everyone: this civil war arc is DUMB!!!

me: the civil war arc is literally about a complex sociopolitical conflict. about whether endangering minority lives for the good of the “majority” is the “right thing to do”. the civil war arc touches on oppression of the mutants/inhumans/superhumans, and the moral conflict of “is it ok to force minorities to register publicly so we can track them at all times and possibly kill them from a giant plane in the sky if they step on our toes?”.  the civil war arc is about issues of liberty vs security and prejudice towards minority groups. about how there are some people who believe that it’s acceptable to violate the civil rights of the people in order to protect their own interests, and how there are some people who want to fight against that. it’s about asking “how far is too far?” when it comes to government surveillance funded by big business. it’s a question of “who’s lives are worth endangering for the sake of my own private interest?”
