BACKGROUND :
   ➣ as a child, avari oh lived easy. she was a kid who went with the flow and never really got upset. she wasn't one of those overly happy kids, though. growing up in france molded her a certain way. even if she was half korean, she was still very much french. she has a deep connection to the place, but her relationships with other people weren't the same. for as long as she can remember, she's never been one to have close friends. sure there were the neighborhood kids but she wouldn't call them her best friends or anything. even in middle school and high school, she stuck to herself. she's always just kept to herself. even her parents aren't very close. they still have a good relationship but she isn't actually close to them. so it's no surprise when moving was no biggie to avari. sure she'd miss her beautiful hometown, but she knew she'd go back someday. other than that, she had nothing to lose. she wasn't popular or had any friends she was attached to. she distanced herself from them at the beginning of high school. so the next few years in ulsan were practically no different than before. speaking korean almost all day was a big change and her sleep schedule was all over the place the first couple weeks. but eventually, the days started to merge together just like they used to.

PERSONALITY :
   ➣ avari is definitely a different character. on the outside, she's just an average girl who's a bit antisocial. however, she's not someone who's overly anxious or extremely shy. in her eyes, she doesn't need to force herself to talk to others. she's perfectly content with herself. she's not surprised or offended when other students don't know her name or even that she's another student. she actually prefers it. she doesn't have to worry about pleasing other people or hurting them. she gets along with herself the best, no one could top that. dealing with others can get pretty annoying, so she just avoids social situations altogether. even if that means she that "weird mysterious girl", she doesn't care. avari doesn't even listen to what others have to say about her, not that there's really anyone that does. honestly, no one really pays attention to her. considering her lack of friends, avari is very independent. she doesn't have anyone else to rely on, but she's perfectly content with it that way. one of her greatest fears is being too trusting. she likes it being just herself, there's no one to stab her in the back that way. she's extremely smart and can easily take care of herself. she never stutters or hesitates. she can be pretty judgy, especially with people, but she's never quick to make the judgment. she likes to have all the facts she can get before deciding anything. that being said, she's extremely opinionated and cannot be persuaded, she has all her morals set in stone. avari's a strong girl and isn't someone to mess with, she'll always win in the end. she's also pretty physically fit. she's often underestimated, but she used to play soccer and do archery. she's one tough cookie. although, she pretty soft, just with a hard edge. she loves rainy days and staying in bed, wrapped in big blankets with the television on all day. she's always down for a good adventure and can't help but get curious too. she dances in her room alone in her favorite fuzzy socks. she's read a million romance novels and plays them over in her head during boring lectures. her twitter is filled with cute dog accounts, that's she's already liked all the pictures of. avari is a sweet girl and she's not mean to anyone. she just doesn't go out of her way to make friends. she's never felt the need to. she enjoys watching others from the sideline. she's just a background character and plans to keep it that way.

HER FIRST IMPRESSION OF HIM :
   ➣ avari was very curious about lucas with all the rumors about what he was doing on the night of the murder. from what she knows he was doing something suspicious but claims it wasn't killing shin yoojin. however, he hadn't said what he was doing, he even lied to the police. too bad avari doesn't know how to stop herself from trying to get information. getting involved with the whole case was dangerous enough, but trying to get involved with lucas wong might not make things better. she's never personally talked to him but knew of his reputation and other small things from listening around campus.
     talking to him in person was quite the experience, though. which talking to him didn't quite help her with the suspect list, yet. he's tall, handsome, charismatic just like she's heard, but still has no alibi. from what she could tell, he made no attempt to lie to her, so that's a good sign, but he gave her no new information. oddly enough, though, she felt like she could trust him. just the look in his eyes made her feel that he was telling the truth about not murdering her. however, avari isn't a fan of gut feelings. she'd make a mental note to try and talk to him again.

HIS FIRST IMPRESSION OF HER :
   ➣ considering you don't hear much about avari, he had no clue who she was. even though she looked pretty korean, her name wasn't and neither was her strange accent. with all the fuss over the murder case and the lack of anyone believing him, lucas is extremely on edge. so when this avari girl approaches him and starts weirdly talking to him, he feels 10x anxious. luckily, lucas is the type of guy to try and play it cool in any situation, even when he's got a random chick poking in his business. sure, she stated from the start she's trying to help, but hell that could just be a lie. however, he's desperate to clear his name, without getting into more trouble too.
     looking at avari she seemed pretty normal, except she spoke a little funny. she had a notepad out and from the quick glance, he could get he saw his name and couple others. he couldn't read anything else but a few notes off to the side that were in korean, the rest was some other language. he didn't know what to think of her, at this point. he didn't even know she attended this school, maybe she was an undercover cop. all he knew was that she was making him feel nervous, despite showing no threats.

HOW YOU ACT AROUND EACH OTHER :

  + BEGINNING :
   ➣ with all the rumors going around, lucas hasn't been the most popular lately. therefore making him pretty easy to find around campus. unlike most the other suspects who try to avoid her at all costs. what he was doing that has been plaguing her mind since their first meeting. she really wants to know what it was if not the murder of yoojin. just watching him from a distance, she still gets that same gut feeling that he's alright, but that doesn't stop her from being extremely cautious. though, her best bet is to get him to trust her so she can learn more about him and his involvement if any.
     for lucas, this mystery girl is very worrisome. all he knows is her name and that seems to be all that anyone else knows too. he really tried to find more info about her but all he got was that she's a criminology major, and a pretty smart one. which didn't help ease his worries about her. he almost thought she could be an undercover cop, but that would be too obvious, right? she seemed pretty trustworthy and didn't look like she was pulling a prank. he just can't be too sure who to trust in this situation. even with his mixed feelings towards her, he definitely wants to be on her good side.

  + MIDDLE :
   ➣ at this point, the two have seen each other around a good bit, but haven't actually talked much. though, one night when avari was snooping around the area of the murder, she was caught by lucas. why he was there wasn't important to her at the time, she just needed him to shut up. so she shushes him from questioning her and motions him to follow her. lucas figures that if they're able to find enough information, he can clear his name. so he becomes fond of the idea of helping, rather quickly. thus the beginning of avari homes and lucas watson. avari being a little detective, and very headstrong, she takes the lead a lot and he just follows along. their relationship grows a lot and they're basically partners in crime ( trying to solve a crime ).

  + END :
   ➣ they're basically that ride or die duo. they always have each other's back and just spend lots of time together. they oddly get along great and it's quite a surprise to the both of them. he takes her everywhere he can and they discuss everything together. sure over time some feelings might have been happening but avari definitely took awhile to believe it. unlike her though, lucas is pretty normal when it came to social interactions and love so it wasn't as oblivious. however, with a murder mystery going on it was a bit hard to pursue anything until now.

RELATIONSHIP TRIVIA :

   ➣ due to her major and career plans avari usually doesn't like to break the law. however, with the circumstances she only sees it fit too because, in the end, it's for justice, right?

   ➣ avari isn't one to back down for a fight unless she knows she can't win, which in that case she'll most likely run. though, if she can manipulate the odds to be in her favor she will

CAN SHE HANDLE BLOOD?
   ➣ she's watched plenty of crimes shows and horror movies to not be phased by the blood. sure if it's splattered on her she might be a little grossed out, but other than that she's a-okay.

IS SHE A GOOD LIAR?
   ➣  she's heard a lot of talk all over campus, but as someone who doesn't have many friends, just keeps it to herself. she's never found the need to tell someone else a secret, either. therefore, avari is great at keeping secrets and lying. She only ever lies if there's a good reason to, so she's pretty good at keeping calm. She's never been one to get anxious or worried, so lying never makes her feel bad or cause her to freak out. the amount of lies she's told her parents about having friends are too many to count.
