06[16:32] * Tempest summons a wonderful, purdy looking bow of stained glass. And he doesn't care if that's not how glass works.

[16:33] <Tempest> "You're all fine aren't you Soul?"
[16:33] <Tempest> "Ready?"
[16:33] <Soul> "Wait. One more thing."
[16:34] <Soul> "Gandr. If that son of a bitch Overseer is here, once my apprentices are safe I'm going for him. You backing me up, right?"
06[16:34] * Soul nods to Gandr expectantly
06[16:34] * Gandr raises his fists, chains in hand.
[16:34] <Gandr> "Of course."
06[16:34] * Heaven wasn't spoken to but speaks up anyhow "Deathknight slaying? Count me in."
06[16:34] * Soul brofists. "All right, let's do this."
06[16:34] * Gandr brofists.
[16:35] <Gandr> "Right."
06[16:35] * Gandr gathers his wits one last time.
[16:35] <Gandr> "I'll bust the door - then we rush in."
06[16:35] * Tempest has an arrow pulled
[16:35] <Tempest> "Right
06[16:36] * Gandr takes a step back from the door, seizing it up.
06[16:36] * Gandr Architechture never was a strong point for Gandr, but anything that's built has one fundamental weakness:

06[16:36] * Gandr And Gandr is very good at destroying things.
06[16:37] * Gandr it's a bit of a sore point for him, but right now, he doesn't mind the dull ache that wanton destruction always causes in his stomach.
06[16:37] * Gandr lowers one arm and raises the other, arms and legs visibly vibrating, tensing up with the energy that powers the sun, giving life to all.
06[16:38] * Gandr All that energy, Gandr takes it and pours it into one smooth motion - first backwards, then forward in a quicksilver blur, hammering into the door with a blow that rings into the catacombs all around them like a thunderclap.

[16:40] <Clarence|ST> And start sliding down & subsequently crushing a very large set of stairs, kicking up a dust cloud

06[16:40] * Gandr lets the Sun carry him forward through the raining debris and bits of door.
06[16:40] * Soul waits only as long as it takes to see who's where. No longer.
06[16:41] * Heaven dashes forward, ready to crack the skull of the first poor soul to cross her path
[16:41] <Clarence|ST> The party finds itself surfing on black onyx doors down an exceptionally large staircase, beset at both sides by cheering Cultists.
[16:41] <Clarence|ST> It all centers around like a sort of Ampitheatre around the Six Apprentices, tied up in chain 10 meters above a pit of spikes
[16:41] <Clarence|ST> Behind them, is a portal of malevolence, sigils glowing in dark powers
[16:42] <Clarence|ST> Around it are several mortals and THE OVERSEER, attending to it's function.
[16:42] <Clarence|ST> A microphone descends from the cieling, and into The Overseer's hands. he taps it once to test it.

[16:42] <Gandr> "Yo !"
06[16:42] * Soul sees the trap and swears, realizing the kids are FUCKED
[16:42] <Heaven> "Look, a deathknight, WHATS UP BRO"
[16:43] <Tempest> "I wonder if killing one of the kids would screw up the ritual"
[16:43] <Soul> "Tempest, I will gut you for parts after this is over for that comment."
[16:43] <Heaven> "Stop talking about killing the kids, killing the deathknight would be more fun, and much more certain."
[16:44] <Tempest> "Killing death?"
[16:44] <Tempest> "I like it"
[16:44] <Gandr> "No, killing THAT GUY."
06[16:44] * Gandr does a backflip and surfs on.
[16:44] <Clarence|ST> He talks into the microphone with professional style. "We bring you here today for a very special occasion. We're summoning a new friend today. Let's make her feel welcome, Children?" He lifts his arms to the crowd, they cheer berserkly.
[16:44] <Gandr> "He ain't dead ... he's barely even alive !"
06[16:44] * Soul unsheaths his sword and begins walking towards the Deathknight, the sword pointing at him
[16:44] <Soul> "You...we have unfinished business."
[16:45] <Clarence|ST> "Hoho, Unfinished, you say?"
[16:45] <Clarence|ST> "The business has only just begun."
[16:46] <Clarence|ST> "Your lackeys up there." he points upwards.
[16:46] <Soul> "I saw them."
[16:46] <Clarence|ST> "They served as very, very nice bait.

[16:46] <Soul> "Is that all they are? Bait?"
[16:46] <Gandr> "They're not very good bait."
[16:46] <Gandr> "They're not very tasty."

06[16:46] * Heaven nods in agreement with Gandr
[16:46] <Clarence|ST> He yells into the Microphone and turns away from Soul. "BEGIN THE CEREMONY."
[16:47] <Soul> "oh HELL no"
[16:47] <Clarence|ST> The crowd starts pouring into where the solars are standing.
[16:47] <Clarence|ST> Fucking POURING
06[16:47] * Soul rushes the overseer
[16:47] <Gandr> "I got crowd control ! YOU GET THE APPRENTICES !"
[16:47] <Heaven> "Uh.. I  suggest we do something about the kids NOW, doesn't look like we're going to have much time here"
[16:48] <Heaven> "Tempest, help soul, he might need your agility there, I'll help gandr.
[16:48] <Tempest> "Will do"
06[16:58] * Heaven falls back in a stance, preparing for the onslaught (Infinite melee mastery with my last 8m of personal.. IT'S NOT MUCH, BUT IT'LL HELP UNTIL I CAN GET MORE) eyes burning with the glory of the unconquered sun himself
06[17:13] * Gandr flexes his entire body once, twice, and then once more - and on the third time, the Sun flares into the room, bleaching the floor, the ceiling, the cultists, the rusten chains bone-white. Out from behind Gandr - from whatever angle you observe -  chains of all sorts erupt,
06[17:14] * Gandr flailing and snaking their way into and out of everywhere in the room. The room was lit up before, but now it's as if the sun itself had dawned into the room, and the chains themselves make seeing clearly very difficult; everywhere you turn your eyes, there they are, menacing and deadly.
06[17:16] * Gandr himself, though, seems intent on the apprentices; he breaks into a long-legged sprint, quickly covering the distance; once he's within chaining distance, he jumps, and puts his throwing arm behind one end of the chain, throwing it in a wide arc horizontally,
06[17:17] * Gandr seeking to catch the apprentices all at once by their suspended bonds and snare them into a single loop; it's risky, but if it wasn't, it wouldn't be a challenge fit for the Sun Unconquered's Chosen.
06[17:23] * Gandr the other chain-end hooks into the old mortarwork of the suspension platform above the apprentices, pulling taut as it suddenly has to carry Gandr - and then not only Gandr but all the apprentices as well.
06[17:24] * Gandr at the apex of the jump, one chain into the ceiling and the other spinning around, Gandr follows the second chainhead around the apprentices, rounding them up and gathering them together, before letting loose the hook in the ceiling and rolling to a (hopefully) safe landing on the floor, apprentices in tow.
[17:30] <Clarence|ST> Gandr leaps, gandr grabs, and fucking yanks all the apprentices down from their hanging positions, the chains that they're hanging up by continually trailing behind them. No, they didn't snap, there just seems to be a really really really long amount of chain in the cieling they're ex-stapled to.
[17:31] <Clarence|ST> Gandr however, barrels into a wild assortment of Cultists, along with the unconcious apprentices
[17:31] <Soul> "Holy sh-!"
06[17:31] * Heaven Heaven looks up at Gandr smiling "Nice one! Suppose I'm on clean-up duty then.." focising on the crowd of cultists infront of her
06[17:31] * Soul quickly glares at the Overseer, "I'll deal with YOU...Later." and changes his course to go to their aid.
[17:32] <Clarence|ST> The Overseer inspects his fingernails.
06[17:33] * Gandr barrel-rolls onto his feet, apprentices sort-of in tow.
06[17:33] * Gandr looks at his work.
[17:33] <Gandr> "WOOO YEAH, BITCHES ! SUN UP THIS HOUSE !"
06[17:35] * Heaven air brofists Gandr "DAMN STRAIGHT"
06[17:38] * Heaven Turns her focus to the crowd of cultists infront of her dashing forward into the crowd, her heel collides heavily with the first person to cross her, then the next, then the next, she moves through the crowd like a whirlwind, her feet flurrying their way throw, bringing down person after person, the poor cultists never stood a chance;
[17:38] <Heaven> as she reaches the center she jumps into the air, spinning, bringing her heel down with a THWACK, literally going through six people; then stops, surrounded by unconcious people, glaring at those left standing "This is it? Really? How.. unimpressive." falling back into stance to continue
[17:43] <Clarence|ST> Heaven keeps slamming people, but she notices that they not only keep on coming, but run past her.
06[17:44] * Heaven looks slightly hurt that they are ignoring her "Well, that's just not nice.."
[17:44] <Clarence|ST> Shi flips out two Plasma-Tongue repeaters, and starts scorching cultists left and right. Great, now they're ON FIRE.
06[17:57] * Tempest sets his gaze on the Overseer of Glory Unsurpassed and knocks a TARGET ARROW against the stained-glass bow. "Embrace the death you so desire, coward", mutters Tempest as he looses the arrow at the Overseer. The arrow flies throught a mass of cultists, trailing crimson threads of fresh blood behind it and rocketing towards it's target.
[18:01] <Clarence|ST> The Overseer flicks his eyes towards Tempest, and grabs the arrow from the air.
[18:01] <Clarence|ST> He grins, and crushes it.
[18:02] <Clarence|ST> He locks eyes with Tempest as he circles around to behind the portal, out of sight. The bastard.
[18:05] <Clarence|ST> Lemy primes an arrow, and it splits into several missiles of destruction. They fucking annihilate the chains that the apprentices were tied with, and they disintegrate.
[18:05] <Clarence|ST> Lemy: "That's how you do it."
06[18:06] * Soul thumbs up to Lemy as he runs to said apprentices
[18:06] <Clarence|ST> Lemy thumbs up to Soul
06[18:07] * Soul rushes down to the nearest apprentice on the ground, and checks their vital signs for any abnormalities, any signs of something 'abyssal' they are afflicted with.
[18:09] <Clarence|ST> They seem to be afflicted with... Something. Small dark veins pop up occasionally over their bodies. However, they do not look like they're going to die anytime soon.
06[18:09] * Soul also tries waking them up, if that's possible
[18:12] <Soul> "Gandr, I'll cover them. You need to destroy that portal before the Overseer uses it for...whatever he's using it for."
06[18:13] * Soul stands at attention to fend off any cultists from his posse
[18:13] <Gandr> "Chains to that."
06[18:19] * Gandr gives Soul a quick look to make sure he's okay - and then he's off to other things, that being the business of finishing what the Overseer started in the swamp so long ago.
06[18:20] * Gandr runs down the length of the amphitheater,  moving to the portal, trying to find the Overseer.
[18:21] <Gandr> "Overseer !"
[18:21] <Gandr> "Come out you coward-spider !"
[18:21] <Clarence|ST> "Oh Gandr, you move away from your prime seating ?"
[18:22] <Gandr> "I have two things to beat on here, you and your ass-replacement ! You get to pick which one goes first."
[18:22] <Gandr> "Prime seating's RIGHT here, baby,"
06[18:22] * Gandr stomps the earth.
[18:22] <Clarence|ST> He pokes his head out from behind the portal. "I think you should stay and watch the show before you start mouthing off about who you're going to beat and why."
[18:22] <Gandr> "And the only show is YOU !"
[18:22] <Clarence|ST> "And now you're stomping like a bull."
[18:22] <Clarence|ST> The Overseer grins.
[18:22] <Soul> "Gandr, DESTROY THAT PORTAL BEFORE HE DOES SOMETHING!"
[18:22] <Clarence|ST> "You sure about that?"
[18:22] <Gandr> "No, you might turn out to be a no-show after all."
[18:23] <Clarence|ST> He lays hands on the portal, and the sigils start lighting.

[18:23] <Clarence|ST> Black lightning cracks, and the monolithic circle spins, first slowly, then picks up speed as it grinds in it's unholy machination.

[18:24] <Clarence|ST> "IT WORKS !!!"
06[18:24] * Gandr pirouettes once, and jumps sideways away from the portal, still staying vertically aligned with it; at the apex of the jump, Gandr hammers his chain into the obsidian stone, trying to gain purchase on the rocks
[18:26] <Clarence|ST> Gandr's efforts are for null, black lightning slamming Gandr's chains away. It's amazing that black lightning can in fact slam.
06[18:28] * Gandr pulls his body into a controlled spin - he's still pushed away harshly, but at least he's landing on his feet instead of his head (not that that makes much of a difference in the long run).
[18:29] <Clarence|ST> The Overseer grins, playing keepaway. "You're in for a treat, Gandr-boy."

[18:51] <Clarence|ST> The Portal's kicked with a ridiculous amount of force, the leg of Heaven causing it to spin faster than it was designed to go, parts of it's machination flying off of it and disintegrating into dust clouds.
[18:51] <Clarence|ST> The black lightning however, coalesces into the gateway that was needed.
[18:51] <Clarence|ST> A woman steps out of the portal, necrotic magic trailing her limbs and contours of her form as she steps out. The strands of unholy essence solidify into black funeral garb with a wrap of silk around here eyes, along with a dark, wide-brimmed straw hat draped with gauzy veils.
[18:52] <Clarence|ST> Her skin is white as bone, her hair is black as ash, those Cultists around to see her glory kneel in awe & reverence.
[18:52] <Clarence|ST> A cultist shambles forward to kiss her outstretched hand. She caresses his cheek and in an instant he dies. She looks at the glowing Solars through here black blindfold, a solid disc of blood etching itself into her forhead, soaking through.
[18:52] <Clarence|ST> The Portal explodes, and flies upwards and out of the catacombs.

06[19:19] * Gandr seems to be working himself into a frothing frenzy of some sort - it's a bit hard to tell, between the whistling FFF sound, the white foam that's starting to come out of his mouth and the muscles so tense he's shaking like a frostbite victim ...

06[19:22] * Soul ends up dropping Squid, slippery a figure as he is. He stops and attempts to reacquire the poor lad.
06[19:23] * Gandr doesn't seem to notice much of anything, really ... he's got a severe case of tunnel vision, but hey, at least now his hands are clenching and unclenching as though they want to strangle someone with two rocks - that's improvement over before.

[19:34] <Clarence|ST> If anyone bothers to look, gears behind Lemy's eyes are ticking.

06[19:36] * Tempest then proceeds to leap to safety or something to that effect

[19:55] <Clarence|ST> Each impassioned attack is greeted by cackling laughter as each swing  only moves through The Overseer as he dissapates into the shadow of Gandr's candleflame. In the last flickering attack, The Overseer appears a madly-grinning inch away from Gandr's face, and he plants his Soulsteel Hand on Gandr's face.
[19:59] <Clarence|ST> The Overseer lifts himself up, and delivers three knees in quick succession into Gandr's face, his momentum driving both of them groundwards.
06[20:06] * Gandr the moment the Overseer catches Gandr by the face, Gandr realizes two things; first, that the Overseer is a warrior of the fists, one that understands how to use his hands; and second, that he's not a warrior of the chain, that he does not know how to handle the kind of momentous energy Gandr brings to bear. The Overseer's attack is well-timed, practiced and deadly, but he's prepared to deal with the sort of spin that Gandr deals
06[20:07] * Gandr And it fucks his timing up - not much, he's a warrior after all, but enough for Gandr to twist out of the worst of it.
[20:09] <Clarence|ST> The overseer can't quite get knees planted into Gandr, but the Soulsteel glove on his face sends unwanted whispers & wails of the dead into Gandr's mind.
[20:09] <Gandr> "Take THAT for a spin and see how you lisSPLURTFFN-- the rest of it is drowned out by dirt as Gandr hits the ground facefirst.
01[20:14] <@Reclaimer> "C'mon, stupid spell! This is supposed to happen faster!"

06[20:15] * Gandr helpfully adds from the ground.
06[20:17] * Tempest leaps upwards into the hole made by the escaping portal and throws the kids upwards, using the momentum from the throw to propel himself into the wall off which he jumps out of the catacombs.
[20:17] <Clarence|ST> In case no-one noticed, the cieling is crumbling because the portal was forcefully ejected. There is a very, very large tear in the cieling, with a little bit of sunlight filtering through.
06[20:17] * Tempest also caught them.
06[20:19] * Soul whistles. "Niiiice...Tempest, get the rest of the apprentices too!"
06[20:24] * Heaven moves closer to Reclaimer, standing before her "Sorry, Kris, but I can't let that spell go off, I just can't.. I will.. -try- not to kill you." and with that, bursts into a flurry of motion, her leg sweeping kris' leg out from underneath her, followed by a quick flourish bringing her heel SHARPLY into Reclaimer's stomach as she falls, slamming her into the ground "Really sorry about this, but that spell is WAY too dangerous
06[20:24] * Soul lets the apprentices down (this takes a little too long), unsheaths his sword and heads towards the deathknights, after making sure no one's going to eat them. The apprentices that is, not the Deathknights.
[20:24] <Soul> "Lemy, cover my kids."
06[20:25] * @Reclaimer slides and weaves as best she can, but can't actually move too far out of the way from Heaven's attacks. The spell is almost complete, but if this screws it up then there might be some REAL damage!

06[20:27] * Soul starts to close in on Reclaimer, long as she's still casting.

He draws a blade, and engages unholy mechanisms to sharpen it with the screams of nihilistic despair. He poses, right leg high in the air, bat wings adorning his armoured boots. "WAKE... UP!"
