  1. h0odini (8/23/16 10:03:22 PM): His voice physically hurt her, and Finch didn't know what to say. 'You shouldn't be out by the highway' resonated in her skull. Why did he care, she'd ended it. After what had happened she'd assumed he felt nothing. Hell, she hoped he felt nothing, maybe that would remove some of the guilt she'd suffered after she'd... No. Finch took in a deep breath again, glancing away from him and toward where she wanted to be. "I'll be fine, Tacitus. Thank you for your concern." She said softly, afraid that if she spoke any louder she'd break down right then and there. God knew how that would go. Pausing for a few moments longer Finch spoke again, dropping her head down and chancing a look at the male. Her male. "You should go back to the pack."

  3. heda (8/23/16 10:11:27 PM): He didn't move, he didn't budge, there wasn't even a noticable twitch. Even the rise and fall of his chest as he breathed was hard to catch, partially because the darkness of the night concealed most of his movements. The only thing easy to see was the constant flicking of his eyes, which glowed due to how the light of the moon was captured. Glancing at Finch then off behind her his gaze was constantly sweeping, almost like he was watching her back, standing guard even though nothing was out there. /You should go back to the back/ her voice was processed in his head as she spoke, and Tacitus immediately picked up on the difference of tone she used. She sounded so small, so...different. If he had allowed it, a whine would had left his jaws at the realization that she had changed since he had lost seen her, which was to be expected he supposed. "Not until you go."

  5. h0odini (8/23/16 10:18:51 PM): She paused once again, not knowing what to say, not knowing how to proceed. She supposed she could snarl at him, yell horrible things until he just left her alone... But Finch couldn't do that. If she hurt him again... Her chest siexed up and it took everything Finch had not to let out a sob right there. What the hell was she doing... She was supposed to be strong, be a Superior and leader. Be the one her members aspired to be... But she couldn't do that. Not now. Not without Tacitus. He was her light, her everything, and the more she thought about it the more she wanted to just run and press herself into him, be back in his warmth. Finch didn't care what he had said to her at this point, she just wanted him back. She said none of that though, revealed nothing. Merely whispered, "No." into the still air.-

  7. heda (8/23/16 10:24:58 PM): /No/ the word sent his mind racing, the loud 'thump, thump, thump,' of his heart beating being the only thing his ears pick up on. And that heart son swelled in panic, and fear, and complete worry which he never knew he was capable of. All these emotions were some the male never felt before, and in all truth it was terrifying. His tail fell quickly to his paws, the tip twitching ever so slightly due to the nerves that also ran through his body. "No...What do you mean no?" he asked, though he knew what she meant. She had meant she wasn't returning to the territory, she wasn't coming home. Not knowing if he should or not, Tacitus risked taking a step forward, though as he did so bis body lowered. "Finch, come on let's go."

  9. h0odini (8/23/16 10:32:36 PM): "No." She said the word again, feeling it stronger on her tongue. "No." Finch said it once more, shaking her head and giving herself the will to move, and move she did. Forward, away from him, toward the highway. She couldn't go back, not without knowing that she wouldn't have to look at him and feel her mistake every damned day. Every moment when he looked at a few female, every bloody second when they were together, like she used to be. The thought made her literally want to vomit, and it was all Finch could do to keep it inside. "I have to go." She whispered so softly it was like she was talking to herself. It was then that she paused once more, for what felt like the millionth time that night, and stared at her pause. She had to apologize, had to burst out her sorries in one last go so that he knew she never meant it, she loved him, and would have killed to have been a parent with him.-

  11. heda (8/23/16 10:42:23 PM): Again there was the word he was growing to dislike more and more, and for good reason too. He rather hear her respond with 'alright,' or 'yes', any form of agreement to let him know she was coming back with him. But that wasn't the answer her got. Standing there frozen his mind ran over possible solutions of have to fix this, of how to get her back. Back home, back to her family, back to being the one who his heart demanded to be with. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if she left, even just thinking it now caused his stomach to turn in disgust. The thought of another male touching her or being with her, he wouldn't allow it. Snapping his head upwards, he watched as she began to walk off towards the highway. "No," he said the word out loud this time, the strength and power behind it some what intimidating, and maybe even a little frightening. Without giving her the chance to get far he moved forwards, the length of his strides increasing as he broke into a run. Once he was a distance infront of her he would dig his heels into the ground, stopping right before Finch and blocking her path. "I can't let you go."

  13. h0odini (8/23/16 10:58:59 PM): The sound of footfalls was the last thing she was expecting and when the form of Tacitus was suddenly right infront of her, Finch didn't know how to react. He was closer to her than they'd been in days and Finch couldn't move. Her breath caught in her throat and for the first time in quite awhile she looked up to meet his eyes. Those beautiful, gorgeous eyes that she'd come to care for more than her own being. Her words came out in a short breath, and Finch could feel herself crack. "You need to." She took in a shuttery breath, not thinking she'd be able to say much more but then it all flew out at once, and she was struggling to say everything she wanted to. "I'm so sorry baby. I shouldn't have said what I did, I don't want to be without you," at this point she was sobbing, but the words kept coming. "I can't stay here, I can't bear seeing you, knowing that I ****** up probably the best thing that's ever happened to me." She wanted to touch him, move toward the male and just feel his warmth again but she couldn't GOD she couldn't.-
  14.
  15. heda (8/23/16 11:07:09 PM): There were hundreds of different ways to how she could have reacted to him blocking her. She could have snapped out of anger, turned and ran the other way. Hell, he wouldn't have been surprised if she had stood her ground. But this, he didn't expect. At first he didn't know how to respond to all she was saying, but when tears poured from her eyes he did the only thing that felt right. He went to her. One second he was a good few feet away from Finch, and the next he was at her side, his tongue rasping along her cheeks and under her eyes, wiping at the tears that soaked into her fur. "No please don't apologize. Baby listen to me," he begged her, looking up through hooded lids and grabbing hold of her gaze. "You did not **** up my love, you did nothing wrong. It was me, me and my attitude." How could he make this right, how could he convince her?
  16.
  17. h0odini (8/23/16 11:12:06 PM): She craved his touch, it was wonderful and something she hadn't had in... God it felt like forever. Finch craced every moment of it though, moving into his touch desperately. Then she heard what he was saying and her heart melted. 'my love', she wanted to hear him say it again, whisper it to her over and over but she didn't dare ask for that, not now, not when things still weren't right. "If anything it was the both of us, I shouldn't have ended it I should have talked it out with you." Finch choked out, moving forward to press herself into him. She breathed in his scent like it was a drug, and gods, nothing felt close enough.-
  18.
  19. heda (8/23/16 11:18:09 PM): Never had he allowed himself to feel so weak, with anyone. He often kept it bottled inside, refusing to let his weaknesses surface and become known to the rest of the pack. That day when he snapped at her, broke that bottle that he kept under lock and key, allowing those emotions and feelings that he considered 'weak' to finally grow attached to him. Shoving his face into her fur he inhaled, the familiarity of his ma--of Finch relaxing even the most tense of muscles. "No you shouldn't have. I turned on you. I took something you trusted me in never judging, something that made you vulnerable, and I used it against you. I never should have done, ****, Finch I never should have said anything." Pulling back he sought to see what she was thinking, wishing her eyes would give any sign of how she felt.

  21. h0odini (8/23/16 11:24:47 PM): As if she knew he was looking Finch closed them, tilting her head downwards in an attempt to shield herself from his view. In almost an instant though that changed. She couldn't hide herself from him, keep her emotions a secret until they finally blew up. He needed to know her, see her, and so Finch opened up. Finally locking eyes with him Finch let the tears fall out of her blue eyes, trying to emphasize the emotions within. The pain, the horrible, horrible loneliness she'd been through even those few days without him. He'd become her everything, her soul and to be apart tore Finch to pieces. She needed him like she needed air and his words touched her like no others could. "It's alright, my lovely. I forgive you, I challenged you and we did things we shouldn't have, said things we shouldn't have. From now on, we'll talk about it, talk about us and I won't make rash decision anymore I swear."
  22.
  23. heda (8/23/16 11:30:11 PM): As a silence between them he couldn't help but think, what would have happened if he hadn't been out here tonight? What if he had been a few hundred meters away at a different area of the highway? What would have happened if she never ran into him? Thinking about ti caused a shiver to run down his spine, him noticeably shaking from the horrific thought of losing her. His mate, his Finch. When her eyes met his just as those silent minutes came to a close, he caught the tears the fell from the corners of her eyes. It hurt seeing her this way, but it hurt even more knowing he was the cause of those tears. Whimpering, he openly let her know the amount of sadness and guilt he was feeling, there being no point in hiding it anymore. "I forgive you, and know that I will never let this happen, never again."
