  1. [8/21/2016 12:30:31 PM] Aurelia Alder: I apologize for the delay
  2. [8/21/2016 12:30:46 PM] Aurelia Alder: Welcome to this month's live chat, which will now run longer to make up for technical difficulties!
  3. [8/21/2016 12:30:53 PM] Aurelia Alder: Skype often gives me trouble on devices, so I am now on my desktop.
  4. [8/21/2016 12:31:17 PM] Aurelia Alder: Anyone may speak at any time, and I'll also be fielding some questions I was emailed.
  5. [8/21/2016 12:31:25 PM] Nick .: No problem. Glad to be here.
  6. [8/21/2016 12:31:56 PM] Lucidair: It’s wonderful to meet you, Ms. Alder.
  7. [8/21/2016 12:32:36 PM] Aurelia Alder: An absolute pleasure for me as well. I've been writing a new piece today, too, so you will have some new ways to "meet" me soon
  8. [8/21/2016 12:32:54 PM] Nick .: ok - I'll throw out my main question... How did you get here? That is, what experiences or events in your life led you to be an Erotic Hypnotist? And interested in BDSM as well? You're very good at what you do, so just curious what led you to this point.
  9. [8/21/2016 12:36:25 PM] Aurelia Alder: Interest, and enjoyment, primarily.
  10. [8/21/2016 12:36:36 PM] Aurelia Alder: I was naturally curious about mind control when a partner first mentioned listening to audios.
  11. [8/21/2016 12:37:03 PM] Aurelia Alder: This is how we've arrived here in terms of my audios, of course, but I have also been interested in SM and dominance because of the pleasure they grant both I, and others.
  12. [8/21/2016 12:37:40 PM] Aurelia Alder: From there, it is not much of a leap to combining the two, since people associate hypnotic trance with submission anyway. This said, they are not always one and the same.
  13. [8/21/2016 12:38:26 PM] Lucidair: I find your range covering both pure Hypnofetish and more conventional BDSM themes quite fascinating.
  14. Actually, very few hypnodommes celebrate Hypnofetish as you do.
  15. I like that very much.
  16. [8/21/2016 12:39:31 PM] Nick .: Interesting. Yes they do go well together. I was first interested in submission before finding hypnosis. And I agree with Lucidair... your combination of those is fascinating.
  17. [8/21/2016 12:39:32 PM] Aurelia Alder: The fetish for hypnosis itself is where I began, rather than with the trappings of conventional dungeon dominance.
  18. [8/21/2016 12:39:58 PM] Aurelia Alder: And I do know there are others doing the same sort of audio, which focuses on trance itself as the point of arousal.
  19. [8/21/2016 12:40:12 PM] Aurelia Alder: The piece I've worked on today is about the classic stiff-as-a-board frozen body trance theme
  20. [8/21/2016 12:40:27 PM] Aurelia Alder: But then I've also made a number of add ons to address what will be done to a listener, what I will do, when they are stilled.
  21. [8/21/2016 12:43:53 PM] Lucidair: You describe yourself as "mildly sadistic". What does that mean for you? In which ways are you sadistic and in which not?
  22. [8/21/2016 12:50:18 PM] Aurelia Alder: Hmm, well, for me it means - I enjoy pain in a sexual context. It's a giggly-happy-thrill and rush of power sort of pleasure.
  23. [8/21/2016 12:51:51 PM] Aurelia Alder: Some doms enjoy extreme pain play - things like absolutely going all in on torturing a willing subject. This isn't as much my thing. I enjoy pain that stretches someone's limits.
  24. [8/21/2016 12:52:32 PM] Aurelia Alder: I enjoy experimenting with sensation, pushing a subject, the process of making them learn to enjoy something they thought they wouldn't otherwise, and the deep state of submission that some pain can create.
  25. [8/21/2016 12:53:48 PM] Aurelia Alder: To some degree, I do enjoy the idea of extreme pain play, but the reality is messy, complicated, and does involve a higher degree of risk even if you are extremely experienced.
  26. [8/21/2016 12:54:27 PM] Aurelia Alder: So, it is not something I personally practice, or am sadistic enough in that way to feel a strong urge to practice.
  27. [8/21/2016 12:56:27 PM] Lucidair: For one side, it might be a rush of power, for the other powerful pleasure. Usually, for being able to really transform pain into pleasure, I absolutely need the warm care of the dominant part. For me, it’s also very much related to hypnosis in the sense that it’s a wonderful journey of discovering more about myself and how my body can transform the energy and create pleasure, submission and all these feelings.
  28. [8/21/2016 12:58:30 PM] Aurelia Alder: Yes! There are so many different rich angles to pain play. Quite aside from any dom-sub dynamic, I really enjoy personally experimenting and guiding others into experiments new and diverse sensory experience. All of the endorphins involved in pain play, and intense sensory experience of it, naturally makes it a rich and complex psychological experience.
  29. [8/21/2016 12:59:25 PM] Lucidair: Actually, I didn’t know before trying that I enjoy pain. My original motivation was purely submissive.
  30. [8/21/2016 12:59:38 PM] Aurelia Alder: Adding in the dom-sub nature of being the person to control and inflict that experience on someone else, playfully, teasingly, or dominatingly, while also caringly and from a position of guidance and leadership, makes it even more rich and pleasurable.
  31. [8/21/2016 12:59:43 PM] Lucidair: And, I enjoy pain very much…
  32. [8/21/2016 1:00:04 PM] Aurelia Alder: Glad to hear it ;)
  33. [8/21/2016 1:03:20 PM | Edited 1:03:43 PM] Lucidair: I appreciate this guidance very much. It’s really necessary for me to get into the state where I can focus only on transforming the pain into pleasure (and taking it for her is a huge turn on which helps very, very much).
  34. [8/21/2016 1:03:27 PM] michael Philippus: Have you ever considered doing a file that would just keep taking a listener down and down until they blackout on command?
  35. [8/21/2016 1:05:14 PM] Aurelia Alder: Yes! Next month's extra credit will be a pure hypnosis fetish piece with minor arousal elements tied to going deeper and deeper down.
  36. [8/21/2016 1:05:53 PM] Aurelia Alder: Also I suppose the frozen meditative state audios this month fall under taking a listener down and down, though a blackout command is not included - rather one is left to drift at their deepest point
  37. [8/21/2016 1:05:59 PM] michael Philippus: (inlove)
  38. [8/21/2016 1:09:44 PM] Nick .: I'll also say that knowing you enjoy what you put into your files, that's what drives the submission even more. That's how my submission works, it's not that I enjoy certain things, although to a point that is true. But that I can take whatever a Dominant gives. To make her happy... that drives the true feelings of submission.
  39. [8/21/2016 1:12:25 PM] michael Philippus: I like to go out to my car and listen to you at lunchtime. Do you have have any 15 -20 min. Files planned that won't get me too obviously... Energetic so passers by would notice?
  40. [8/21/2016 1:12:39 PM] Aurelia Alder: Well, you will certainly enjoy this month's extra credit piece, which is frozen queening of a submissive's outstretched tongue
  41. [8/21/2016 1:12:50 PM] Aurelia Alder: Hmm, yes, a 10 minute take-a-break audio
  42. [8/21/2016 1:13:01 PM] Aurelia Alder: which works with my recently released inductions
  43. [8/21/2016 1:13:07 PM] Aurelia Alder: so that would be 15-20 total
  44. [8/21/2016 1:13:41 PM] Aurelia Alder: I suppose the freezing piece itself, but that is 30 minutes. This is because I often get carried away and go quite long on audio. Perhaps some succinct lunchtime sessions would be a good addition
  45. [8/21/2016 1:15:04 PM] michael Philippus: Alignment? That's the one I've been using :$
  46. [8/21/2016 1:15:43 PM] Aurelia Alder: As a small side note, I am assuming that by "in your car" you mean you are just sitting there in a parked car, not driving
  47. [8/21/2016 1:15:44 PM] Aurelia Alder: Please do not trance yourself and drive.
  48. [8/21/2016 1:16:11 PM] Nick .: I've always wished for this too. Something to just put on while taking a walk. Not too intensive (as this new piece sounds... yummy!!!). But something to just hear your voice. And to be reminded where my place is with you. I think you did something similar with your On My Way Out.
  49. [8/21/2016 1:16:12 PM] Aurelia Alder: Induced Alignment is one, I am also releasing "Tune In", tomorrow. A twenty minute voice-focused induction which works with Aura and Labyrinth
  50. [8/21/2016 1:17:04 PM] michael Philippus: Lol I can't move more than twitch no way I could drive. :P
  51. [8/21/2016 1:18:36 PM] Nick .: One thing that I am fascinated by, is the fact that most other hypnotists use music. Usually lots of heavy background music. Yet you rely on your voice only. And still have created some of the most powerful sessions that I've experienced. Curious what your thoughts are on this, and why you have gone without the music...
  52. [8/21/2016 1:19:33 PM] Aurelia Alder: A lot of people use background music to cover up production issues with their audio, or the small elements which are so difficult to remove in the last stages of recording
  53. [8/21/2016 1:20:05 PM] Aurelia Alder: However, it often serves as a distraction or simply rubs some people the wrong way. So, I would be limiting my audience for the sake of those few who really like it or it works for them.
  54. [8/21/2016 1:20:22 PM] Aurelia Alder: Additionally, if you have some music which works really well, a free program like Audacity will allow you to edit it into one of my audios in mere seconds
  55. [8/21/2016 1:20:41 PM] Aurelia Alder: Better to have an absence of audio, and let people add it themselves, than to freeze people out of my work by including it as part of the audio recording.
  56. [8/21/2016 1:20:47 PM] Aurelia Alder: Accessibility is always my priority.
  57. [8/21/2016 1:22:20 PM] Nick .: Good to know. But I appreciate your files for what they are. I really don't want to get into editing, or learning any of the "magic behind the curtains".
  58. [8/21/2016 1:23:19 PM | Edited 1:27:21 PM] Lucidair: Actually, I am quite happy that you don’t do anything in the background. It’s distracting. In the beginning, I liked binaural beats, but usually they lead me in the wrong way: Too often I fell into real sleep. Just following the sound of your voice works much better.
  59. [8/21/2016 1:24:31 PM] michael Philippus: Me too my favorite triggers are the one I don't consciously hear, but feel myself reacting to.
  60. [8/21/2016 1:24:40 PM] Lucidair: Moreover, it feels more personal without anything in the background.
  61. [8/21/2016 1:26:31 PM] Lucidair: How would you describe the
  62. place where you record your sessions?
  63. [8/21/2016 1:29:13 PM] michael Philippus: Is there any kind of help you would like? For instance I am a graphic artist/illustrator do would you like any help along those or other lines?
  64. [8/21/2016 1:33:35 PM] Aurelia Alder: I may well eventually put out a call for assistance with graphics or image editing, but am more than capable of doing anything that has confronted me thus far. I like to keep lots of imagery purely mental, rather than branch into providing tons of distracting pictures.
  65. [8/21/2016 1:34:03 PM] Aurelia Alder: I record in a comfortable chair, at my computer, in a space with minimal outside noise. I've improved my recording suite recently with a new microphone, and I'm improving my editing all the time.
  66. [8/21/2016 1:35:24 PM | Edited 1:36:25 PM] Lucidair: I have been asking myself how you manage with outside noise… But you seem to be a lucky person ((smile)))).
  67. [8/21/2016 1:36:40 PM] Aurelia Alder: Yeah, to some degree it's a matter of, oh ****, there's an airplane, better pause recording.
  68. [8/21/2016 1:37:10 PM] Aurelia Alder: Recording at night, which I generally do, helps a lot.
  69. [8/21/2016 1:37:58 PM] Lucidair: Oh, don’t remember me on air planes. I forgot that. 10 years ago, I heard them a lot…
  70. [8/21/2016 1:39:02 PM] michael Philippus: Funny I listen all times of the day but it always feel like night and not just because my eyes are shut.
  71. [8/21/2016 1:39:14 PM] Lucidair: Still, I think some human furniture for putting your feet would be nice.
  72. [8/21/2016 1:41:24 PM] Aurelia Alder: You listened to Mine, then?
  73. [8/21/2016 1:41:31 PM] Aurelia Alder: ;)
  74. [8/21/2016 1:41:35 PM] Aurelia Alder: As you said you did
  75. [8/21/2016 1:41:57 PM] Lucidair: Yeah, it’s a wonderful session: such a deep connection.
  76. [8/21/2016 1:42:55 PM] Lucidair: I was just remembered when I imagined your place.
  77. [8/21/2016 1:50:19 PM] Aurelia Alder: No human furniture in the everyday. I'm afraid.
  78. [8/21/2016 1:53:43 PM] Lucidair: It’s still such a blissful thought…
  79. [8/21/2016 2:00:05 PM] michael Philippus: Your accent is mostly American but slightly Irish? It is beautiful I had an aunt with a similar accent.
  80. [8/21/2016 2:04:32 PM] Aurelia Alder: Yes, that should be me! Irish mum, American dad, a lot of childhood in Ireland and elsewhere UK, and now living in the US
  81. [8/21/2016 2:05:57 PM] Aurelia Alder: Although these days, I've also noticed that a lot of "100% Irish-Irish" folk can have pretty American-ish accents too. I think the internet and TV have been changing things.
  82. [8/21/2016 2:06:20 PM] Aurelia Alder: And of course the heavy stereotype brogue was always a particular regional minority, anyway
  83. [8/21/2016 2:07:11 PM] michael Philippus: My aunt lived all her life in Texas but she became a nun at 16 and picked up a slight accent from years live in a convent.
  84. [8/21/2016 2:08:50 PM] michael Philippus: More and more BBC shows are showing up over here too.
  85. [8/21/2016 2:12:17 PM] Aurelia Alder: True! And Harry Potter, GOT, Dr. Who, Downton Abbey, Sherlock, John Oliver... Lots of British accent on US TV.
  86. [8/21/2016 2:12:50 PM] Aurelia Alder: Plus the new Robot Wars
  87. [8/21/2016 2:13:45 PM | Edited 2:15:13 PM] Lucidair: Well, it’s at least very pleasant to trance to that accent. Often, I concentrate more on the pure sound of your voice and let the words flow into me.
  88. [8/21/2016 2:13:59 PM] michael Philippus: I steam from Acorn and watch even more Chief Inspector fill in the blank.
  89. [8/21/2016 2:15:23 PM] Aurelia Alder: Well, thanks all, I'm going to need to head out soonish to grab groceries - any last questions/thoughts?
  90. [8/21/2016 2:15:55 PM] michael Philippus: I have heard a few hypnotist who's accent or voice I can get past.
  91. [8/21/2016 2:16:36 PM] michael Philippus: It was a thrill to chat with you.
  92. [8/21/2016 2:17:06 PM] Aurelia Alder: Likewise! I guess there's not much weekend left, but enjoy what's left of it!
  93. [8/21/2016 2:17:07 PM] Lucidair: Thank you very much, Ms. Alder! I wish you a wonderful day. Enjoy it!
