  1. I had no idea what my score in the symbolism aspect of the written test was, but I certainly worked what little knowledge I could into the representation of a backwards circle in either case. Reversing the eye that symbolized the moon, I would get an eye that could symbolize… funerals? No, wait, a reversed moon eye would make a sun eye. Two suns on either horizon, the representation of the passing of a day which would in turn represent time but there were aspects for god and fire and the angle of time would in turn be altered by the overlapping images – the crosses that represented not the constellations but the four elements once more further representing unity of the outer and inner worlds – a celestial symbol of the stars in the sky – neither turning left nor right the symbol would be a fixed point…

While my door was very different than the Elric brothers’ Door that did not change that it would have similar effects on my psyche. So while it came to hypothetical symbols, symbols that were incomplete, I’d probably struggle…
  4. But when I looked at a complete transmutation circle? When my mind processed what the full circle would look like when I overlapped the circles in my palms properly? To someone else it was probably nonsense. To me, it couldn’t be more plain as day. How, I wondered, why, I questioned, had I not tried this so much sooner?
