♥ imagine dom painstakingly choosing the songs, designed specifically for lu. creating a cover on paint, and having to endure the harsh words from his mother telling him to quit and just go to bed already. but no, he has to make it perfect -- for lu. imagine dom printing out the cover and cutting it just right to fit the cover of the cd case. burning the cd, making sure the files were correct, and the songs played out fully. sliding the cover on, and taping it, so it would never, ever fall out. writing in sharpie on the cd 'for lu, the best neighbor a boy could have.' in curly cursive, drawing little hearts around it just for picturesque effect. putting the cd in, making sure not to scratch the disc. closing the lid, a feeling of pure joy washing over him for the girl who has so many problems -- a gift of music, to ease her day and maybe even bring on a smile. putting the cd and case into a wrapped box, as to not damage it in it's short journey across the street. laying it on the doorstep, and ringing the bell dom would hear her soft footsteps coming down the stairs, no doubtedly some curses mixed because who the hell would come ringing at three in the morning. then, hiding behind a bush, dom would watch as the door opened and tullulah stepped out, picking up the box and walking back inside. running safely home, he would walk into his room, shut the door and lean on it, wondering just how he got the beautiful girl to ever notice him. ♥
