  1. RANK-STRUCTURE
  2. A member of Civil Protection is equal in all aspects to their fellow units, regardless of experience and proficiency in the standardized loadout. No unit has more authority over his or her peers, and should not be treated as lower or higher. Civil Protection utilizes a commensurate system. Your only leader is the automated artificially intelligent Dispatch system, which issues directives, and overwatches all Civil Protection activity; however, your pseudo-supervisor may be any on-duty Rank Leaders. All directives issued by Dispatch are to be adhered to and performed with utmost efficiency.
  3.
  4. It is advised you learn from your failures and follow the correct actions of your higher-ranked cohorts, alike to that of how a baby bird watches its mother fly in hopes that it will once do the same; although lower ranks are more likely to be given more leeway from the radio dispatcher. The acquisition of a set number of sterilized credits will allow a unit to advance up the ranks.
  5.
  6. 0% Rank Points | Preliminary
  7. Typically stereotyped as the ‘new recruit’ due to this being the preliminary rank. Their weapon loadout consists of only a stun baton, most intention 00s stick to safer, more “socio-stable” areas to avoid armed anti-citizens and other situations that may well compromise their well-being. These are still new units and are such forbidden to engage in situations where tactical assault gear is required.
  8.
  9. 10% Rank Points | 50 Sterilized Credits
  10. Despite differing little from the preliminary rank, they have earned the privilege of using a pistol as their primary firearm in situations deemed necessary. Regardless, they are forbidden from partaking in sweeps where proper tactical assault gear is required. They are placed under heightened surveillance and still are reminded constantly to receive memory replacements.
  11.
  12. 20% Rank Points | 50 Sterilized Credits
  13. A unit who has reached the 20% progression mark has displayed competence and has such been rewarded with the privilege of having full rights to carry a side-arm to be carried should a situation be thought necessary to require it such as stability code yellow, although has not trained in how to use it—resulting in poor aiming and control on the recoil of the weapon until the unit begins to grow familiar with the weapon. Though you are still not able to take part in TAG-PT sweeps.
  14.
  15. 30% Rank Points | 50 Sterilized Credits
  16. Full authority is granted by the radio dispatcher to participate in assignments requiring tactical assault gear. Despite a growing familiarity with the Civil Protection and the principles it employs, a high majority of units will still simply be acting as a thug as opposed to truly being one at this point, most units still growing accustomed to their duty.
  17.
  18. 40% Rank Points | 50 Sterilized Credits
  19. Long-since been employed, the 40% progression mark confirms a unit’s foothold within the service. They have the experience to lead and organize protection teams much more easily, however the pressure on their shoulders is even more so present.
  20.
  21. 50% Rank Points | 50 Sterilized Credits
  22. The recently upgraded unit will find a pleasant surprise awaiting them, or more specifically, the H&K MP7-PDW. As with the H&K USP Match, they’’re issued no official training with the lethal and must resolve to their own devices to increase their proficiency with the weapon under the assumption it doesn’’t compromise their duty.
  23.
  24. 60% Rank Points | 75 Sterilized Credits
  25. Extended exposure to Civil Protection rations and heavy physical duty in the urban center will also enhance physique, and in turn, their potency with the standard issue stun stick, handy in any CQC situations they may find themselves in.
  26.
  27. 70% Rank Points | 75 Sterilized Credits
  28. A unit with the 70% progression mark will be expected to have received a memory replacement—any units not doing so will find themselves arousing suspicion from Dispatch and their cohorts.
  29.
  30. 80% Rank Points | 100 Sterilized Credits
  31. A unit who has reached this rank is seasoned, deadly and will usually follow orders with zero hesitation, able to brutalize a citizen for a simple stare with little or no remorse of his or her actions. Units at this rank may also use this H&K MP7A1.
  32.
  33. 90% Rank Points | 100 Sterilized Credits
  34. With no doubt is this rank extremely experienced, collected and brutal. A thug entrusted with a sizeable amount of leeway from Dispatch and a varied assortment of weaponry, presenting them as a person worthy of respect from their cohorts, whether they officially possess it or not.
  35.
  36. 100% Rank Points - Rank Leaders | 200 Sterilized Credits
  37. Rank Leaders are brainwashed intensely through chemicals in their supplements, frequent broadcasts and Dispatch reminders, and if applicable, memory replacement. Units who have successfully reached this rank are able to retire from duty for 500 sterilized credits, albeit often irreversible. Such a reward is rarely taken, most units, at this point, too accustomed to the institutionalized lifestyle of the metropolitan officer to stop now. One could even say they enjoy it too much. Because of the pressure that their position involves, these units tend to receive high amounts of anti-fatigue substances and drugs in their supplements, this making them, together with a mandatory memory replacement upon upgrade, extremely loyal to the Combine even more so than any other of their counterparts.
