HOLY FUCK I LOVE THIS SONG
NOT ONLY IS IT A REALLY GOOD SONG, THE LYRICS ARE REALLY PRETTY I HONESTLY CANNOT DO THEM JUSTICE o(--<
While researching up background information for this song (aka izayoi/sixteenth-night moon) I learned that izayoizuki seems to 'hesitate' in the twilight before rising (http://www.jnto.go.jp/eng/indepth/cultural/kie/moon/kie_moon_04.html) - hence why a couple lines are translated to convey this hesitance
  二度と離しはしないさと/いっそ言えたのなら - vague subject!!! either you or the speaker could be the person saying "don't let go/part ways ever again". the original idea was to have you be the speaker like "pls never let go" but!! upon reading the meaning behind izayoizuki+hesitation the if statement suddenly makes sense o(---< tHIS SONG IS KINda pAINFUL G O D
   口づけを交わそう - also another line where i applied 'hesitation' -- it could've either been translated as lit. 'it seems like we could kiss' (like in a  YO I CAN FINALLY KISS U LIKE THIS) or 'about to kiss' (how i tl'd it in the song)
   胸に秘めている - lit. hidden in my chest, but the -iru ending kinda implies the action is still being carried out, hence how i tranlsated this line
声を殺す刹那が/闇夜に浮かんだ - lit. 'the instant a voice/sob is muffled / floats through the dark night' ... kinda vague ? it's really poetic pls believe me on this... again i caNNOT DO IT JUSTICE o(--<
あなたを奪い去りたい - ubaisaru generally means 'carry' but the 'ubai' part means to steal away and i've also seen ubaisaru used in context of robberies (LOL) hence how i translated it!!
もしも許されるなら + 許されはしない - lit. 'if it were forgivable/acceptable/permittable' and 'unforgivable/etc' but in context of the song I translated the first one as the singer making a conjecture and the second one as an answer to the first \o/ aKA THIS SONG IS PRETTY COOL?? idk if paralleling them was the right choice tho orz
十六夜の空に/あなたを抱き寄せた - technically in proper english itd be 'i embraced you' first and then the whole 16th night moon stuff but i feel like having it come the line after has a different effect? ghhf

that aside, overall the feel i went with this song is the speaker and you are in some ~forbidden romance~ that goes against fate or smth, but the speaker hesitates (izayoizuki) bc they are afraid of the consequences (aka all the lines about forgiveness etc)
