Frances' Journal

Hello journal! I know this is but a collection of parchment bound together with string, glue, and leather, but Anya asked me to write "hello", as if this book is a friend of mine. Bless her heart, she always means well. Well, I suppose this will be my friend during long, dull days at work. Hopefully nobody reads this, but if they do, beware! This book is cursed with the dronings of a bored man!

Seems some hooligan has torn out pages in here. Gruffy says he hasn't touched my "procrastination book", so it must have been one of the apprentices. Some wards should keep this safe from now on, and Brago be damned if they somehow break it.

Today I died. There is no other way to explain it. Mere minutes ago I was being dragged alongside this book to be executed, then a burst of some sort of energy engulfed me. Now I sit in this serene meadow. There is no other way to explain this peaceful land.

I have explored the area. What I thought was the afterlife is actually a land called Shandalar, and what else, I am something known as a planeswalker. This is a lot for me to take in, but if what the merchant told me is true, I can return home. Maybe I can bring Anya and Lando with me to this beautiful land. We can escape Fiora and it's backstabbing fiends. We can be free.
