o1 first and fore most, welcome to pink flamingos! if you’ve made it this far, it’s safe to assume that you’re considering joining the crew!

02 we ask that you please choose a username that has something to do with your alias. as an example, my username is solar styles! and my alias is solar. pretty simple, right? we also ask that you don’t include major curse words- such as ‘fuck’- in your username. we also ask that your username contains nothing offense or harmful. we don’t want racism, discrimination, or hate plaguing the site. you will be deleted and banned. with this being said, every member should have just one account. if you wish to make a new account, please contact a staff member to delete your old account- if a member has more than one, they will be contacted and all but one account will be deleted. when registering, please be sure to use all caps- keeps things nice and tidy.

o3 once you register, head over to member controls and fill out your mini profile. it’s important for each member to fill out this information before they start plotting and rping. avatars should not be larger than 260 x 490 in size and be rated pg-13- this means no nudity, hate images, triggers, or violence. this includes images in your posts. other than that, avatars can be of whatever model, animal, celebrity, etc., that you want!

o4 once you’re finished with registration, we recommend you take a look at the member requests. you can start wherever you like, whether that be posting your own requests or posting in other member’s requests. we welcome you to ask the staff members in the c-box or via a private message. sometimes sandbox sites can be a bit confusing, so, we’ve been sure to put descriptions on all the request boards, and- to your convenience- we even have a site guide! hopefully all your questions can be answered there.

o5 speaking of requests, if someone proposes an idea or a plot that you’re not interested in, you are not obligated to plot with them. be polite! if a person doesn’t get back to you about a plot, please, don’t harass them! you will get a warning.

o6 after three warnings, you will be banned. we want the members of pink flamingos to feel happy and safe in their rp environment!

o7 pink flamingos doesn’t have a face claim! it’s a sandbox site, meaning you can post whatever and use whoever as many times as you want. we just ask that you avoid using deceased celebrities and anyone under the age of eighteen.

o8 when creating a thread containing mature content- i.e. smut- please place a [m] in the title. we ask that any thread containing triggering topics- i.e. rape, incest, drug abuse, abortion, etc.- are labelled with an [tw] in the title. at the beginning of your thread, the staff at pink flamingos ask that you please label your trigger warning- you only have to do it once, just so that readers have an idea what to expect and can avoid it if necessary.

o9 any form of bullying will not be tolerated. if a member is feeling unsafe, contact a staff member immediately. it’s helpful if you take screenshots- proof of the harassment- so that it’s not just he said / she said. a staff member should respond within twenty-four hours. if for some reason they do not, please message another staff member. anyone bullying will be banned immediately. it is our goal to create the safest, happiest roleplaying environment that we can. our most important rule is to be nice to people.
