  1. FACTION RULES
  2. You can choose to just be a voice from the tribe, a nameless clan chief or such, which will let you to vote on all issues however you want, the classic civ-style.
  3. You can also put on a name and create a faction. Factions must abide by a couple of simple rules.
  4. If your faction hails from outside our civilization, it must be accepted into it by vote.
  5. If your faction is native to our civilization(any of its races) you are limited to whatever knowledge, equipment and technology we have at the present.
  6. When creating a faction, give me a text that describes it nicely - if it doesn't break canon, you get the green light from me.
  7. There is one stat you need to write down and update - your assets.
  8. An example clan's assets can be
  9. >Medium amount of farmland; large cow herds;the village of Bullhorn; the great warrior, Bikk
  10.
  11. The H - Faction project option has been removed. Instead, every faction sets a project for itself that they will be doing throughout a decade. When 290/291 hits, every faction will roll a 1d100 and explain their goal - it can be supported by another faction(which, of course, means you're not doing something of your own).

  16. MAGIC RULES
  17. Every race has a natural level of magical strength. That serves as a multiplier, essentially.
  18. Magic does not come from nothing, it needs fuel - either honest prayer, sacrifice or an artefact(potions, magic items and such, which store a set amount of magical fuel). Magical power can also be granted from one being to another - the method by which the shamans of old performed their spells was sacrificing living beings to the elements and recieving their magic in return.
  19. A being's natural magic power amplifies the effectiveness of magic fuel - it is possible for humans to pray to another human, giving him magic power, but that same amount of prayer would be more effective on a deity. Same goes for sacrifices. That is why the traditional way is mutually beneficial and efficient - let's say10 units of magic fuel can only give a human 3 magic power. They can give a demon(stronger magical affinity by nature) 6 magic power, a magic being(like Wave) 8 magic power and a proper God - 10.
  20. Therefore the way of the Gods is to promise power, get sacrifice or prayer and return a portion of what was gained.
  21. Still, nothing is stopping a human from seeking magical power for himself without a God's help - you can use it however you want that way.
  22. One last thing - magic requires fuel and skill that is taught. The rites and incantations of casting a certain kind of spell vary from those of another.

  43. >History of Paitras
  44. Humans of over two dozen different tribes, hundreds of clans in total, lived in these lands over the centuries, building copper, stone and bronze tools, working the lands, warring against each other, the ogres in the west and the dwarves in the east. They worshipped the elements like us, but then their connection to the Old Gods was lost. From the dwarven mountains a trio of Fire Dragons descended and established themselves as tyrants, rulling over the various tribes and demanding riches and sacrifices.
  45. It was the words of the New Gods that saved these humans from the dragons. Prayers were offered and answers came. More started to believe and a prophet, Paiter, arose. He taught his students the magic of the Pantheon and he taught his warriors how to fight the dragons. The people of his tribe rose up and united the other nearby tribes, vanquishing the dragons and establishing the first human Kingdom. Since then they've spread out from their capital Dominas, conquering or uniting other human tribes in all directions. Today they are at peace with the dwarves and in recent decades have established contact with elven explorers, coming from a distant land in the east.
  46. The people of Paitras are devout worshippers of the Pantheon.
  47. The New Gods do not act directly, but through proxies - the priests of Paitras can use the magic of the Pantheon to help grow crops, heal wounds, strengthen the mind and body and cause damage to enemies and much more.
