if you live somewhere decent in the entire world you'll have tons of information from the ppl like when you can take a bath, not to smoke, normal thing and complications etc. this is just extra stuff.

pregnancy stuff:

i had really bad morning sickness (really, really bad). helpful things for me were:

- NEVER be totally hungry or you’ll just dry heave. hunger is the WORST thing for nausea.
- when you wake up eat bread. ppl say crackers but bread is a lifesaver
- me ed friends: i lost the weight i gained eating to help w/ the morning sickness in like 2 weeks.... its worth it
- buy something smells good and carry it with you... wax warmer wax type stuff. good for blocking out smells
- vitamin b6
- your nips get huge and your areolas get huge and it's wild. i promise your nips will go back to normal after. i swear to god
- even early pregnancy you have to pee all the time and you're exhausted

there's really not much on the pregnancy thing. if you are pregnant for more than a month just be prepared for the weirdness of your body changing

before procedure stuff:

-buy pads, make sure you have stretchy type pants or leggings and tylenol. a ride home or a taxi because you can't drive.

actual procedure stuff: (again this is all personal experience so)

- they give you an ultrasound. its cold.
- it doesn't really hurt, but it doesn't feel good. twingy cramps.
- it doesn't last nearly as long as you expect. i hung out in the recovery room for 3x the amount of time it took.
- bring your own clothes if you can, scooting around in my cat nightgown and fuzzy socks felt less uh, sterile
- !!! shit nobody told me !!! you bleed immediately after. light red surface bleeding type blood. its scary and drippy and not like period blood. they'll either give you a pad or have you put one of your own on immediately after the procedure. don't change your underwear for an hour or two.
- you're only stoned from the painkiller for like 2 hours. it's kind of a letdown.
- you'll most likely get a prescription for a one time antibiotic. get it filled on the way home if you can. mine was like 4 bucks and took 5 mins
- you might bleed a lot or you might bleed a little. be prepared for the former and be prepared that you might bleed, stop bleeding and bleed again later.
- everyone tries to be like "abortion is inherently traumatic". it might be or it might not be but try your very hardest to ignore everyone and figure out how you feel about it personally w/o their input
- there's lots of support that isn't necessarily calling a hotline. facebook groups and reddit and forums and all sorts of things
