1. >To say things aren't going well for you would be an understatement
2. >As it is, you've been a hobo for two whole years
3. >And not one of those blasted ponies ever gave you time of the day
4. >They treated you like dirt
5. >Worse than that, actually
6. >That's why you're using up your precious lungful of air untangling yourself from magic rope that is apparently super dense
7. >Because after being tied up in it, you sank to the bottom of the lake
8. >You can feel your muscles start to burn, a clear sign that you need oxygen
9. >But you're almost free!
10. >Almost out!!
11. >Almost free!
12. >Almost....
13. >Out...
14. >Your arms just stop obeying you
15. >Panic should be what you feel, but instead you feel strangely calm
16. >Your life flashes before your eyes, particularly that of the past couple years
17. >The dirty looks
18. >The loneliness
19. >All the times when you had to resort to stealing food to survive
20. >And the various cardboard boxes that were your homes
21. At least I'll be free from that...
22. >You think to yourself
23. >Everything starts to fade away into nothing, and you give a small smile
24. >Maybe next time, you can find something better
25. >...
26. >....
27. ...Something's off...
28. >As soon as you realize this, a dream comes into view
29. >At least, it's just like many other dreams you've had
30. >You're at a meadow you once knew
31. >As always, you lay down and watch the clouds go by
32. What a way to spend eternity...
33. >You sigh, but really it's nice
34. >You haven't had the opportunity to really relax for two years
35. >You've had to be alert just to live
36. >So now, you enjoy your time in the calm
37. ...Th....e.....a....
38. >A sound
39. >Almost like voices
40. >Odd, who could be talking in your dreams?
41. ...mov...ge.....er!
42. >They're getting clearer
43. >You think you can....
44. ...coming to! GO!
45. >Wait, wha-
46.
___
47. >Your dream swirls around, and you feel yourself lurch upside down
48. >Then your eyes snap open
49. >You don't even know what you see, because the first thing you do is hurl water
50. >The first thing that registers is that you're upside down, making it easier to drain your lungs
51. >The second is that the ropes are gone, and you are in fact being held in your position by somebody
52. *GASP*
53. >Air
54. >Sweet, fresh air
55. >On your gasping, whoever was holding you let go
56. >You half tumble to the floor, where you just lay while your breathing regulates
57. >Footsteps come towards you
58. Welcome; To my home
59. >You gather the strength to sit upright, and turn towards the voice
60. >All you can think of is gratitude
61. Thank you, stranger. I am in your debt
62. >And who would stand before you than a large, dog-like creature
63. >After a land of magical miniature horses, it doesn't phase you much
64. >Whoever he is, he smiles
65. Think nothing of it. I just hope we can be friends
66. My name is Rover. The dog behind you is Fido
67. >Fido gives a small nod and wave
68. Fido
69. >He looks much more muscular than Rover
70. >Must be the strong-arm
71. >Another, shorter dog comes around the corner
72. Hey boss, is he awake?
73. >Rover looks over at him and smiles
74. Yes. Spot, I want you to meet... Actually, I never got your name
75. >That's right
76. >They haven't asked yet
77. >No reason to keep them in the dark
78. I'm Anon
79. >A friendly smile
80. I'm Spot. Nice to meet you!
81. >He seems like a very happy kind of person... er... dog?
82. >You stand up, and what remains of your shirt rips away
83. >Honestly you're quite surprised you haven't lost it yet
84. >It's been tattered rags for months
85. >When it falls, it reveals your frame
86. >Which is almost skin and bones
87. >You can count all your ribs
88. >The trio looks taken aback by the sight
89. >After a moment of awkward silence, Rover speaks up
90. Would you like to join us for dinner?
91. >Would you?!
92.
Would I?!
93. >Hell yes
94. Yes please. I haven't had a decent meal in...
95. >The thought stops you cold
96. >You mostly scavenge the dumpsters
97. >Plus, with the constant moving around lately, you can't remember when your last good meal was
98. >So you follow them down a short hallway into a dining room
99. >It is furnished with a table and what may be stone blocks covered with blankets around it
100. >In the center sits a buffet of food, with what looks like pork, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and gems
101. >The gems seem a little out of place, but everything else looks delicious
102. >Well, bon appetite
103.
104. >It turns out, they eat the gems along with everything else
105. >And you ate the most
106. >It feels so good to be full again
107. *Yawn*
108. >And boy does it make you tired
109. >Looking around the table, it would seem that so is everyone else
110. >Where are you going to sleep?
111. >You look aver at Spot, who seems to know just what you're thinking
112. Sleep anywhere you like, friend
113. >Says Spot, who brings out some blankets and pillows for everyone
114. >In an almost sad way, you grab a blanket, grab the pillow, and go right to sleep
115. >Sad because for the past few years, you've come to like sleeping like this
116. >Only difference is that now you had something actually resembling bedding
117. >With a blanket wrapped around you, you don't feel the floor, and after so long, it's just comfortable
118. >Within minutes you're asleep
