  1. If you are a room-goer/a room regular in addition to being a mod, read this.
  2.
  3. Admin/Room Owner: Daric.
  4.
  5. Mods: Hilda | Cubone | Tojikage | Raizuke | Nova | Himawari | Bee | Trainer Serena
  6.
  7. Note: In any instance where Daric is absent for more then three days, Nova will be temporarily upgraded to Admin.
  8.
  9.
  10.
  11. 1. OOC Drama – There will be none in the room. No griping about personal problems, bitching about/arguing with another room-goer, etc. If a Mod asks you to take a discussion to PM and you fail to comply, a ban may occur for a set amount of time. Repeat offenders will be banned indefinitely until the room owner decides to allow them to return.
  12.
  13. 2. OOC Attitude – When someone asks you to stop doing something OOC, you are to respect their request and stop. Failure to comply or doing so with a vulgar or insulting attitude may result in a ban and said ban will remain in place until you talk to a Mod that banned you or the Room Owner, apologize, and show you are willing to comply. IC and OOC are two completely different things and the excuse of 'that's my character' does not hold up when Out of Character.
  14.
  15. 3. Sexual Content – Keep the showing of breasts, penis, vagina, butt, and anything else that isn't clothed in PM's. You will be asked to stop twice; failure to comply by that point will result in a temporary ban. Repeat offenders will be removed and not allowed back in until Room Owner decides otherwise. Additionally, anyone who enters the room with a vulgar username and/or sexual pictures in their profile will receive one warning to leave. Failure to comply will result in a ban. Sexual images that can be accessed via link(s) in your profile are not a bannable offense, but sexual images that are visible as soon as someone opens your profile are.
  16.
  17. 4. Roleplay Versus Out of Character – This room is primarily meant for roleplay. With this in mind, when people are roleplaying (two or more people) the room will be asked to tone down the Out of Character chatter. This doesn't mean it needs to stop; it simply means that posting picture links, YouTube links, links in general, spamming one-three words in complete caps locks (or not in caps), etc. needs to be cut down to try and not drown out posting. Mods will ask the room to calm it down as needed. Too many times in a short time span will result in those who continue to ignore this rule being warned. After the only warning the person/people will be banned until the roleplay is over. The Moderators and Room Owner have the final say in Out of Character going on in the room, so listen to them when they tell you to quiet down. Failure to stop OOC chatter once it is told to cease will result in a warning, and then a temp-ban until the mod or room owner decides to allow the offending party to return.
  18.
  19. The ONLY exception to this rule is if EVERY participant in the roleplay expresses that they don’t mind OOC stuff going on while they’re roleplaying – even then, you are meant to show your fellow room-goers respect and tone down OOC conversation when there is roleplay going on.
  20.
  21. 5. Non-Pokemon Characters – When active roleplay is not going on, non-Pokemon characters are welcome to hang out in the room while being Out of Character so long as they obey all of the rules (to include vulgar profiles). When it comes to stepping In Character they need to either adapt their characters to the universe (See Rule 12) and play within its rules. Failure to do this will result in you being asked to either step out of character, or modify your roleplay to fit in. You will be asked only once before a ban is warranted. These bans will remain until one of the above requirements is abided by. This also means changing your profile of course, meaning even if you are 'adapted' there must be hard proof through your profile to show you are rp'ing with a Pokemon alt. No 'Bleach', 'Naruto' or 'Multi-purpose' alts are to RP in the room at all, you can speak OOCly, but RP must be done with a Pokemon alt only!
  22.
  23. 6. Instigation - Which includes pushing others to ignore Moderators or rules, causing drama within the room through constant whining, complaining, OOC nonsense, spamming one-liners, disobeying the rules, and not being able to drop a subject once a moderator has told you to.
  24.
  25. 7. Harassment – If you are harassing the people in the room/moderators/room owner after you have been banned, you are subject to be permanently banned. All other forms of harassment of members will get you a ban until the admin decides otherwise. To prevent he-said-she-said stuff, logs will be required as proof if you go to a mod or the admin and claim you are being harassed. The mods and admin are here to help, but when it comes to issues like harassment, we can’t just take your word for it – that’s how drama can start.
  26.
  27. 8. Trolling – OOC trolling will not be allowed. Playful banter is one thing, but offensive or mean comments/words/phrases just to annoy another are completely different. Moderators have the final say in what they believe is trolling and what isn't, and will ask you to stop only once before a ban is warranted. Regardless of your opinion, the admin's decision goes. No ifs and no buts.
  28.
  29. 9. Ban Bypassing – If someone is banned from the room, it will now automatically ban them on all the names linked to that account's e-mail. This means that they should no longer be able to bypass being banned. If they, however, use multiple e-mails they can still get in. But that is against RPC rules ("Keep all accounts bound to a single email, or else!") and will be dealt with by greater powers (Dav, Kara, Papa Smurf, Neil Patrick Harris, etc...).
  30.
  31. 10. Staff Bans – If you have been banned by a Moderator or Room Owner, then only the Room Owner or the Moderator who banned you can decide of you shall be allowed back in the room. If someone is asking to be let back into the room, all mods are free to inform them who they were banned by, and put them in contact with that person. Under NO circumstances should the ban list be given to anyone but other mods.
  32.
  33. 11. Respect – You are to respect everyone in the room, not just the admin and mods. No making fun of another person’s writing/taking jabs at their writing – that’s rude, hurtful, and it can discourage a person from wanting to roleplay in the room, or at all. If a person has asked for pointers or constructive criticism for their writing, that’s different. However, blatant insults, along with any form of disrespect, will not be tolerated.
  34. You are also to respect the room and its mods/admin and their decisions. Calling the admin and mods names (yes, this has happened on numerous occasions in the past) because you don’t like the way they run things is inappropriate and unacceptable. The mods/admin have every right to ban you should you be nasty towards them and can unban you of their own accord, or until you apologize. If you don’t like the way the room is run, you are free to offer constructive criticism to the admin or leave, but badmouthing the room and those who take care of it is something we won’t stand for. Also if you want to offer criticism to the admin, pie is always a good thing to bring, just a heads up.
  35.
  36. Lastly, please note that respect does not just apply to this particular room. You are not to come in and start badmouthing other Pokemon rooms or other rooms on RPC, period. Offenders will be warned once; failure to comply will result in a ban for however long the issuer sees fit.
  37.
  38. 12. Human Trainers - If you wish to make a human trainer, please observe the following rules. Your trainer must be human, not a Gijinka. Gijinka are still pokemon and will still be sucked into a pokeball if it touches them. Pokemon CANNOT BE TRAINERS. There are some slight loopholes on this involving ghosts, but they are canon and thus allowed. Secondly, humans cannot know pokemon moves, have pokemon blood, or inherit pokemon abilities. Humans can know martial arts or a telepath, yes...but a trainer should not be holding his/her own against a Machoke or a Kadabra. Finally, Human trainer CANNOT HAVE NPC LEGENDARY POKEMON IN THEIR ROSTER. If you want a Legendary pokemon, you will need to convince a Gijinka in the room to let you catch them. We have had too many people with Rayquaza, Mewtwo, and Regi pokemon to ignore this any longer.
  39.
  40. 13. NPC Pokemon move limitations - NPC Pokemon in a trainer's roster can know up to 5 moves MAX. Also note that aside from event Pokemon distributed by events ran by the Room Owner and Mods, no Pokemon can have moves that it cannot naturally know. No Dittos with Recover or Ponytas with Hydro Pump, for example. If you have a question about a certain move please feel free to contact the room owner or a mod.
  41.
  42. 14. Trainer Pokemon Level limitations - NPC Pokemon in a Trainer's roster should not be overleveled. Before you make your pokemon stats, ask yourself this: "Are my pokemon stronger than the Elite Four?" Most of you will say "Yes" for some reason. Also note that MOST Elite Four members don't have a single pokemon over level 65 (Unless you count post-game rematches). As far as the room owner is concerned, Pokemon Trainer Red is one of the series' most powerful canon trainers, and his strongest pokemon is level 88. That's not to say your pokemon cannot be high-leveled, but hopefully it is backed up by RPing and plot to accompany it. Unless you can justify to a mod or room owner why your pokemon are so absurdly strong, please try to keep things to a realistic level. Also, do not try to justify overleveled pokemon by saying "Well my trainer is stronger than Red." (See Rule 15 for more) Also all Pokemon must be the correct level for the evolution stage they are at, this means no level ten Thyplosions or no level 50 Dragonites.
  43.
  44. 15. Gijinka limitations - Gijinka can know between 6-8 moves and, as you may have guessed, are able to perform them differently based on whether they are in a pokemon form or a humanoid form. As with NPC pokemon, Gijinka cannot use moves they cannot learn unless they have obtained it from an event established by the Room Owner. Gijinka should avoid setting levels for themselves above the fifties unless there is suitable backstory OR they have been caught by a trainer. Reason being: people in the room tend to grow tired of mary-sue gijinka that come in with an obnoxiously high level and talk down to everyone, only to vanish a week later because they had no one to RP with.
  45.
  46. 16. Level in Roleplay - When in an actual Roleplay, do not fall back on your level to justify whether an attack hits or not, or whether an attack can KO a pokemon. Many people use their level to indicate the level of skill their pokemon has, so such gaps in skill or power should be noted, but level is not everything in RP. If your Level 100 Magikarp splashes at a level 20 Torchic, the chicken is still gonna laugh. Bottom line: If you need to fall back on level to explain why you are right, you are likely wrong and deserve to be locked in a closet with Hotaka.
  47.
  48. 17. Alignment - Given the nature of the room and the possibility of an actual plot emerging, Gijinka and humans will soon need to put an alignment regarding their views on the gap between the races. Gijinka will need to choose between being Pro-human, Neutral, or Anti-human. Humans will have similar groups or gangs to affiliate themselves with, but this is mostly a WIP now. Expect more details soon and I mean it now!
  49.
  50. 18. Banned words - Of course, some words are just inexcusable for a room and hence all racial or homophobic words or slurrs will not be allowed in OOC or IC. This includes the 'N' word. Censor yourself or be gone, if you must have some form of discrimination then we will allow hatred for certain types or Pokemon hating humans and so on. You will be allowed one warning before you are gone. This also includes racist picture links or profiles containing such words.
  51.
  52. 19. Mega-Pokemon - We will be using the same rules applied in the game for Mega-Pokemon, Gijinka may enter this state on their own though they must of course hold the correct stone and also follow the same rules as NPC Pokemon:
  53.
  54. One Mega-Pokemon per battle.
  55. When a Mega-Pokemon has been knocked out, it reverts form.
  56. Mega-Pokemon only last for the battle they are in or in a time of dire need.
  57. Mega-Pokemon are not permanent, anyone abusing a Mega form will be banned
  58.
  59. 20. Legendary list - It's back! The new list will work like so, first of all you must have some form of history with the group, being that we will not be likely to give Legendary slots to people whom are two days into being around the group. Please if you are serious, have at least two-three weeks of active RP in the group before talking to a mod. Next, simply find a mod willing to look over your Rp. It can be of the Pokemon you want or as another alt you had before, this is simply to determine if you have what it takes skill wise to be one of the Legendary pokemon. Once you have the approval and word of a mod that you are a high enough level, they'll then tell the room owner and they shall come to see you Rp with a person of your choice. Be warned, when Rp'ing for the admin you must do so as your Pokemon of choice. Also all Legendary Pokemon must be on at least once a week, even if it's just to say hi and must Rp in the group at least a good two or three times every two weeks. Be warned, if a Legendary doesn't show up for two weeks without contacting a mod or the owner, they will be stricken from the list. We shall allow a male and a female version of each Pokemon, unless they have a set gender. In that case they may be doubled.

  113. All constructive criticism or complaints concerning the rules should be brought to Daric alone, and as soon as possible. Moderators are only enforcing what they were told to enforce. While it’s understood that not everyone will agree with these rules, it’s encouraged that constructive criticism is offered, rather than the making of a separate room – this is so possible improvement for the room is offered, and so the Pokemon “group” can be more unified. Feel free to politely ask the details of your ban, and ask to have your ban removed if you feel you will no longer repeat the offense, or understand why you were banned. Provided you are not a repeat offender, apologize for and acknowledge what you did wrong, most mods will likely unban you. Unless you insulted John Barrowman, then you shall never return.
  114.
  115. If a Moderator is treating you unfairly or in a way that is disrespectful, please let Daric know right away. While the Moderators do have the ultimate say on enforcing the rules, they are required to follow them as well and should not be abusing power or ignoring rules.
  116.
  117. If you are a moderator, read these. If not, feel free to skip these, as there’s nothing else you need to read.
  118.
  119. 1. The rules stated above apply to everyone, including the mods and admin. We are here to keep the room in order and set a good example for everyone else.
  120.
  121. 2. Part of being a mod means being around to monitor the room. If you feel you won’t be able to be around for personal reasons, notify the admin as soon as possible. Chances are you’ll be asked to step down from your position. If you don’t want to be a mod anymore, you must notify the admin prior to leaving. Mods that are unable to be present in the room at least twice within a week without any warning beforehand for an extended period of time may have their position revoked.
  122.
  123. 3. Being a mod for this room doesn’t mean you can’t explore and hang out in the other Pokemon room(s). As long as you’re doing your duties as a mod and watching the Pokemon Universe room, you may double/triple log to hang out/roleplay in the other Pokemon rooms, SO LONG AS YOU KEEP IN MIND THAT TENDING TO THE POKEMON UNIVERSE ROOM IS YOUR MAIN PRIORITY.
  124.
  125. We are also not to belittle room-goers who frequent Pokemon rooms other than ours. Where they interact with others is their decision to make; we’re just here to ensure everyone has a good time and that nothing out of line happens.
  126.
  127. 4. As stated before, no one is exempt from following the room rules. Even if it’s someone you know well and you try to excuse that person’s behavior with, “That’s just how so-and-so is,” that’s not gonna fly. Mods found letting room-goers and other mods off easy when they start disobeying rules will be dealt with accordingly.
  128.
  129. 5. Mods are to treat other mods, the admin, and room-goers with respect. Telling someone to shut up if they’re carrying an OOC conversation while a roleplay is going on or telling someone to stop bitching about something are examples of what will not be tolerated. You are to be courteous when enforcing rules AT ALL TIMES. Unless they ignore your warning, then you can feel free to rip 'em a new one before the ban hammer goes crashing in.
  130.
  131. 6. A list for all mods to follow when banning someone:
  132.
  133. Offensive picture on profile/ Error/ Small matter referring to a persons alt: Ban till the problem is sorted.
  134. Minor issue/ Moderate issue with genuine apology: 1-2 day ban.
  135. Minor issue (Second offense)/ Moderate issue/ Non-directive Racism: 3-4 day ban.
  136. Major issue/ Directive Racism/ Insulting a mod: 5-7 day ban.
  137. Second offense of any of the above: Permanent till further notice of the mod whom banned you, this entails trolling.
  138.
  139. These are the guidelines, but at the end of the day it is up to the mod who banned you to decide when you get out. If you cause such a problem that they never want you in the room again, that will be the final call.
