  1. Given the events of last night and early this morning I would like to open a discussion of the current loot rules and the issues that they entail. After receiving many whispers i think its important to get raiders and officers opinions on possible changed that could be incorperated before foundry drops. Knowing that some of us have felt problems with the currrent Lowest ilvl gets the gear, I was initially hesitant to opening the discussion seeming as I have acquired this stigma of being the most geared player in raid; and out of fear of being called a lootwhore I was hoping this would resolve itself.

  3. A few points I would like to make before getting into the issue, I would like to just say that I would hate to be in your position Maanu. Although I don't feel its elitist to expect people to do everything they can for raids (Especially considering this is classed as a Mythic Progression team) I know i wouldnt want the position of being in the midst of this. Unfortunately this is where I address the elephant in the room which is Gloober's Trinket situation. I would like to mention that no one is doubting your capability as a raider Gloober as is evident in the metres. I am questioning however your Raiding mentality which is What can this guild do for me not what can I do for this guild. Being there are so many ways for you to replace those pieces (Pvp trinkets (literally takes an hour), Spend 50k on upgrades (given your big purchase this morning), come to wednesday nights, pug a normal/heroic run (not asking you to clear it but its so easy to pug a tectus/brackenspore kill)). And yet you say Im selfish complaining about loot when Ive had 100% attendance and done literally everything I can to maximise my output each week including all of the options I just presented to you. One last thing on this topic, I would like to know how you would feel when you know you have no chance of any upgrades for well over 3 weeks. Which leads me to my next topic

  5. The overall issue i would like to discuss and hopefully resolve is the 'Biggest upgrade mentallity' of our loot system. The overall problem with this loot system which has been talked about often is the fact that least effort results in the most reward. This became obvious the first time when the early CM groups obviously had high ilvl pieces compared to the rest. Although there was other issues of people having difficulties forming teams, this quickly lead to the CM teams getting shafted on most upgrades. I believe I can safely say that the most skilled players and those that did everything within their power to be ready for raiding (and strangly those that still maintain 100% attendance) were in those teams (not all, but most).

  7. Im to believe that there has been discussion before amongst the officers about potentially changing the loot rules to EPGP. For those that dont know it is basically DKP but you gain points on attendance not boss kills. I would like for us as a guild to discuss openly as personally I feel this to be a fairer system. I know i dont want to be inelligable for loot everytime we get a new plate dps whose ilvl is low (obviously within reason, say if a WF heroic drops and i already have the heroic version denying the new recruit the 30-40ilvl upgrade is just rude). This isnt meant to sound malicious towards any of the recruits (Im really happy with Giggle and Morphious's ability to gear up by doing arenas with myself) this is just feedback Ive gotten from people who have put in the most time, effort and have the highest raid attendance in the guild. With attendance being the biggest issue right now having a loot system which is based around peoples attendance might actually kill two birds with one stone.

  9. The downfalls of EPGP are obviously people forgoing upgrades in hopes of better pieces down the line. However, I believe that people are already exploiting that with the current loot system. Forgoing the Prismatic socket heroic piece because we are about to kill it on mythic and they wont get a chance to roll if it drops because others have the heroic stock standard version.

  11. However if EPGP is too problematic for people I think I believe there are alternitives. I dont often credit War Rocket Ajax for many good things but what I do like about their raiding is their loot system. Basically working the same way as we do now with loot counsil however each person gets 1 piece a week before people start getting a second. For example Morph, Gloober, Giggle and I roll against eachother on a Plate Chest piece and we all whisper Leth with our current pieces. Giggle gains the most from the gear so he wins it. The next boss a 2 plate helms drop. We all need it but giggle has already won something for the week so he isnt elligable. Gloober and Morph both win the helms as the gain the most. The last boss drops 2 plate gloves. Powerslave is the only one who is elligable and actually needs it so he wins. Then gloober, morph and giggle all need on the last glove and the person who gains the most wins it
