- 1. What does the term “Intellectual Property” mean?
- 2. What is a Patent?
- 3. How long does a patent last in Ireland?
- 4. What is a Trade Mark? Give an example from a Game box you own.

- 6. What does copyright protect?
- 7. What is not protected by copyright?
- 8. How long does copyright last?
- 9. The legal rights of copyright holders in Ireland are economic rights and more recently moral rights. List and briefly describe the three main moral rights.
- 10. Insubstantial copying, Fair Dealing, Educational uses, Libraries and Archives and Assigning & licensing rights are areas where the author of the copyrighted work cannot (theoretically) prevent the copying or other usage of his/her work. Describe two of these exemptions in your own words.
