Some, not all, players are sad/angry/disappointed because Blizzard announced the news a Friday, with a simple tweet, after months of having us think these cities were ours, after seeing videos of them on the Alpha, on Beta day, and after knowing for months that they were not gonna use them.
Players know that stuff changes since Blizzcon, but this is major stuff, and Blizzard knew about it and chose not to reveal it for a long time. Today we're angry because we don't want to have a wannabe new hub, aka domination point architecture or 5.1 village. We're talking about 6.0. We're paying to get something new, something we've been looking for since Blizzcon. We want to hang out in a beautiful city not a normal Human/Orcish camp. That's it.

Solutions to the issue:

[li]Make Temple of Karabor and Bladespire Citadel our Capital Cities again like it was proposed at Blizzcon and till the 27th of June 2014.[/li][li]Make the Faction Hubs in Ashran PvP capitals by adding PvP vendors, Training Dummies, PvP Weekly/Quests/Dailies and Portal to Karabor/Bladespire. K an BDC will be PvE Capitals or Main Capital Cities on Draenor.[/li][li]Why not have both? Make Karabor, Bladepsire Citadel and Ashran Faction Hubs, Cities where we can find all features we need.[/li][ul] [/ul]

Ashran is a PvP zone, and though you aren't auto-flagged in the "cities" themselves, you will be if you step out of them onto Ashran itself, regardless of server type. The "Don't flag me ever" toggle is in, but they haven't stated whether or not Ashran's nature will override it.
