rubs her temples. "King Tezel absolutely hates children. The little unicorn fillies aren't strong enough to carve sto-" She looks at the group's confusion. "Okay, let me start from the top..."
  515.
  516. >Flashback
  517.
  518. >So I was on the road, just trying to cut out a living for myself. I was out of goods to sell and in a bit of a rut. No goods, no money, no food. I saw this temple place in a mountainside out in the desert I was traveling through, so I decided to go treasure hunting.
  519.
  520. >That was the biggest mistake of my life.
  521.
  522. >Inside, there was a ton of gold, but also some gigantic stone pony. I didn't mind him at first... he didn't move or anything. Then, he started talking to me.
  523.
  524. >He said that he appreciated having the company, but he felt compelled to grind me up into dust. As he started to approach me, I had no choice but to try and win his favor. I told him that I, Snakeoil Sally, could help him get anything he possibly wanted. He started telling me about his life, his title... a King, apparently...
  525.
  526. >Long story short, he wanted me to use this weird sand stuff to put enough unicorns into a trance to carve him a warrior out of the mountain. I said I'd agree to help as long as he didn't crush me to death. He said that was acceptable. A deal was made.
  527.
  528. >/Flashback
  529.
  530. >"And if I don't deliver 100 unicorns to his dumb Castle in the Sand by the end of this week... well... I'm a goner."
  531.
  532. >As she finishes her story, you think that you'd probably have time for 3 more questions before you had to leave the Library. It's just an estimate, of course...
  533.
  534. "How big is gigantic and how big do you think the warrior is going to be?"
  535.
  536. Did she ever think that maybe Tezel couldn't leave his little castle? Why did she think that she couldn't just take his treasure and just never return there? Also, does she know why he hates kids?
  537.
  538. Can we get some solid information on what the castle in the sand is, and what she knows about the composition of the elixir? Names of the stuff she put in it preferably. I know a lot of that was implied, but I dont feel like leaving this stuff to an assumption
  539.
  540.
  541. >Warrior
  542. >Carved out of a mountain
  543. >Animated with magic
  544.
  545. Fucking Dwemer and their fucking Numidium. I say we achieve CHIM and turn godmode on.
  546.
  547. >"Just how big is gigantic and how big do you think the warrior is going to be?"
  548.
  549. >Sally flies up in the air a little and holds her talon out about 7 ponies above your head. "I'd say he was about this tall, honestly." She lands on the ground quick. "...and the warrior of the mountain? I have no idea what that's about. He's probably going to carve a bigger stone pony out of the mountainside."
  550.
  551. >"What is in that nasty elixir crap anyways?"
  552.
  553. >She scratches her chin. "Oohh... uh... actually, to be absolutely completely honest, I'm not sure."
  554.
  555. >"Whaddya mean, 'you're not sure'?! You make the stuff, don't you?" Scootaloo protests.
  556.
  557. >"Well, yes, I do. I put some of Tezel's magic powder in the mix to get to the unicorns. It doesn't affect any of the other ponies... from what I know..." She hesitates. "The other ingredients? It was just some nasty bathwater I forgot to drain... I think I knocked in some floor cleaner and paint thinner at some point in time. One of my associates drank it once, got a huge boost of energy. 'Snakeoil Sally's Miracle Elixir' was born."
  558.
  559. >Sweetie Belle looks disgusted. "Rarity drank rancid bath water? She's not gonna be happy about that."
  560.
  561. >"Just why does Tezel hate kids?"
  562.
  563. >Sally shrugs her shoulders and looks off to the side. "I maaaaay have something to do with that..." She looks about. "You see, I knew that Tezel had a ton of gold locked up in that sand castle, so I decided to loot it... discretely." She looks over her shoulder at the door, answering a paranoid feeling. "Tezel said that he would kill any unicorn children he saw; they are too weak to help and only a burden. Being a good girl, I decided to rescue those fillies... and send them in there during the night to loot the place."
  564.
  565. >"You're despicable." Spike looks at her angrily.
  566.
  567. >"Say whatever you want. I saved those fillies and that's that." She puffs up her chest proudly.
  568.
  569. >You feel a chill run up your spine.
  570.
  571. YOU JOKE RITE
  572.
  573.
  574. >Nothing special in the elixir
  575.
  576. Holy shit. I just facepalmed. All that wasted time. Why Jr. why?
  577.
  578. >It was just some nasty bathwater I forgot to drain... I think I knocked in some floor cleaner and paint thinner at some point in time
  579. ...
  580. GOD DAMMIT JR.
  581.
  582. Tell Scootaloo to watch through the window for the guards, back away from every possible entrance and make sure that Hayseed is close enough to hug, then ask her where she hid all of her stuff so the guards wouldn't find it.
  583.
  584. Maybe send Scootaloo out to see if there are really guards waiting to pounce on us. I just think it might be worthwhile to go outside and maybe see where whatever evil thing is coming from.
  585.
  586. >You grab onto Scootaloo and pull her close. "Scoots, I've got a bad feeling right now. Keep a lookout for guards, would ya?"
  587.
  588. >She rolls her eyes. "Alright, but Sally said they'd be a few hours out." The little pegasus goes upstairs to look out of Twilight's bedroom window. As she goes upstairs, you ask, "...where did you hide all your stuff at?"
  589.
  590. >She looks at you funny. "Eh.. since we're on the same side for the moment..." She smirks. "I actually just let the unicorn fillies run free in the streets. I really hope they don't go toward the 'music' in the west... had to save my skin first, though. As for the treasure..." She shakes her head. "That's a secret."
  591.
  592. >Scootaloo falls downstairs. "RUN!!!" Spike rides Sweetie into the kitchen. Sally looks around the Library, darting to the kitchen.
  593. duck somewhere other than the kitchen because it'll probably go after the big group. Grip Hayseed and reload once we see whatever abomination was lurking on the library's second floor.
  594.
  595. Fuck, I don't know.
  596.
  597. Look. Please oh please don't let my insatiable curiosity kill us.
  598.
  599. >You decide it best to separate from the group. You by the stairs and hide in one of the statue alcoves. Suddenly, you hear a crash of glass on the upper story floor. A terrible roar shakes the small tree.
  600.
  601. >Your friends shriek in the other room, darting out with Sally close behind. Behind them, a giant stone wingtip reaches into the library.
  602.
  603. >"I was afraid of that..." Sally is ducking near you.
  604.
  605. >"What?! You know what that thing is!?" Spike yells over the screeching of the giant stone bird.
  606.
  607. >"That blockhead said he'd get me if I betrayed him, one way or another..." She gulps. "I guess he wasn't kidding..."
  608.
  609. >You see a sharp beak slam through the upper story wall. It works its way through the wall, jabbing big holes into the tree as it gets closer and closer to Sally.
  610.
  611. Goddamn, reload.
  612.
  613. Shit, thank God we waited. I would have went over and tried to get Sally's trust again if we reloaded. Looks like we're on our own again.
  614.
  615. >winged creature
  616. >made of stone
  617. >can still fly
  618.
  619. Fucking magic, man. Reload, close our eyes so we don't see Sally get her head crushed while Hayseed's magic is working.
  620.
  621. >You can't take anymore of this tension. You bring Hayseed close to your face, taking in her wonderful scent of home. You start to remember all of the fantastic pies your mom would bake for you as after school snacks. You remember her warm smile when she served them up with just a little dollop of whipped cream on top.
  622.
  623. >As the world begins to fade around you, a sharp pain tears its way into your back. You see the fading image of Sally being struck by a stone emerging from your chest. It barely misses Hayseed. Suddenly, you feel warmth around your neck and a familiar softness against your cheek.
  624.
  625. >Scootaloo pulls away, realizing that she's been seen hugging you in public. "Oh.. umm..." She clears her throat. "Should we go find Sweetie Belle and Rarity? They were supposed to wait for us the other night."
  626.
  627. >You're back out in the middle of the town square
  628.
