  3. 11:39 PM So basic rules: a fleet can move along coastal and sea tiles, an army can move on land tiles
  4. 11:40 PM Your goal is to control as many supply centers (the tiles with the little dots) as possible, and holding 18 wins you the game
  5. 11:41 PM If you are holding a supply center a the end of fall which does not belong to you, that tile will be awarded to you and taken from whomever it previously belonged to (unless it was neutral - in the early moves most grabs are for neutral territory)
  6. 11:43 PM Every army and fleet are equally strong. Therefore, if who armies or army/fleet combination attempts to move into the same tile (which is empty) neither will be able to enter.
  7. 11:45 PM However there are mechanics known as supporting. A unit can support a movementThe convoy is a mechanic where a fleet carries an army across the sea. The fleet must be in a sea tile and the convoy is interrupted if the fleet is attacked during that turn. A convoy move, despite using two units, only carries the strength of one. Multiple ships can chain to convoy a single unit to a greater distance, but even multiple fleets cannot convoy multiple units simultaneously.
  8. 11:51 PM When a greater force moves into a lesser one, the movement is completed. In a turn between the phases known as the retreating phase, any units which were bullied out of their previous position will be asked to choose an adjacent tile to retreat to. If that unit has no valid path of retreat, it will be destroyed. A unit cannotetreat to the tile fro, which the attacking piece originates.
  9. 11:54 PM A support can be interrupted from the attack of another piece on the supporting piece. However, if the piece which is attacking is attacked then the attack will still carry the force of the attacking piece as well as the supporting pieces. If the tile from which the attacking piece originates is not defended by yet another piece, then the piece which attacked the supported attacking piece will simply slip in. into a tile to which the supporting unit is adjacent. Again, a unit must be adjacent to the destination, not the origin, to support a movement. You can also support the hold of a unit, and need only be adjacent to the unit holding. (holding being making no moves)
  10. 11:57 PM There are two movement phases, Spring and Fall, during which all player pieces can move. During the retreating phase only dislodged pieces may move, and during the winter phase you may build new units up to the count of the number of supply centers owned by you at the end of the previous fall, and only in your home supply centers (the ones you have at game start) which are not currently occupied. A coastal province can build both fleets and armies; an inland province only armies.
  11. 12:01 AM You gain a supply center by occupying at the end of the fall season. If you move into a supply center in spring and leave at fall, you will not gain that supply center. Likewise, if you are dislodged from a supply center at the end of fall you will not gain/lose that supply center. A supply center which already belongs to you need not be occupied by you at fall, but will be lost if another country's units currently occupy it a the end of fall.
  12. 12:04 AM The game starts at spring 01, hereby refered to as S01. Then F01, then S02, etc...
