  1. 01[04:58] <Botherer> Day 15. Today, we attempt to take a look into the behavioral patterns of the rare and elusive wild Rainy. Having caught a case of the sniffles previously from being overexposed to the cold of a mountain she and Chao Chao had left in ruins, the young girl has taken measures this time to try and scale the heights of just one of several volcanic mountains. To what use is this activity to her? Is she seeking to perform an elaborate ritual or something of the sort to reverse her current condition to have befallen her? We wait... And observe. And also assume that the narrator isn't completely full of shit.
  2. [05:00] <Rainy> "Hop... Hop... Hoppity... Hop..." Bunbun and Spospo are in towtow, all three climbers are hopping their way up. Rainy is loaded up, swaddled, buried beneath layers of clothing in addition to her toasty labcoat. She even has gloves and a hat on. "I'm gonna do a magic trick, Spospo..." God, being sick takes up a lot of energy. That or wearing 40 pounds of clothing around a volcano does.
  3. 01[05:03] <Botherer> BunBun uses his super speed to work his way up to parts of mountain ranges that Rainy has trouble scaling so that he can help the little girl up. There's a time or two when she accidentally grabs his ear instead of his hand and causes the both of them to go tumbling down, but instances are few in number. Spospo perks up at the thought of magic!
  4. 01[05:03] <Botherer> And SPRIIIINGS up on top of the two, bouncing between the two of their heads while conjuring up a little fireball spell.
  5. [05:03] <Rainy> Lala and Juju are
  6. [05:03] <Rainy> absolutely not allowed
  7. [05:04] <Rainy> Others are welcome to appear if they let themselves out, though. Bunbun's just hear to hop, Spospo's her companion for this important mission, however. They gotta get close to the top, first. Rainy does her best to lead the march onward, though she's really the slowest by far.
  8. 01[05:06] <Botherer> Because you never banned MagMag, the swarm of Magnemites pops out of the PokeBall that they somehow ALL collectively can float about in...
  9. 01[05:07] <Botherer> And let Rainy ride the lot of them llike a floating cloud. It's not comfy, but it works!
  10. [05:07] <Rainy> (They're welcome! Rainy just doesn't want the baby or the ice pokemon to get melted up.) Woohooo, Magnemiteswarm float! Rainy gives sickly but enthusiastic cheers as they carry her up.
  11. 01[05:08] <Botherer> 6,8Hello, hello, Rainy, you called? Looks like you need help~ MagMag, we shall get you to wher-ev-er you must go~
  12. [05:09] <Rainy> "We gotta keep it coming until we make it to the top-top-top! We'll be climbing while the others are napping on the clock-clock-clock!"
  13. 01[05:11] <Botherer> 6,8Na-napping on clock! *Beep* Na-napping on clock! We'll be climbing while the rest are napping on the clock!
  14. 01[05:12] <Botherer> The Magnemite swarm, though horribly outpaced by BunBun, who keeps egging them all on to get their butts moving at full shift, escort you to your target destination! Which is...? The top? Some ridge that lava's pouring out next to?
  15. [05:14] <Rainy> Somewhere near the top that doesn't involve falling in!
  16. 01[05:15] <Botherer> You find yourselves a nice, spacious little ledge on the side of the volcano that, while having streams of lava on either side of it, also has an elevated perimeter. Perfect for setting up the "Do Not Fall Over" boundaries.
  17. [05:16] <Rainy> Rainy takes care to paint such things onto the ground, warning campers not to swim in the lava. What a good samaritan. "So, I found these weirdo magic things, Spospo! Are you ready to try them out?" Rainy's the keeper of 3 bloody countdowns, I believe.
  18. 01[05:18] <Botherer> Actually, it was just one of any item per person. There were just three available in the loot list.
  19. 01[05:19] <Botherer> Buuut, she does indeed have a bloody countdown. It looks like a rusty, silver pocketwatch that, when you swing it around, has a red liquid swishing about inside. A little nob on the top lets you wind it up.
  20. 01[05:19] <Botherer> Spospo bounces excitedly around the clock, observing it with intrigue.
  21. [05:19] <Rainy> "Hey hey, it's got lava inside--I knew we picked the right place. Are you ready?!"
  22. 01[05:20] <Botherer> Spospo is psyche as ever, and launches a little burst of flame into the air. It sprays out in a little explosion, and you see a Spoink holding the pocketwatch with a ^o^ smiley face.
  23. [05:21] <Rainy> Rainy tries winding up the pocketwatch and holding it over the Spoink.
  24. 01[05:22] <Botherer> 6,8Time Magic! Time Magic! We don't wanna wait for the blast! Just wind it up, and don't warp us back to the past!
  25. 01[05:23] <Botherer> The MagMags sing as the clock is wound up. A wave of redness ripples out.
  26. 01[05:23] <Botherer> Spospo staaares at the wave as it splashes on contact. Embedded in his chest is the number "3" in a liquidy form.
  27. [05:24] <Rainy> "Ooooh, I bet it just takes time! Three!"
  28. 01[05:24] <Botherer> A nervous tension fills the air as the number reforms itself to that of a two.
  29. [05:25] <Rainy> "Eeeeee!"
  30. 01[05:25] <Botherer> The space around Spospo warps itself, and begins to spiral about.
  31. [05:26] <Rainy> "I bet you'll... Become forty feet tall!"
  32. 01[05:26] <Botherer> The bloody number drips onto the floor, reforming itself as the number 1. An inky blackness bubbles up around the number, creeping ever closer towards Spospo. He tries to bounce up and away from it, but as it latches onto him, he finds escape impossible. He just kind of jackhammers up and down as it holds a grip on him.
  33. [05:27] <Rainy> "Spospo, shhhh. It'll be okay!"
  34. 01[05:27] <Botherer> Spospo looks nervous and scared and fearful as the number pools back into a single blob, hollowing out around the middle. Zero.
  35. [05:27] <Rainy> "Just think, when you're 40 feet tall, you can just squash anybody who's mean to you."
  36. 01[05:28] <Botherer> At that moment, the blackness jumps up and engulfs Spospo. The spatial distortion spirals out of control, crackling with lightning. Despite his attempt to be brave, you can just barely hear Spospo crying out for help.
  37. [05:29] <Rainy> "Aww... Spospo, it's okay! I'll protect you from anything bad! This is just part of the magic, you'll be alright!"
  38. [05:29] <Rainy> "Ah..."
  39. [05:29] <Rainy> "Ah..."
  40. 01[05:29] <Botherer> A single firework escapes, blasting up into the sky with the words "I'm Scared ;o;"
  41. [05:29] <Rainy> "ACHOOOOO!"
  42. [05:29] <Rainy> "Please don't be scared, Spospo... It's okay!"
  43. 01[05:29] <Botherer> As if in that instant, a pillar of light breaks through the ashy clouds and engulfs THAT mass.
  44. 01[05:29] <Botherer> Roll !abomination
  45. 01[05:32] <Botherer> Little girls are engaging in mental processing.
  46. 01[05:35] <Botherer> The mass is but a ball of pure light. It bubbles about and spills on the floor. The resultant creature that begins to form is...
  47. 01[05:36] <Botherer> Well, it's got a couple of rounded shapes, for starters... Actually, a LOT of rounded shapes!
  48. 01[05:37] <Botherer> It turns into what you're assuming is some manner of a big-headed six-legged creature with antennae/feelers dangling from the top of its head from where its ears would be...
  49. 01[05:39] <Botherer> A small nub of sorts seems to be sticking out from where you suspect its tail would be.
  50. 01[05:39] <Botherer> As the mass begins to take on a coloration...
  51. 01[05:41] <Botherer> The first thing that becomes evident is its face. The face of a Teddiursa, though minty green. Like a shiny's. Its moon crest takes on the form of several hexagons, like a Combee perhaps.
  52. 01[05:42] <Botherer> Its six little footsies gain the same coloring as well. The top half of its "body", however, takes on the hard, crunchy shell of a Ledyba's, the wings flittering about a bit.
  53. 01[05:42] <Botherer> And the endpiece of the tail I mentioned before... It seems to have turned into a little Blastoise's water cannon. It even rotates on its own!
  54. 01[05:48] <Botherer> The creature's eyes are closed shut... Terrified to open them and see what's become of it.
  55. [05:58] <Rainy> "Are you okay, Spospo?"
  56. 01[06:00] <Botherer> Spospo slowly closes its eyes, which, unfortunately for Rainy, are perfectly normal eyes, and looks down.
  57. 01[06:00] <Botherer> It sees... Bearpaws. And freaks out, stepping backwards before flipping over onto its back. It flails about helpless for a moment, though you can see that it still has fluffy fur on its underside!
  58. [06:01] <Rainy> "See? You're adorable! You're some kind of teddiursa only abstract. And Teddiursas can turn into giant ursarings if you want to smash stuff but I guess that's up to you."
  59. 01[06:08] <Botherer> Spospo flips himself back upright, and takes a better look over himself. Weird cannon tail, flappy bug wings, and adorable bear paws... Strangely enough, he's okay with this!
  60. 01[06:08] <Botherer> Spospo runs over to give Rainy a good ol' fashioned tacklehuggle.
  61. [06:09] <Rainy> Rainy scoops up her six-armed teddybear. It's getting pinned against her in a big hug, though there are countless layers of clothing more than usual forming a padded surface to be squished into.
  62. 01[06:10] <Botherer> 6,8They did it, they did it~ They turned Spospo into a bear! It's pretty weird, but the Dreamscape, so who'd care?
  63. 01[06:11] <Botherer> Spospo wriggles around to face Rainy in the hug.
  64. 01[06:11] <Botherer> Add Bunbun for Group Hug +2.
