[21:48]	GM-Mizi	[After a good night's rest, Kaguya honors the request of the two outsiders and won't make then stay longer than they wish to. Reisen is the one guiding them out of the bamboo maze, walking this time. She let them savors the eastern style nature on their own, minimizing her comment along the way. Soon enough, they reach the human settlement nearby, the largest one in Gensokyo, "Human Village".

[21:50]	Zeke	"After only half a day? I'm flattered~"
[21:50]	Reisen	"Come and visit us anytime, okay?"
[21:51]	Reisen	"Seeing the Princess being that lively is a reason I want you guys to stay."
[21:51]	Reisen	"But... well, you have your own things to do."
[21:52]	Kai	I'd really like to come back, sometime.
[21:52]	Kai	Need to watch after this guy, though.
[21:52]	Kai	points his thumb at Zeke.
[21:52]	Reisen	He's the type that you can't leave alone. Hm, hm!
[21:52]	Reisen	nods in approval.
[21:52]	Zeke	"Says HIM."
[21:53]	Kai	smirks.
[21:53]	Zeke	humphs. Does he REALLY think he's trying to kill himself?

[21:54]	Reisen	is now stuck in a super-awkward position of a relationship.
[21:54]	Reisen	"W-Well... I think I'll get on with the grocery. "

[21:55]	Reisen	steps back a bit, giving them some space.

[21:56]	GM-Kiri	[Soon enough, Reisen disappears from your sight, leaving you with the hustles and bustles of the busy village morning.]
[21:57]	Zeke	sighs. Without seeing her anymore, it's almost like a piece of the fantasy is leaving him...
[21:58]	Zeke	"Well... That's that."
[21:58]	Zeke	nods.
[21:58]	Zeke	"Nice girl. Very simple."
[21:58]	Zeke	turns the other way, looking into the village.
[21:58]	Kai	Yeah, she's nice.
[21:59]	Kai	Everyone seems to be, really.
[21:59]	Kai	Kinda crazy.
[21:59]	Kai	Well, except that one, I guess, but she's an outlier.
[21:59]	Kai	rambles for a short moment.
[21:59]	Zeke	"We got lucky. It's not gonna keep, Kai."
[21:59]	Zeke	"The longer we stay here the less we'll be given just for being 'new'."
[21:59]	Zeke	"Makes today all the more important, don't it?"
[22:00]	Kai	I guess it does.
[22:00]	Shingy	is walking down the street (current form: male). He passes you by, then turns around and gives your group a strange look.
[22:00]	Zeke	"Soo... Schoolhouse. They said that's where the historian lives. You coming?"
[22:01]	Zeke	tries not to stare back; don't act like a tourist, don't act like a tourist, don't act like a tourist...
[22:02]	Shingy	looks like a priest, with black hair, blue hakama and a white shirt, and a rather tall blue hat.
[22:03]	Kai	Sure, why not.
[22:03]	Kai	watches the unusual passerby for a short moment, then resuming normal loitering.
[22:03]	Shingy	"I couldn't help but notice your chi. It's a strange pattern, reminiscent of the world outside the Barrier."
[22:03]	Kai	Huh?
[22:04]	Shingy	"Are you in fact from the outside world?"
[22:04]	Zeke	turns to the stranger.
[22:05]	Kai	Uh, we are, actually.
[22:05]	Zeke	"I, uhh... Yes, sir. I don't have a good explanation for it, I'm afraid."
[22:05]	GM-Kiri	[After the strange man's proclamation, the passerbys starts paying attention to this two weirdly-dressing individuals. Attention starts to gather...]
[22:06]	GM-Kiri	[indecipherable whispers fills the air...]
[22:06]	Zeke	bows his head slightly as the stranger.
[22:06]	Zeke	"Pike, at your service."
[22:07]	Kai	Kai, pleased to meet you.
[22:08]	Shingy	"Good to meet you. I'm Shingyoku. Were you heading somewhere?"
[22:08]	Shingy	"You looked rather lost."
[22:09]	Zeke	"Ahh, umm, yes, actually, the schoolhouse. I've been told a historian lives there."
[22:09]	Zeke	"Rather anxious to find out what sort of a world we've wandered into, you see."
[22:11]	Shingy	"Ah, I could show you over there, and help explain. Though in a way, I too am somewhat new to this world."
[22:11]	Shingy	leads them down the street.
[22:12]	Zeke	"Much obliged."
[22:12]	Shingy	"Not in the sense of newly arrived, but I wound up nearly destroyed, and hibernated for several years to regenerate. When I awoke, things had vastly changed."
[22:13]	Zeke	nods compassionately.
[22:13]	Zeke	"It doesn't take long, does it? Amazing, I suppose."
[22:14]	Shingy	"And from what I've seen, the vast majority of the changes have been for the better."
[22:14]	Kai	Sounds like you know a good amount of history yourself.
[22:16]	Shingy	"The schoolhouse is over here." He leads them to a building that does indeed look like a one-room schoolhouse, complete with a playground next to it. "This is Keine's school. Did you know that she's started teaching young youkai as well as human children? It's amazing."
[22:17]	Kai	We're totally new here, but...
[22:17]	Kai	I got the sense that Youkai and humans were directly opposed to each other.
[22:18]	Shingy	"That has been the way it's been for generations. But it's changing for the better. And Keine has one foot in each world, so she has the respect of both humans and youkai."
[22:19]	Shingy	knocks at the door.
[22:19]	Kai	smiles.
[22:19]	Kai	That's amazing; glad to hear it.
[22:20]	Zeke	realizes that Eirin failed to mention this "Keine" was some kind of half-human..
[22:21]	Kai	hasn't guessed Keine's nature yet, and merely thinks her some kind of ambassador/teacher hybrid.
[22:24]	Zeke	tries to sort out his questions. {"Start off on the right foot, Zeke... Get it right. Don't screw this up. Learn where you are."}
[22:26]	Keine	[You hear the school bustling and hustling as a voice of reason seems to speak up, trying to hush the noisy students. You hear this pleasant voice getting more and more pronounced as she answers the door with a "Hello, may I help you?" before even seeing you all. She appears to be a lady of an average height, donning a rather modest dress with minimal frills the only thing to take of notice is her smile... and that hat.]
[22:27]	Zeke	notices the hustle and bustle inside.
[22:27]	Shingy	"Greetings, Keine. These are Pike and Kai, and they're from the outside world. They were told to visit you to learn Gensokyo's history."
[22:27]	Zeke	"If this is a bad time we can come back."
[22:28]	Keine	shakes her head and returns it with a smile.
[22:28]	Keine	Oh no. Not at all. They're all doing their own self study lesson right now.
[22:29]	Keine	motions them inside.
[22:29]	Shingy	"You'll certainly pay better attention than her usual students." He steps inside.
[22:29]	Zeke	"Much obliged, ma'am."
[22:29]	Kai	smiles in return.
[22:29]	Kai	Thank you very much.
[22:30]	Zeke	bows his head and enters, trying to act like all the kids inside aren't kind of awkward.
[22:31]	Keine	[Some of them appear to give you curious looks. some resume their studying, most are goofing off. All in all, it appears to be a normal schoolday according to her. The desks are littered in a lined matter, much similar to outside school in the olden days. There is a fairly respectable sized desk in the front and center of the room.]
[22:32]	Zeke	leans on his staff, because it is a thing to do to try and act casual, even though he's quite nervous.
[22:32]	Keine	So.. outsiders hm? What brings you to Gensokyo?
[22:33]	Kai	looks around. This is all really pretty nice.
[22:33]	Kai	Happenstance, really.
[22:33]	Keine	continues talking as she leads you to her desk.
[22:33]	Zeke	"Also known as, a mistake."
[22:34]	Kai	Well, it's no real mistake of ours.
[22:34]	Kai	Who knew walking through an ancient forest leads to mystical, forgotten lands?
[22:34]	Kai	I mean, that's totally common.
[22:34]	Kai	</sarcasm>
[22:34]	Keine	If you are looking to return back to the other world I suppose I can get in touch with someone who may be able to send you back.
[22:35]	Kai	-really?
[22:35]	Keine	...if she's not asleep.
[22:35]	Zeke	says nothing, but flashes Kai a rather strange glare.
[22:35]	Keine	makes a small pouty face, but quickly dismisses it.
[22:35]	Keine	So.. what can I help you with--oh dear.. I forgot in all this hustle to introduce myself.
[22:35]	Shingy	"You were thinking of sending them to Yukari? I was thinking of Reimu. Though of course, they might not wind up in the same part of the outside world they started in."
[22:36]	GM-Kiri	[the kids starts gathering up around them, yelling something like "Big man, big man!" or "Tell us a story!" or "I wanna pee!" or something like that. It's about to get out of control real fast.]
[22:37]	Keine	My name is Kamishirasawa Keine. I operate this school as you can see as their teacher. I also act as a guardian of this village.
[22:37]	Zeke	tells himself NOT to talk to the kids. That's how you get in trouble in a strange world.
[22:37]	Keine	tries to ignore the rambling kids as she addresses the strangers as best as she can.
[22:37]	Kai	is tempted, on the other hand... Best to leave it to the professionals, though.
[22:38]	Kai	bows in return.
[22:38]	Kai	Very pleased to meet you; I'm Kai.
[22:39]	Zeke	"Ezekiel Pike. I hope this isn't an inconvenience for you; I'm sure you were in the middle of something."
[22:39]	Keine	shakes her head again. Due to magic or witch sorcery, her hat remains perfectly still and sways with her head.
[22:39]	Keine	Not at all...though I suppose they are getting rather rowdy.
[22:40]	Kai	If you like, we can step back for a moment...
[22:40]	Kai	looks down to the kids.
[22:40]	GM-Kiri	[some of them starts tugging on the teacher's dress, some trying to climb Kai's leg, some poking at Zeke.]
[22:40]	Kai	addresses the climbers.
[22:40]	Kai	What is it?
[22:41]	Zeke	pretends not to notice.
[22:41]	Keine	Kids will be kids--oh.. .stop it..you're bothering them. One more time and I'll be forced to punish you...and what it dear?
[22:41]	Keine	says this to the one climbing Kai's leg and then addressing the one tugging on her skirt.
[22:42]	GM-Kiri	[they goes "waaai !" and runs away from Keine, giggling all the while.]
[22:42]	Shingy	, oddly enough, isn't being poked or prodded by the children.
[22:43]	Keine	[One of them mentions about Keine Sensei's painful headbutts..oh dear.]
[22:43]	Zeke	"Do you have an office, maybe? Though, I suppose class isn't over yet, hmm..."
[22:44]	Keine	Uhm... I suppose this would be better taken outside...or the room over.
[22:44]	Keine	I apologize again for the ruckus.
[22:44]	Keine	bows slightly as she attempts to lead you to another room.
[22:44]	Kai	No problem at all; thank you.
[22:45]	Zeke	follows; if she's fine leaving her class, that's fine with him too.
[22:46]	Shingy	follows as well, holding up the rear so hopefully the kids don't try to sneak in as well.
[22:46]	GM-Kiri	[without the teacher to watch over them, they sort of ran outside and play in the yard, bothering them no more.]
[22:47]	Keine	sighs as she takes to another room. Much smaller it seems, it contains several chairs and again another desk, while not as fancy serves its purpose.
[22:47]	Keine	So.. what can I help you girls and boys with?
[22:49]	Shingy	takes a seat quietly, letting the two newcomers talk.
[22:50]	Kai	Ah, real quick...
[22:50]	Kai	I know I've got longer hair than usual, but aren't all of us male?
[22:51]	Keine	Shingyoku as she and or he calls themselves exist in both genders.
[22:51]	Kai	Oh.
[22:52]	Kai	re-evaluates Shingyoku.
[22:52]	Kai	Uh, sorry, I didn't know...
[22:52]	Shingy	"I was about to say that..."
[22:52]	Shingy	impossibly changes, becoming a redheaded woman in a blue jacket, with a quartet of horns on the sides of her heads.
[22:52]	Shingy	"It's okay, you couldn't know."
[22:52]	Shingy	smiles at Kai.
[22:52]	Keine	...such is the normality of Gensokyo.
[22:52]	Keine	But... I digress this must be alot for you all.
[22:52]	Kai	can't help but chuckle slightly.
[22:52]	Kai	So it seems.
[22:53]	Keine	..so.. ahem.. like I was saying earlier. How may I help you?
[22:53]	Keine	seems calm and serene in her comment while keeping up business matter first.
[22:55]	Zeke	eyes Shingyoku strangely; the first weird thing of the day is always going to be a shock, looks like.
[22:56]	Zeke	"Well... We're here. Ain't no denying that. And as long as we're here, I feel like I'd better get a good handle on how 'here' works."
[22:57]	Kai	nods in affirmation.
[22:57]	Zeke	"Politics, sociology, history, hostilities, economy... Y'know, basic stuff."
[22:58]	Zeke	says this a little sarcastically. None of these are exactly "basic". They are at the very least not simple.
[22:58]	Keine	Hmm.. There is alot to be told here... it's all quite difficult to explain it all. So..please ask any questions you'd like and I'll add in as we go along. I think this is the best way to sate your curiousity and knowledge.
[22:59]	Zeke	"Soooo... Let's start at the beginning. Kai, do you mind? I don't wanna step on your thunder or whatever."
[22:59]	Zeke	waits for Kai's "permission".
[22:59]	Kai	Nah, just absorbing everything will be really helpful.
[22:59]	Kai	If I think of a specific question, I'll pipe in.
[22:59]	Zeke	"Thanks, bro."
[23:00]	Zeke	"So. I've heard from a hospitable source that Gensokyo is the land of discarded legends, I suppose she called it. How long has it been here?"
[23:00]	Zeke	"Like, as long as legends have existed, or...?"
[23:02]	Keine	As long as humans existed, several billions if you wish to know the general number.
[23:03]	Keine	..though.. as for Gensokyo itself?.. I'd say about 120 years...
[23:04]	Keine	...as one might have thought, we share the same world still as you outsiders. This paradise as we call Gensokyo, is merely isolated from the rest.
[23:04]	Zeke	processes the answer.
[23:05]	Zeke	"So, wait... 120 years ago is when the 'pocket' was made, then?"
[23:05]	Zeke	"The pocket Gensokyo's in, I mean. They called it a pocket in the fabric of the world."
[23:06]	Keine	Yes that's correct.
[23:06]	Keine	nods.
[23:07]	Kai	If you don't mind me asking...
[23:07]	Kai	Just how was it made?
[23:07]	Kai	Folding away space like this couldn't have been easy, or seamless...
[23:07]	Shingy	"Truth be told, it was mostly Yukari's doing. She is ridiculously powerful."
[23:09]	Kai	... One being did this?
[23:09]	Keine	The one called Yukari Yakumo constructed the border around 1885 of your world's time. And yes, she is..quite powerful.
[23:09]	Zeke	"I can see that."
[23:09]	Keine	One might even say she's a god in her own right... although a rather lazy one I might add.
[23:10]	Zeke	checks off a future question that he doesn't have to ask anymore: "How advanced is the technology in this world?"
[23:10]	Shingy	"I was constructed specifically to help guard the Hakurei barrier, and I saw it constructed. It was... quite awe-inspiring."
[23:10]	Kai	faces Shingyoku again.
[23:10]	Kai	You're a construct?
[23:11]	Kai	Like a homunculus, or something?
[23:11]	Zeke	"I can see that."
[23:11]	Shingy	"Well, more like a golem."
[23:11]	Zeke	repeats, for no good reason.
[23:11]	Keine	She/He was more or less a gatekeeper of this world...at least in the past.
[23:12]	Keine	Though... ah.. right. I suppose you wish to know more about Gensokyo other than its past?
[23:12]	Kai	I see...
[23:12]	Shingy	"As for technology... the kappa on Youkai Mountain have been building strange devices, and Sanae and her two gods originally came from the outside world, so they're bringing in technology and ideas as well."
[23:13]	Shingy	"They recently held a meeting where they talked about building something called a 'cold fusion' facility."
[23:13]	Keine	...yes for most gifted humans. Some are blessed with the power of flight. Most average humans are relegated to walking and horse carriages.
[23:14]	Kai	-Cold fusion?
[23:14]	Kai	interrupts.
[23:14]	Zeke	"I... can't see that."
[23:14]	Kai	Uh, sorry, but... Really?
[23:15]	Zeke	"Oh, wait, no... Cold Fusion IS magic. So that's fine, that's fine..."
[23:15]	Zeke	just sort of mumbles that to himself rather than saying it.
[23:16]	Shingy	"Actually, that's part of why they decided to try it. Sanae said that since it wouldn't work in the outside world, it would work in Gensokyo."
[23:16]	Kai	Wouldn't work in the outside world?
[23:17]	Kai	looks perplexed.
[23:17]	Kai	Maybe if they're using magic to stabilize it...?
[23:17]	Zeke	"Well, yeah, Kai, I mean, like, isn't cold fusion impossible?"
[23:17]	Zeke	"Conservation of energy and all that?"
[23:18]	Shingy	"Anyways, we've gotten somewhat off topic."
[23:18]	Keine	listens in, cold fusion?
[23:18]	Kai	Well, it was considered highly unlikely, and /probably/ not possible, but...
[23:18]	Kai	I mean, theoretically I could turn into a piece of talking toast, suddenly. The chance is small, though.
[23:18]	Zeke	"Well, NOW you could."
[23:19]	Kai	smirks.
[23:19]	Zeke	returns to Keine's prompt.
[23:19]	Kai	See? A little chance for everything.
[23:19]	Zeke	"I do have a question about your past, though."
[23:19]	Keine	..m-mine?
[23:20]	Keine	seems to to be taken by surprise, letting a slight blush appear on her face.
[23:20]	Zeke	"Wha? Ahh, no, no, I mean Gensokyo's! Don't worry, don't worry. Gensokyo's."
[23:20]	Keine	Oh...
[23:20]	Kai	nods, though he notes to try and visit "Faith Mountain" sometime.
[23:21]	Zeke	"Wars. I can only imagine a world of magic has had some power struggles in the past. Anything important I should know about? Old grudges, warring factions?"
[23:21]	Zeke	"Don't wanna piss off the wrong people accidentally, you know?"
[23:21]	Keine	..other than a pocket of hostility from the youkais and humans?..I'd reccommend you to stay here until I get reach someone who can send you back but if you wish to stay, I can't stop you.
[23:22]	Shingy	"I shall take responsibility for protecting them while they are here. Do not worry about their safety."
[23:22]	Zeke	"Hoh now, woah, back up, I, uhh, I didn't ask that per-se..."
[23:23]	Keine	Most hostile youkais will still appear to be bestial in nature. More reasonable ones will appear more human-like and perhaps can be reasoned with.. why might I ask?
[23:23]	Zeke	"Well, I, hmm..."
[23:24]	Zeke	is thrown off track. She didn't exactly answer the question he'd asked, but he's not sure how to steer from here...
[23:24]	Kai	I'm guessing there aren't really any major standing conflicts...?
[23:24]	Kai	tries to intuit the answer Zeke sought.
[23:25]	Shingy	"There are some conflicts between the various religious groups, but those tend to be resolved non-violently, through spellcards."
[23:25]	Zeke	"Gaah, now see, there's that word again."
[23:26]	Keine	Spellcards?
[23:26]	Kai	Yeah.
[23:26]	Zeke	"What ARE they, anyways? Yeah, like, you play a card game to settle disputes?"
[23:26]	Keine	...hmm...you mean like this?..
[23:27]	Shingy	"Actually, Keine, I was thinking of dueling you quickly to show these two what spellcards are."
[23:27]	Keine	...hmm... I..I don't mind but... is it alright?
[23:28]	Zeke	is still afraid. He is NOT playing effing Yu-Gi-Oh to decide what he's allowed to do.
[23:28]	Zeke	"Go slow. These things always end up having way too many rules and contradictions."
[23:28]	Kai	is intrigued. This... sounds like it'll be pretty serious. Hopefully not too dangerous?
[23:28]	Keine	..but..oh.. this is a spellcard Zeke.
[23:29]	Keine	hands him a spellcard that conveniently reads "Emperor of the East."
[23:30]	Zeke	looks it over. Hmm. Very impressive cardstock here. Holofoil, or something like that. Some kind of sparkly picture; are those the pips?
[23:31]	Kai	is impressed.
[23:31]	Kai	These are very artful.
[23:31]	Zeke	"Huh... Yeah. Shiny."
[23:31]	Keine	But yes.. I do not mind a quick duel.. but let us take it outside the village to avoid and possible collateral damages.
[23:31]	Zeke	"...Damage?"
[23:31]	Zeke	deadpans at them both.
[23:32]	Zeke	"It's a CARD GAME."
[23:32]	Zeke	gives the card back, in any case.
[23:32]	Keine	It's...more than that... I suppose the principle "See for yourself" applies here.
[23:32]	Keine	pockets it.
[23:33]	Zeke	squints skeptically.
[23:33]	Zeke	"...Ooooooooooooooooooo'kay?"
[23:33]	Shingy	"You'll see."
[23:33]	Kai	Lead the way, I guess.
[23:33]	Shingy	"You'll see."
[23:35]	Keine	[And so they lead the group to the outskirts of the human village, somewhere near the Forest of Magic near the the Kourindou.]
[23:36]	Shingy	takes flight, hovering about 30 feet above the ground.
[23:36]	Shingy	"I shall let you go first."
[23:37]	Zeke	is very confused.
[23:37]	Zeke	"This... Is not a card game..."
[23:38]	Zeke	hopes to high heaven this is not card games on motorbikes or any of its smelly ilk. WHY WAS THAT SEASON MADE.
[23:38]	Keine	Alright, I suppose we'll have to make this quick. First one to get hit will declare themselves the loser.
[23:39]	Shingy	"Agreed."
[23:39]	Shingy	waits for Keine to take to the sky as well.
[23:40]	Keine	takes her flight as well, she pulls out about 3 spell cards. She first unleashes "Land Sign "Three Sacred Treasures - Mirror" . The sky turns a shade darker as various spellcircles appear next to her unleashing a barrage of brightly colored bullets of all shapes and sizes.
[23:43]	Zeke	"...Wait..."
[23:43]	Zeke	"...The...?"
[23:44]	Kai	watches, amazed.
[23:44]	Zeke	"...Ummmmmmmmm..."
[23:44]	Zeke	scratches his head.
[23:45]	Shingy	starts dodging the bullets, as it wouldn't do for her to be eliminated before using her own spellcard. At a suitable point, she holds up a card and shouts, "Aura Sign [Mottled Dove]!" A black aura surrounds Keine, and black and white bullets spray out. Oddly, the black ones wink out when they hit her aura, but the white ones don't. The question is, will she notice this before the black and white lasers scissor in on her?
[23:47]	Zeke	whispers harshly so that only Kai can really hear:
[23:47]	Zeke	"...But I HATE these games!"
[23:48]	Kai	replies in a similar manner.
[23:48]	Kai	But this is really cool!
[23:48]	Zeke	sighs.
[23:49]	Keine	dodges the spell with relative ease, some of them grazing her so close you could of swore they passed through her.
[23:49]	Zeke	"It'd be easier without a joystick clotting you up anyways."
[23:49]	Keine	Hmph... It's been a while Shingyoku... I almost forgot how to weave through your pattern...
[23:49]	Zeke	"Provided you, you know... Three dimensions of movement."
[23:50]	Kai	is beaming, a little gleam in his eye.
[23:50]	Kai	Definitely.
[23:50]	Kai	By the way, did I ever tell you about my running?
[23:50]	Shingy	finds herself having to blow up the familiars launching from Keine, and gets clipped by a large bullet. Both sets of bullets vanish with a noise like a bag of rice poured through a tube.
[23:50]	Shingy	"Ow, well played, Keine. Well played."
[23:51]	Zeke	"I vaguely recall you telling me about your running."
[23:52]	Keine	It was a fun ti----
[23:52]	Blond_lass	"Psh. Running's for pussies."
[23:52]	Kai	Well, I'd sprint through crowds and stuff, and this look-wha?

[01:12]	Shingy	"Reimu Hakurei. The Shrine Maiden of Paradise. She runs the Hakurei Shrine, which oversees the Hakurei Border. She devised the Spell Card system so youkai have a chance to defeat her in battle, because if she is killed, the Barrier and Gensokyo disappear."
