  4. [2014-06-18 13:22:05] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Noble_Heart blinks in confusion at that. "A... Fear spirit? It did seem a bit odd. But I don't know if it's a spirit. I have never been able to see most spirits, but I most definitely saw that thing."

  9. [2014-06-18 13:22:38] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Golden_Dream starts gesturing. "Fear spreads with th' knowledge of th' feared thing. So, when I told everypony about it, especially Copycat..." She frowned. She just made her friend into a target. "So, I was thinkin', the opposite of fear is laughter, right? So I tried to make her laugh and..." She looked uncomfortable. "I ain't funny."

  13. [2014-06-18 13:23:04] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Noble_Heart contemplates that. "Yes, but I doubt it has the ability to hide itself truly. Otherwise I would not have seen it here, I think." She furrows her brow and frowns. She then shakes her head slightly. "No... I think this is something else. Though I'm not certain what..."

  17. [2014-06-18 13:23:28] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Bookwright shakes his head. "We got a location, kind of, where they found Ditzy Doo without the element. But that was all."
  18. [2014-06-18 13:23:33] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Noble_Heart nods. "Well that would be a good location to start, would you not think? Is it near here?"
  19. [2014-06-18 13:23:38] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Golden_Dream sighs. "I'll try t' get track it, but we need a lead."

  26. [2014-06-18 13:26:29] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Night embraces the jungles of Tenochtitlan in earnest.
  27. [2014-06-18 13:27:06] * Noble_Heart wraps a wing around Golden Dream gently. "Perhaps after a good night's leep, in tomorrow's sun, this spirit of fear will cause fewer troubles."
  28. [2014-06-18 13:28:20] * Golden_Dream churns the thought around in her head. "Well, CopyCat didn't snap out of it 'cause I was funny, 'cause I'm not. She snapped outta it 'cause she was really confused." She sleepily marched towards the tent, yawning midway through her sentence.
  29. [2014-06-18 13:28:25] * Bookwright nods. "Back to bed, for all of us."
  30. [2014-06-18 13:30:55] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Everything around the camp seems normal. The alien presence appears to have fled, at least for now. For a moment, Get_Lost spots a shimmer of magical energy deep in the jungle to the south. But it disappears before she can pinpoint it.
  31. [2014-06-18 13:31:31] * CopyCat sits in the pouring rain, looking at her hooves. Only Equestria's Love keeps her dry.
  32. [2014-06-18 13:32:22] * Get_Berry "there's something definitely magic going on in the jungle. i got a couple of peaks. i don't think it is our mind playing tricks to us... there should really be something out there..."
  33. [2014-06-18 13:32:53] * Noble_Heart gently extends a wing around CopyCat. "Come, let us have a good night's sleep and in the morning this will not seem so bad." She smiled to the other alicorn hopefully.
  34. [2014-06-18 13:33:09] * Get_Berry switches to heat vision and alternates it with night vision
  35. [2014-06-18 13:34:07] * Get_Berry "parlay, be a charm and take a look around the camp, will you?" the small flying object (S.F.O.) plays a patriotic tune and zips away
  36. [2014-06-18 13:35:58] * CopyCat nearly jumps when Noble_Heart touches her. She looks into the other alicorn's eyes for a moment before following along quietly.
  37. [2014-06-18 13:36:26] * Noble_Heart gently nuzzles CopyCat, before leading her back to a tent to find a good night's sleep. SOmetimes one had to hunt down and kill their own peace and tranquility.
  38. [2014-06-18 13:36:38] * Shatara has been applying emergency hugs.
  39. [2014-06-18 13:37:26] * Get_Berry looks at shatara "hey, do birds have some sort of enhanced smell or something? you know... senses really well developed that aren't based on seeing things... do you hear, smell or feel something unusual?"
  40. [2014-06-18 13:38:27] * Golden_Dream feels a little worried about Copycat, but a wave of fatigue came upon her. Fatigue yelled louder. She went to sleep shortly afterward.
  41. [2014-06-18 13:38:56] * Bookwright carefully folds his glasses, sets them on an end table, and promptly conks out.
  42. [2014-06-18 13:39:17] * Shatara stares at Get_Berry blankly.
  43. [2014-06-18 13:40:42] * Get_Berry frowns a bit "you know... predator extra senses... some... 4th wall precognition? lifebar analyzer?"
  44. [2014-06-18 13:41:12] * Get_Berry "a gamefaqs account for cheats and game guides?"
  45. [2014-06-18 13:42:24] * CopyCat uncharacteristically does not return Shatara's hugs. She slinks back inside the tent with Noble_Heart.
  46. [2014-06-18 13:43:19] * Shatara blinks. "I uh...got a pipbuck, I guess?"
  47. [2014-06-18 13:44:31] * Get_Berry that should work... if you see dots appear and disappear for no apparent reason, please tell me... i want to check something... i'm going into copy's tent to see if i can help with her problem... even if i'm not really optimistic about it
  48. [2014-06-18 13:44:59] * Shatara nods to her, and tries to be useful.
  49. [2014-06-18 13:45:53] * Get_Berry tries following copy and shatara "uhm, may i try to help with copy?"
  50. [2014-06-18 13:47:49] * Mare-Do-Well 3stares after CopyCat, looking worried.
  51. [2014-06-18 13:48:55] * Noble_Heart does her best to keep CopyCat comfortable, but doesn't interfere with Shatara or Get Lost's help.
  52. [2014-06-18 13:51:52] * CopyCat curls up beside Noble_Heart and lays down her head.
  53. [2014-06-18 13:55:44] * Get_Berry sighs and thinks for a while "i can't stand seeing her like this.... i'd like to try something to snap her out of wherever she lost herself..."
  54. [2014-06-18 13:58:43] * Get_Berry aligns with copy's face, trying with little success to lock her eyes into hers... not having eyes doesn't really help with that... then blushes slightly and mutters "shalalalala my oh my, look at the boy too shy" and then kisses the girl. until she has breath
  55. [2014-06-18 14:01:22] * CopyCat returns the kiss with tears running down her cheeks.

[2014-06-18 14:08:05] * Get_Berry lets go an puts her bare meetal forehead against the alicorn's forehead "memories can hurt... that's why we usually try to hide them, but... they are part of us. they hurt, especiallyy when you forgot them and they come back so suddenly, but you have friends... we're all here for you. we want to help, we beg you to let us help.... please, tell us how we can be at your side, when you need it"

  66. [2014-06-18 14:21:53] * CopyCat wakes quietly and finds a hair brush. She methodically untangles her mane in the darkess of the tent.

  68. [2014-06-18 14:22:27] * Get_Berry wakes up in a bad mood and quite confused. "what a dream...."
  69. [2014-06-18 14:23:45] * Golden_Dream shakes a little in her sleep. She seems tense, to say the least. He legs seem to move lightly. Like something had been set off.
  70. [2014-06-18 14:24:21] * Noble_Heart yawns and very slowly rises to her hooves, stretching a few moments in an effort to wake up.
  71. [2014-06-18 14:27:35] * Mare-Do-Well 3pokes her head through the tent. "Oh, hey, you're all up..." She takes in the expressions of the waking ponies and griffin. "...bad night's sleep?"
  72. [2014-06-18 14:28:34] * Noble_Heart yawns a moment. "Strange dreams. Worrying ones." She frowned. "Or perhaps just unusual ones." She tilted her head to one side. "Do ghosts sleep?" It wasn't really a question she'd ever considered before, like, at all. Do ghosts dream of spiritual sheep?
  73. [2014-06-18 14:29:52] * Bookwright rubs his sleep-filled eyes with a tissue and puts on his glasses. "Ooh, I feel odd. That dream was really strange."
  74. [2014-06-18 14:33:09] * Golden_Dream 's eyes snap open. She lay down for a little while longer before attempting to rise. Her getting up brought up the same image as a sheet being drawn over a post, droopy, loose, and clumsy. "I hate those kindsa dreams." She muttered.
  75. [2014-06-18 14:33:48] * Bookwright looks over at Golden_Dream. "Yours couldn't have been weirder than mine."
  76. [2014-06-18 14:34:28] * Get_Berry shakes her head a bit "copy' story must have hit me deeper than i tought...."
  77. [2014-06-18 14:36:17] * Golden_Dream exhales. "Naw, prolly not. But yer brain knows best how t' get t' you, right? So sometimes, I just have these dreams where it seems like it's actively tryin' t'."
  78. [2014-06-18 14:37:15] * Get_Berry "yeah, still, dreaming about that lenore pony was still strange...."
  79. [2014-06-18 14:37:23] * Mare-Do-Well 3shakes her head. "Not in a good way." Then adds, "I miss naps."
  80. [2014-06-18 14:38:25] * Noble_Heart frowns. "oh." She moves to get out of the tent and look around outside after the storm briefly.
  81. [2014-06-18 14:38:43] * CopyCat brushes her mane. Brush. Brush. Brush.
  82. [2014-06-18 14:39:03] * Golden_Dream raises an eyebrow. "Hey, question. Ghosts sometimes get in story books where they can go int' dreams. You try that?"
  83. [2014-06-18 14:40:25] * Get_Berry walks outside the tent... it is easier to get ready for the day when you dont' need to brush
  84. [2014-06-18 14:41:11] * Get_Berry connects to parlay and checks whatever the robot photografed during the night
  85. [2014-06-18 14:42:51] * Bookwright looks around for some Tasty Grass.
  86. [2014-06-18 14:43:18] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Outside, a watery morning light is filtering down through the jungle canopy. Water drips from branches above, and the ground is slightly more supportive than pudding.
  87. [2014-06-18 14:43:53] * Mare-Do-Well 3stares at Golden_Dream a moment. Then, "Nope."
  88. [2014-06-18 14:44:06] * Get_Berry thinks vor a while "i need to create some sort of water repellant forcefield...."
  89. [2014-06-18 14:44:26] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Many of the ferns look like they might be tasty.
  90. [2014-06-18 14:45:34] * Get_Berry doesn't see in a good mood. grumps a lot and sighs at least twice a minute. also, keeps herself quite away from the two guys of the group
  91. [2014-06-18 14:45:44] * Bookwright tries a fern
  92. [2014-06-18 14:46:12] * Bookwright munches. In between bites, he mumbles something about umbrellas.

  94. [2014-06-18 14:46:38] * Golden_Dream bites her lip. "Is that a 'gee, Goldy, that sounds like a cool idea, I'mma try it some time', or 'Yer an idiot, Goldy' nope?"

  99. [2014-06-18 14:50:00] * Golden_Dream starts to prepare the spicy leaves, berries, and large spiny fruit into a fruity salad.
  100. [2014-06-18 14:51:29] * Bookwright acks. "This is tasty, but there's pollon on the underside. Anypony got any water?"
  101. [2014-06-18 14:52:41] * Noble_Heart glances around, to see if whomever owned this camp before had bothered to set out barrels or other rain catching devices.
  102. [2014-06-18 14:53:07] * Golden_Dream pulls out her canteen and passes it to Berry.
  103. [2014-06-18 14:54:33] * Shatara looks for things tastier than plants.
  104. [2014-06-18 14:54:51] * Get_Berry gets the canteen, didn't ask for it but morning water is good water. takes a sip and passes it to bookie
  105. [2014-06-18 14:55:35] * Bookwright glugs briefly. "Ahhh. Thanks."
  106. [2014-06-18 14:58:36] * Mare-Do-Well 3blinks and smiles. "That's a nope, never tried it, my friend." She adds, "I don't even know how I'd try. Luna could do stuff like that... but she wasn't a ghost."
  107. [2014-06-18 14:59:30] * Noble_Heart sets about consuming herself some breakfast, as well. Even an alicorn has to eat, after all. More than most, even.
  108. [2014-06-18 14:59:55] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Sadly, no rain barrels have been set out. Although the roof of one of the tents has sagged enough to capture a large puddle.
  109. [2014-06-18 15:00:20] * Golden_Dream chuckles politely. "Well, th' Loonies back home seem t' have their heart set on somethin' like Luna. Although, can't really say fer' certain what they're worshippin'."
  110. [2014-06-18 15:00:39] * Get_Berry goes sitting next to copycat, doesnt' really say something, still, seems to be falling for some herding istinct
  111. [2014-06-18 15:01:39] * Golden_Dream shrugs. "I never really bought into it 'cause I think they're creepy, but maybe she is now."
  112. [2014-06-18 15:01:46] * Noble_Heart refills canteens from the puddle. Making sure they had plenty of water for their ongoing journey.
  113. [2014-06-18 15:04:06] * CopyCat turns to Get_Berry, wearing a smile. "Good morning Get. Did you sleep well?"
  114. [2014-06-18 15:04:38] * Get_Berry "not really. i had some sort of nightmare... very unsettling."
  115. [2014-06-18 15:05:15] * Get_Berry "how are you? feeling any better?"
  116. [2014-06-18 15:09:40] * CopyCat nods. "Much better. Dreams can't hurt you when the morning comes," she lies.
  117. [2014-06-18 15:11:24] * Get_Berry snuggles copy, doesn't reply immediately "i.... i don't know..."
  118. [2014-06-18 15:13:01] * Get_Berry "i should go back to work...."
  119. [2014-06-18 15:15:14] * Golden_Dream starts piling rocks up in a trough around the coals, starting to isolate the charcoal. She didn't know what kind of wood this was, but she knew that she wanted cinders before cooking kebabs.
  120. [2014-06-18 15:16:38] * Get_Berry trashes some of the tents, gathering most of the tubes of their structures, then gathers the fabric and starts cutting and sewing them into something different
  121. [2014-06-18 15:21:06] * Golden_Dream has some difficulties charring them down, but eventually does alright. Much more smoke than she wanted, but it'd just add a nice taste to it. "Alright, we're about ready t' eat n' go. Shatara, try 'n map out where th' thing might be on yer pipbuck. Yer' better at that thing than I am."
  122. [2014-06-18 15:26:34] * CopyCat follows her nose to find Golden_Dream. "That smells good."
  123. [2014-06-18 15:26:48] * Get_Berry goes back next to copy, works sitting with the others
  124. [2014-06-18 15:27:17] * Mare-Do-Well 3sits on the remaining tent and mutters to herself, "I miss breakfast too."
  125. [2014-06-18 15:27:42] * Get_Berry seems more than torubled, obviously something is making her worried
  126. [2014-06-18 15:29:10] * Golden_Dream flips the kebabs. "Hopefully, it'll taste how it smells." She looks up at Copycat, looking as if she's going to smile, and then thinks better of it and gets back to work. "Hey, Mare-Do-Well. How 'bout you eat breakfast this time? It's what we're gonna have on th' road later on, anyway."
  127. [2014-06-18 15:30:00] * Mare-Do-Well 3swoops down, waves a ghostly hoof through the food, gives Golden_Dream a look.
  128. [2014-06-18 15:30:34] * Bookwright sniffs, and sniffs, and sniffs some more. "Gosh that smells good, Golden."
  129. [2014-06-18 15:30:46] * Golden_Dream points at her head, and then mimes eating at Mare-Do-Well.
  130. [2014-06-18 15:31:00] * Mare-Do-Well 3blinks. What?
  131. [2014-06-18 15:31:42] * Golden_Dream rolls her eyes. "Just possess me 'n eat it. It won't bother me none."
  132. [2014-06-18 15:32:20] * Mare-Do-Well 3doublte-blinks. "Really?"
  133. [2014-06-18 15:33:06] * Golden_Dream shrugs. "Yeah, really."
  134. [2014-06-18 15:33:16] * Noble_Heart tilts her head to one side curiously, claiming some of the breakfast for herself. "That is very considerate of you. Considering your past feelings on possession."
  135. [2014-06-18 15:33:45] * Golden_Dream sighs, then looks down. "Figure it's fer th' best." She thought about the dream again.
  136. [2014-06-18 15:34:12] * Bookwright "Is anypony else creeped out by this?"
  137. [2014-06-18 15:34:18] * Mare-Do-Well 3doesn't hesitate any longer, jumping into Golden_Dream. The mare reacts with a jolt as Rainbow_Dash orients herself, then begins eating with fervor. "Oh wow," she says with Golden_Dream's voice. "I forgot how /good/ these are!"

  139. [2014-06-18 15:35:40] * Bookwright gestures expansively at Golden_Dream and Mare-Do-Well. "This... whole... conversation-thing!"
  140. [2014-06-18 15:36:06] * Get_Berry "sorry, i.... i'm still thinking about tonight i...." growls, seems both scared and unable to understand "i need a walk" gets up and goes for a walk, not very far, just a walk
  141. [2014-06-18 15:36:10] * Mare-Do-Well 3looks at Bookwright through Golden_Dream's eyes and asks with a mouthful of spiney-fruit, "Whaf's creefy?"
  142. [2014-06-18 15:37:16] * Bookwright runs out of words. "...you...this...Golden...thing...stuff..."
  143. [2014-06-18 15:38:18] * Noble_Heart taps her chin. "THe problem with most forms of control is a lack of consent. Golden Dream clearly gave her consent, so We do not see anything wrong with this." She takes another bite of one of the kebabs.
  144. [2014-06-18 15:38:49] * Mare-Do-Well 3insists the only thing creepy is how good Golden_Dream's cooking is.
  145. [2014-06-18 15:39:02] * CopyCat munches breakfast.
  146. [2014-06-18 15:40:27] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The spiney-fruit has a very pungent (and actually somewhat unpleasant) smell, but a nice, nutty taste. The spicy leaves are indeed quite spicy, although not as spicy as a rainbow.
  147. [2014-06-18 15:40:36] * Bookwright "It's still creepy! The food is delicious, but this is still creepy!"
  148. [2014-06-18 15:42:06] * Shatara watches quietly whilst nomming.
  149. [2014-06-18 15:44:02] * Golden_Dream smiles a solemn smile. She felt... Disconnected. In a way, this was nice. It left her alone with her thoughts. She had a lot to think about, what it means to use folk and be used by folk. It's something she's been thinking about for a long time, and never really came to a sound conclusion for. But she was getting closer.
  150. [2014-06-18 15:46:37] * Bookwright is not enjoying this at all.
  151. [2014-06-18 15:46:50] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Once again, Get_Lost catches a glimmer of magic somewhere south. Quite some distance, and difficult to spot through all the trees.
  152. [2014-06-18 15:47:36] * Get_Berry is not with the others, so is missing the whole 'oh my love my darling' ghost thing, but since there's no pottery involved, it probably wasn't going R34
  153. [2014-06-18 15:47:59] * Get_Berry sends parlay to investigate
  154. [2014-06-18 15:48:07] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Meanwhile, Mare-Do-Well vacates Golden_Dream, leaving her with the last few bites of breakfast to enjoy herself.
  155. [2014-06-18 15:48:22] * Get_Berry then, changes idea. splits the party and goes herself
  156. [2014-06-18 15:48:25] * Bookwright shudders involuntarily.
  157. [2014-06-18 15:48:58] * Get_Berry sends parlay to the group "tell them i got an anomaly and i'm checking it"
  158. [2014-06-18 15:49:19] * Get_Berry doesn't consider the fact that parlay still hasnt spoken a word so far
  159. [2014-06-18 15:50:09] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The hovering bot zips back to the group. It hovers over the fire, dispersing smoke, and bleeps at them happily.

  165. [2014-06-18 15:55:15] * Bookwright stands up abruptly and follows Get_Berry, in an effort to distance himself from the weirdness.
  166. [2014-06-18 15:55:56] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Finally, she gets a better look. Ahead, through the trees, she can see a rocky ridge, the wall climbing about two dozen feet. At the base, there is an opening carved into the hill, lined with stonework. The entrance is framed with heavy, greenish stones carved in ancient glyphs.

  168. [2014-06-18 15:57:12] * CopyCat blinks at Parlay's beeping. "What's that girl? Somepony has fallen down a well?"
  169. [2014-06-18 15:57:17] <Mare-Do-Well> 3In front of the entrance, a legion troop wagon lists, rusting. Several boxes are scattered about. More are stacked just inside the "cave" hall.

  183. [2014-06-18 16:05:01] * Bookwright "Okay, let me see if I can figure out what kind of magic they are then."

  185. [2014-06-18 16:05:43] * Get_Berry "want to stay here and keep the situation under control? i'll go calling the others..."
  186. [2014-06-18 16:06:12] * Get_Berry crawls backwards and goes back to the others
  187. [2014-06-18 16:06:46] * Golden_Dream looks at Get when she arrives. "Where'd you go?"
  188. [2014-06-18 16:08:07] * Get_Berry "i got an anomaly not far from here, only, this time i pinpointed it and i went there to investigate before losing it again... i found a zebra camp. looks abandoned but has working point defense turrets and a cavern with magical glyphs marked on it... bookie is there, we sjhould join him, but pay attention at the turrets"
  189. [2014-06-18 16:11:04] * Golden_Dream looks at Get with a brewing look in her eyes. "Can y' help me with somethin' first, Get? I need t' set up some tools."
  190. [2014-06-18 16:11:36] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Bookwright's spell detects nothing for several minutes while Get_Lost heads back to fetch the others. Then he sees a pulse of magic washing through the glyphs like electricity through circuits, first through the glyphs over the entrance, then across the glyphs lining the hall.
  191. [2014-06-18 16:12:18] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Other lines of magic converge at some point inside, then leap upward, disappearing behind yards of thick rock.
  192. [2014-06-18 16:14:20] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Bookwright looks upwards in time to see the brief surge of magic, lasting no longer than a particularly long flash of lightning, appear above the ridge, traveling up each side of a large, carved obelisk of ancient and weathered stone.
  193. [2014-06-18 16:14:57] * Get_Berry nods to kid "sure, but we must be fast: bookie is on his own"
  194. [2014-06-18 16:15:26] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The magic surge reaches the tip of the obelisk (which Bookwright cannot see directly through the foliage) and fades
  195. [2014-06-18 16:15:32] * Golden_Dream nods. "I got it." She pulls out a pair of Anti-Matrix grenades that she picked up a long time ago. Duds, but maybe they can be fixed.
  196. [2014-06-18 16:15:54] * Bookwright "There's some kind of weird, traveling pulse of magic in those glyphs. It would probably be safe to move when it's not in the glyphs nearest us." He points at an obelisk. "That big rock there seems to be discharging magic or something. It's all very strange."
  197. [2014-06-18 16:16:34] * Get_Berry "i remember those... what do you want to do with them?"
  198. [2014-06-18 16:17:58] * Golden_Dream fetches one of Get's tools. "I'mma chunk one or both of 'em at that mechanical doohickey. Figure that'll teach it."
  199. [2014-06-18 16:18:17] * Get_Berry frowns "ah... do you remember that my brain is kept alive by a technomagical device? if that thing goes off anywhere next to me it will probably kill me..."
  200. [2014-06-18 16:18:53] * Golden_Dream exhales. "I recommend that y' don't be around th' blast area, then. Don't worry, I throw hard."
  201. [2014-06-18 16:19:20] * Noble_Heart frowns slightly. "We are concerned about the effects an anti-matrix grenade might have on standing magical enchantments. But at this point it may still be the best choice to disable the defenses."
  202. [2014-06-18 16:19:36] * Get_Berry "okay... it could work, but i'm not really versed in things that go boom...."
  203. [2014-06-18 16:21:26] * Get_Berry lets kid work with her tools and stays back
  204. [2014-06-18 16:21:28] * CopyCat coughs, as if getting ready to say something, but then simply bites her lip.
  205. [2014-06-18 16:21:29] * Golden_Dream looks at her grenades. "It's all a matter 'a making sure everythin's connected right and that y' don't have any leaks anywhere."
  206. [2014-06-18 16:23:18] * Bookwright "Don't forget remembering to throw the big lumpy part at the target, and keeping the pin."
  207. [2014-06-18 16:24:27] * Golden_Dream exhaled. "And that there's no fire or anything anywhere that'll agitate th' situation." She sets to work.
  208. [2014-06-18 16:24:35] <Mare-Do-Well> 3The turrets haven't detected Bookwright in all this time. Their sensor range seems to have degraded over time, and Bookwright is a fair ways away still.
  209. [2014-06-18 16:25:03] * Bookwright "I'm not entirely convinced that the turrets are even connected to the magical glyphs."
  210. [2014-06-18 16:25:19] * Bookwright "I think... I think the glyphs are older than the turrets. A lot older."
  211. [2014-06-18 16:27:14] * Noble_Heart shakes her head. "We do not believe they are related, most likely. But it worries Us that the grenade may have unexpected side effects. Perhaps We could simply disable them with Our magic..?"
  212. [2014-06-18 16:27:34] * Golden_Dream looks up at Bookie. "Hey. While we're here, gimme yer grenades fer th' rifle. I'mma go at them and shape th' charge a bit."
  213. [2014-06-18 16:27:58] * Bookwright already gave Golden_Dream the grenade launcher and all grenades earlier.
  214. [2014-06-18 16:29:46] * Golden_Dream blinks. Oh. Right. She dug it out and tinkered with them, before handing it back. "Right. Stand clear." Goldy prepares to pull the pin and toss the newly fixed grenades at the turrets.
  215. [2014-06-18 16:29:51] * Get_Berry as soon as they are done, the medic joins the others, nhzzling copy in the neck as soon as she arrives
  216. [2014-06-18 16:31:12] * Noble_Heart stands clear, flattens her ears.

  219. [2014-06-18 16:34:07] * Golden_Dream sighs. "Shatara, you and your big scary armor cover me!"
  220. [2014-06-18 16:36:13] * CopyCat starts to cry on Get_Berry's shoulder.
  221. [2014-06-18 16:37:14] * Bookwright "Er. CopyCat. Are you okay?"
  222. [2014-06-18 16:37:19] * Golden_Dream smacks Shatara on the armor on his flank, the obvious sign to "get moving", and then starts moving to take the jungle as cover from the turrets.
  223. [2014-06-18 16:38:01] * Get_Berry has no eyes and can't spare a tear, still, hugs the alicorn and sighs
  224. [2014-06-18 16:38:11] * Get_Berry as in, sobbing
  225. [2014-06-18 16:39:15] * Noble_Heart blinks and looks to CopyCat in some confusion. Moving to sit next to her and gently putting a wing around her.
  226. [2014-06-18 16:40:08] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Golden_Dream starts forward, followed by Shatara. The two close about half the distance when an E.F.S. message flashes. A string of gibberish followed by >> DDA Report III found. Download complete. <<
  227. [2014-06-18 16:40:21] * Bookwright backs away from where he was standing. "Um. Noble? Is CopyCat okay?"
  228. [2014-06-18 16:42:05] * Noble_Heart frowns. "We do not believe so. Though We have no idea. This is unusual..."
  229. [2014-06-18 16:42:18] * Shatara gets slightly distracted by the flashing messages, but tries his best to be helpful.
  230. [2014-06-18 16:43:50] * CopyCat 's words are muffled by Get_Berry's coat. "I'm so sorry. You didn't need to see... you weren't supposed to see."
  231. [2014-06-18 16:44:06] * Golden_Dream points at the turrets. "Yer in power armor, I'm in rabbithide. Go over, draw their fire, and then I'll try t' chunk these over t' them while they're distracted. Sound like a plan, Shatara?" She clicked the "later" button on her pipbuck. Not now. No distractions.
  232. [2014-06-18 16:44:55] * Shatara ulps a bit, and hope they arent armor piercing. Or lazors.
  233. [2014-06-18 16:45:05] * Bookwright suddenly realizes what she means. "Oh. OH! I... Oh."
  234. [2014-06-18 16:45:05] * Get_Berry sobs "it's okay, i... i'm so sorry... i dont' even know what to say, just... we will get over it, let it behind you, okay ponies change. things change. you're not alone."
  235. [2014-06-18 16:45:09] * Bookwright hugs CopyCat real hard.
  236. [2014-06-18 16:46:42] * Noble_Heart stays near CopyCat's side. "You are Our friend and sister. There is nothing you need to be ashamed of."
  237. [2014-06-18 16:54:11] * CopyCat tries to nod but she's shaking too hard. Her voice cracks. "I-I liked it when I didn't remember. I don't want to remember."
  238. [2014-06-18 16:55:28] <Mare-Do-Well> 3Moments after Shatara moves to provide a distraction, both visible turrets jump to life, gears grinding as they turn to track him. The turrets fire, launching small projectiles that erupt into glistening nets as they reach Shatara. The griffin rips them apart as they attempt to entangle him in poisonous webbing.
  239. [2014-06-18 17:01:13] * Shatara flails about at the nets, managing to confettify them.
  240. [2014-06-18 17:08:41] * Golden_Dream leaps up to toss her grenades as hard as she could before returning to the earth, flattening low and grabbing her shotgun to lay down covering fire.
  241. [2014-06-18 17:11:31] <Mare-Do-Well> 3In a one-pony hail of gunfire and explosions, Golden_Dream makes short work of the two turrets. And the ferns. And the other underbrush. Not to mention a few of the boxes, and rendering the (non-salvageable) troop transport into scrap.
  242. [2014-06-18 17:13:03] * Golden_Dream sits there with, what a lesser person such as the writer of these words would call it, a shit eating grin. She raises a hoof to Shatara. "Awesome! Gimme five!"
  243. [2014-06-18 17:13:50] * Bookwright nods. "You make an excellent grenadier, Shatara!"
  244. [2014-06-18 17:14:22] * Shatara blinks in confusion, seems to only have four digits.
  245. [2014-06-18 17:14:54] * Golden_Dream blinks. She counted five, at least. They only have four?
  246. [2014-06-18 17:16:02] * Golden_Dream stammers out a correction. "I mean, gimme some talon? I dunno. Come here n' give me a thing that resembles a high hoof-bump."
  247. [2014-06-18 17:17:54] * Shatara quietly and awkwardly fistbumps Golden_Dream.
  248. [2014-06-18 17:19:34] * Golden_Dream giggles awkwardly, then gets out of the muck to go back to the others. "Thing's dead. We can go in now."
  249. [2014-06-18 17:20:45] * Bookwright is still worried about the pulse, but he's let his spell collapse.
  250. [2014-06-18 17:21:07] * Golden_Dream spots Copycat looking depressed. "Hey. What's wrong?"
  251. [2014-06-18 17:23:55] * CopyCat stammers, "I remembered a bad dream."
  252. [2014-06-18 17:26:03] * Golden_Dream chokes up. "... CopyCat, did you dream about Lenore?"
  253. [2014-06-18 17:29:16] * CopyCat trembles beside Get Lost and Noble_Heart. "Yes. B-bad dreams are supposed to go away in the morning."
  254. [2014-06-18 17:29:28] * Shatara tilts his head at CopyCat with concern.
  255. [2014-06-18 17:30:26] * Noble_Heart nuzzles CopyCat's cheek. "Sometimes bad dreams are windows into the past. It doesn't make them easier, but they don't tend to go away easily.

  257. [2014-06-18 17:31:50] * Golden_Dream fidgets. Time to share with the class. "... CopyCat, I don't know what I'm really sayin' here, but I been thinkin' it for a long time. Folks use each other and get used by each other all th' time. I know for a damn fact that I couldn't have gone through th' castle if it weren't for you."
  258. [2014-06-18 17:33:59] * Golden_Dream continues. "But th' thing you can choose, sometimes, is who uses you, and that all depends on what y' are t' yourself. I chose t' let Mare-Do-Well use me t' eat breakfast. I chose t' let Crimson use me for this fool's errand. I chose t' use my dad's dyin' deed t' hide from th' world."
  259. [2014-06-18 17:35:14] * Bookwright grimaces, but nods. "We're here for you Copy Cat. Let us help /you./"
  260. [2014-06-18 17:37:12] * Mare-Do-Well 3alights next to CopyCat and nods seriously.
  261. [2014-06-18 17:37:18] * Golden_Dream finishes up. "It ain't th' who you are that y' should be worried about. That'll stay the same, no matter what. It's how you use the world that defines th' perspective of the pony you are. And that's can changed, through how y' use what's around you, and how you let it use you. Alright?"
  262. [2014-06-18 17:39:24] * CopyCat looks up, her red eyes wet with tears. "You know? And you don't..." her last words are almost a whisper, "you don't hate me?"
  263. [2014-06-18 17:40:45] * Noble_Heart shakes her head. "We would never hate you."
  264. [2014-06-18 17:41:08] * Golden_Dream chuckles a little bit. "Why would I? Y'did nothin' wrong, just wound up gettin' used, if it were you in that dream. Sometimes, y' don't get th' choice in what happens to you."
  265. [2014-06-18 17:43:10] * Bookwright is nodding vigorously as Golden_Dream speaks.
  266. [2014-06-18 17:46:42] * CopyCat smiles. A genuine smile that lights up her face. "Thank you."
  267. [2014-06-18 17:49:09] * Mare-Do-Well 3tries to hug CopyCat. Can't. Settles for, "You're my friend. I'd never hate you."
  268. [2014-06-18 17:50:35] * Golden_Dream smiles. "Mare-Do-Well, any time y' wanna possess me t' give folks hugs, you do that as long as I get some say in it."
  269. [2014-06-18 17:51:25] * Mare-Do-Well 3smiles back. "I think you need to be able to give her your own hugs right now more than I do."
  270. [2014-06-18 17:53:08] * Golden_Dream giggles. "Aw, dammit. I'm all covered up in muck n' stuff from th' explosion, and I wanted t' blame you fer it if she got muddy. Now, I'll have no excuses. How dare you?" She raspberried for good measure.
  271. [2014-06-18 17:55:23] * CopyCat tries to wrap her wings around Golden_Dream, Shatara, Bookwright, Get_Lost, and Noble_Heart. "Thank you."
