- Hi guys,
- I've been using the FreeBSD 11 RCs for a while now, and one thing I'm having trouble with, is making fonts smooth and anti-aliased when I'm using a window manager like i3 or window maker. I have XFCE and Mate installed for comparison, and text in Firefox and Chrome look very nice when I'm using either one of them, versus when I'm using i3 or wmaker.
- I've followed this guide to the letter: https://www.freebsd.org/doc/handbook/x-fonts.html, and in all cases, I have compton running in the background.
- What is the magic to making fonts smooth in older window managers that aren't using gnome or kde?
