  1. [Overview]
  2.
  3. Awesome offensive Pokemon in NU
  4. Good mixed attacking stats, bulk, and lack of weaknesses make it great
  5. Awesome coverage
  6. Slow, but can use that to its advantage through slow U-turn or Volt Switch
  7. Bulk and lack of weaknesses are less impressive with few resistances
  8.
  9. [SET]
  10. name: Ebeltross
  11. move 1: Thunderbolt
  12. move 2: Superpower
  13. move 3: Flamethrower
  14. move 4: Giga Drain
  15. item: Expert Belt
  16. ability: Levitate
  17. nature: Rash
  18. evs: 140 Atk / 244 SAtk / 124 Spe
  19.
  20. [SET COMMENTS]
  21.
  22. One of its most successful sets
  23. Takes advantage of awesome mixed attacking stats to break through almost every wall and tank in the tier
  24. Effective lure; if you need a particular special wall gone, spam special attacks until they switch in their special wall, vice-versa for physical walls
  25. Thunderbolt for best STAB and to beat bulky Waters (mola, mantine, etc)
  26. Superpower nails almost every special wall/tank in the tier and v strong
  27. Flamethrower to hit Grass-types like Tangela and Vileplume
  28. Giga Drain to hit Ground-types such as Seimitoad and Piloswine
  29.
  30. [ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
  31.
  32. Speed outspeeds Alomomola, max SpA, and enough Atk to 2HKO common special walls, such as Regice, Lickilicky, Audino, and Zweilous, w/ Superpower
  33. Bulkier spread of 112 HP / 140 Atk / 248 SAtk / 8 Spd is an option to take hits a bit better if you don't care about outspeeding Alomomola and co.
  34. Always Ebelt because LO only helps secure 2HKO against Altaria w/ Thunderbolt without Rocks up, otherwise pretty much useless
  35. Anything that hates walls (especially special walls) loves this set being around; Ludicolo, Carracosta, Jynx, etc
  36. Spikes support needed to 2HKO Piloswine and Roselia and OHKO specially defensive Seismitoad; Scolipede and Roselia make good partners for this, with Eelektross taking Flying-type attacks aimed at them
  37. Stealth Rock helps get the OHKO on Articuno, Lapras, and Regice; Golem and Seismitoad are both good offensive setters that can keep up momentum for your team while getting up hazards
  38. This set still struggles to bring down the occasional Dragon-type, such as Altaria or Shelgon; Jynx can KO them pretty easily and outspeed after a Dragon Dance from offensive variants
  39.
  40. [SET]
  41. name: Special Attacker
  42. move 1: Volt Switch
  43. move 2: Giga Drain
  44. move 3: Flamethrower
  45. move 4: Thunderbolt
  46. item: Choice Specs / Leftovers
  47. ability: Levitate
  48. nature: Modest
  49. evs: 172 HP / 252 SpA / 84 Spe
  50.
  51. [SET COMMENTS]
  52.
  53. This set uses Eel's awesome special movepool and above average SpA to its advantage
  54. Plays as a hard-hitting attacker/slow scout
  55. Volt Switch gives good offensive momentum and can bring in offensive Pokemon safely without having to bring them in on a revenge or predicted double switch
  56. Giga Drain lets Eelektross take down the Ground-types that want to stop it from Volt Switch-ing
  57. Flamethrower takes down Grass-types that resist its STAB
  58. Thunderbolt for a more reliable STAB to spam
  59.
  60. [ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
  61.
  62. Given spread allows Eelektross to outspeed 0 Spe Tangela and avoid a Sleep Powder, though you can use a spread of 132 HP / 252 SpA / 124 Spe to outspeed 0 Spe Alomomola
  63. Choice Specs can be used for a much greater boost power, but Leftovers help it live longer and give it a way of beating Ground-types that switch into Volt Switch without prediction
  64. Expert Belt
  65. HP Ice
  66. Acid Spray to give special walls a really hard time
  67. Swellow, Zangoose, and Ursaring appreciate Eel's slow Volt Switch so they can come in safely to activate their status orbs
  68. Other VoltTurn users are also nice to help keep up momentum; Primeape, Swellow, Probopass, etc can all do this well
  69. Struggles to muscle past common special walls (Lickilicky and Audino, Bastiodon and Probopass), so strong Fighting-types such as Gurdurr or Sawk can beat them
  70.
  71. [SET]
  72. name: Physical Attacker
  73. move 1: U-turn
  74. move 2: Thunderpunch
  75. move 3: Superpower / Drain Punch
  76. move 4: Aqua Tail
  77. item: Choice Band / Expert Belt
  78. ability: Levitate
  79. nature: Adamant
  80. evs: 132 HP / 252 Atk / 124 Spe
  81.
  82. [SET COMMENTS]
  83.
  84. Uses awesome physical atk to its advantage
  85. Coverage options aren't AS good, but still v good
  86. U-turn can't be stopped by Ground-types, so even better at getting momentum
  87. Thunderpunch for STAB and good BP without recoil
  88. Superpower for POWER but Drain Punch works for recovery and if you don't want any stat drops forcing you to switch
  89. Aqua Tail hits Ground-types that keep it from spamming its STAB
  90.
  91. [ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
  92.
  93. EVs outspeed 0 Speed Alomomola with the rest thrown in bulk and Atk
  94. Choice Band for extra power, since it can't rely on super-effective coverage as well as other sets can
  95. Expert Belt can still be used to lure in Ground-types and beat them with Aqua Tail
  96. Crunch>Aqua Tail for better coverage against Grass-types—notable Exeggutor—and overall better neutral coverage, though beating Ground-types is pretty important
  97. Wild Charge>Thunderpunch for more power, but then you kill yourself vs Alomomola
  98. Even with Aqua Tail, Ground-types are still a problem, especially Seismitoad and Torterra, making Pokemon such as Serperior or Jynx good partners to take care of them
  99. Once again Eel serves as a good slow scout, so Swellow, Ursaring, and Zangoose appreciate getting their status orbs activated through a slow U-turn
  100. Certain physical walls—Tangela, Seismitoad, etc—can still wall this set fairly well, meaning strong special attackers, such as Charizard and Exeggutor, can help defeat these Pokemon
  101.
  102. [Other Options]
  103.
  104. Not a whole lot; has awesome coverage but that’s been covered
  105. Coil, though it usually prefers the immediate power of the other sets
  106. Zap Cannon + Coil is bad
  107. Acrobatics to beat Grass-types, but it prefers a more beneficial item
  108. Rock Slide, does little for coverage
  109. Knock Off
  110. Thunder Wave/Toxic
  111.
  112. [Checks and Counters]
  113.
  114. Hard to directly counter, since it’s strong and a bit unpredictable
  115. Easiest way to beat it is to outspeed/revenge kill it, but mostly just to keep up offensive momentum so as never to give it a free switch
  116. Choice Specs/Band users (Sawk, Charizard, etc) can hit it super hard
  117. Dragonair and Shelgon are the closest things to an all-around counter
  118. Camerupt, Ampharos, and Zweilous can wall the special set well
  119. Lickilicky and Audino can come in on any move from the special set and stay in and wall non-Choice Specs variants and pivot out into those that are
  120. Fraxure can set up on special set
  121. Torterra, Tangela, Seismitoad can all wall physical set pretty well, but all but Tangela dislike the passive damage from U-turn
