⭐︎even though he's stubborn and is prone to being emotional at first (i.e. quick to anger), ends up being much more rational ultimately and likes to think things through. can be a bit vindictive and enjoys drama. gets carried away in thought and predicting outcomes though which can cause the both of us a lot of stress. whenever alex thinks one thing, ed will usually counter with an opposite viewpoint or possibilty (aka enjoys playing the devil's advocate).

⭐︎alex and ed aren't totally separate beings. they function more like a conversation with each other when faced with a difficult situation, so one fronting over the other probably won't be easy to distinguish because they're sort of the same but not if you catch my drift. while ed and alex are still one person, there's a murky divide somewhere in between.
